Looks like I am the first one due 1st Feb but I tested very early as I felt weird and pregnant!

This is baby no 3 I have two DDs who are 2 and 3.

I think I've over done it today at a big event at work- I've been in my feet all day (14k steps so far and I'll get another 4K just getting home) and I've got some stabbing pain right where the sun don't shine BlushSad

Masweetpea1 · 05/06/2016 16:14

Hi all, I'm 41 (eek) and got my digi bfp yesterday, due 16 feb. This will be my second child, my daughter is going to be 1 on Friday. We figured we needed to have another quickly due my age! Worrying about mc, it seems the second time round you're more aware of risks etc. Nice to see in this thread I'm not the only one worrying! x

wispaxmas · 05/06/2016 16:54

Welcome, masweetpea, congratulations! Friday is my DD's birthday, too, but it's her second. Are you having a party to celebrate surviving the first year? Grin

Masweetpea1 · 05/06/2016 17:13

Thanks! We're having a small party for our nct group and then a family one. Bit nervous as the inlaws are coming to stay, i have nausea and sickness at the moment and i think they will guess! Would prefer not to tell anyone just yet!

Dutchy88 · 05/06/2016 21:01

Hi can I join?

Just got a very faint bfp tonight. Going to test again Tuesday (if I can wait that long) but there was definitely a line so I'm just hoping it darkens.

Have a ds who is almost 9 months and we started ttc again about two months ago but cycles were still a bit messed up from bf ds. Very excited but incredibly nervous too!!

Dutchy88 · 05/06/2016 21:02

Also I have zero symptoms but didn't really with ds until into the second trimester and I spent a lot of time convinced it was all in my head!

CorkyBark · 05/06/2016 21:33

Eeeek! Very early days but due Feb 16th and I'll be FORTY by then. This will be number three, a couple of years between each.

Bloody hell. Can you tell this wasn't entirely planned?!

CorkyBark · 05/06/2016 21:35

Oh, and hello to you all and congratulations Grin

twocatsandatoddler · 05/06/2016 21:54

Hi Dutchy, where are you from? My family are Dutch.

Congrats and welcome to everyone joining today!

Masweetpea1 · 05/06/2016 22:04

Hey corkybark, we're due the same day and 'older' mums! Nice to see its not just me!!

HappyMummy1234 · 05/06/2016 22:18

There are a couple of us in our 40's here, so you're not alone! Congratulations to you all.

Lala6971 · 05/06/2016 22:33

Hey ladies,

Can I tentatively join you? I am 2 weeks past our embryo transfer with our little ivf miracle. I have had one mc already so praying this is our time! Will prob just lurk for a while as very nervous and can't (or maybe won't?!) accept this is real just yet. I have my first scan on 17th June x

Lucy1308 · 06/06/2016 06:08

Hi ladies can I join you? I've just got my BFP (on our first bloody cycle- was not prepared for it to happen so quickly it turns out!). According to my ovulation date (LMP is no good as I got BFNs when I should have been late!! Think I had two surges!) I am due on the 13/02/17. Slightly scared and shocked it's happened so quickly. Hoping nothing that could go wrong does! Planning on buying a digi this week so I actually see the word "pregnant"!!

wispaxmas · 06/06/2016 07:15

Lucy!!! There last bfp of the May bus GrinGrinGrin congratulations!!

twocatsandatoddler · 06/06/2016 07:16

I'm 6+1 today, and said to DH yesterday that I didn't feel as nauseous as I did at 6 weeks last time - I've woken up feeling awful today! At least it's a sign that something's going on down there!

I'm also ridiculously bloated so look like I could be 4 months pregnant - struggling to find work clothes to hide it! Hopefully they'll just think I'm still carrying a bit of baby weight from #1! Last time I was really bloated at 7-8 weeks and then showing for real at about 10-11 weeks, and they say you show much earlier with subsequent pregnancies as your muscles don't hold you in as well, so I don't hold out much hope of not looking obviously pregnant well before I'm ready to tell work! Anyone else feeling huge already?

Lucy1308 · 06/06/2016 07:55

Hi wispa!! How many weeks are you officially now?! I know!! I literally could not believe it when I saw the second line... I'm never this lucky ever!! And me and OH as a couple are definitely not this lucky!! Now just waiting for someone to tell me it's all just a horrible joke... Will do a digi Thursday as we have been in our house a year then!! Would be a nice for him to see the word "pregnant" and not just a faint line!!

CinderellaFant · 06/06/2016 08:30

Twocats-yes I am huge! I look about 6 months never mind 6 weeks! I think it's triplets or something!

Due in February 2017
wispaxmas · 06/06/2016 08:37

I'm only 5+5, but I also look about 5 months!!

Lucy1308 · 06/06/2016 08:43

I just feel really bloated and very very gassy!! Which is just delightful... Poor OH!! Took a 4 weeks mirror selfie in my pants yesterday so I can keep comparing back to that haha! You lot really don't need to see me in my pants...

Kellz92 · 06/06/2016 08:56

And lucy congratulations last one from the May bus. Yay!!!

Congrats to all the bfps

Readytosettle · 06/06/2016 09:05

I was thinking exactly the same twocats. 6 weeks today & struggled to get into a skirt this morn, fortunately I've got a fairly flowy top which covers my bulging tum! I know it's a lot to do with bloat but also I really felt my womb expanding last week (I was in agony on Thursday night). I was in mat clothes by 12weeks last time so I suspect I'll get there a bit earlier this time :-( Just need to try & keep it secret til 9 weeks when I've got the first scan booked.

HighHopes16 · 06/06/2016 09:06

I agree about feeling bloated! I wore a bodycon dress on Saturday and kept having to hold my clutch bag over my stomach cause I just couldn't hold it in!! Lol
I've just phoned the doctors for my first appointment, she said the midwife won't see me till 8 weeks - will that be my first ultrasound or just a chat ??

twocatsandatoddler · 06/06/2016 09:12

HighHopes that will be the booking in appointment, where they take all the details needed for your pregnancy notes - family history and health conditions, height, weight, and talk through any concerns.
They'll give you your pregnancy notes folder with lots of info in it and contact numbers for the hospital etc. And they'll refer you for blood tests as well, and refer you for your scans if you haven't already been booked. Usually takes about 45 mins to an hour. After that midwife appointments will be about 10 mins unless you have any problems.

SpinALittleFaster · 06/06/2016 10:09

I feel really bloated already too. I was over 20 weeks before I had a proper bump last time.
Has anyone thought about when they'll tell friends and family? I have told my antenatal group for DD because I know that I'd want to lean on them if anything happened. I don't know when to tell our parents though. It still doesn't feel real so feels wrong to get them excited!

wispaxmas · 06/06/2016 10:13

spin, I have a messenger group chat with 4 close friends and I've told them because we chat every day and I need someone to know. Won't tell anyone else until after a proper scan - probably the 12 week scan, but might tell parents after our private 8-wk scan.
