Hi all,
Mind if I join? I had a BFP 5 days ago and like some of you have done 2 more tests and got nice dark lines....just feeling a bit paranoid had a miscarriage last August.
I went to see my GP today - it's so difficult getting an appointment at mine I just asked for an emergency one in the end as I didn't really know how it all worked with see the doc at the start (they must have thought I was bonkers) anyway, doc took blood pressure but then just said a midwife would call me in a week to make an appointment soon.
The wait will be tough! Got a bit of cramping and just trying to be positive, want to feel v excited...which I do...but just scared at the same time.
Ps...sorry for being thick but I don't understand all the dates you're discussing, what does 4+1 or 5+2 mean for example?
Pps doc said my due date would be 7th feb but looked like she just got that from looking at a dating calculator.
Positive vibes to you all x

wispaxmas · 03/06/2016 22:08

It's like WINTER in Kent today. Weekend should be nice, though!!

Hi jodie, congratulations! I'm 5+2 today, meaning 5 weeks and 2 days along from last menstrual period. HTH!

wispaxmas · 03/06/2016 22:10

I've only just noticed the terrible typing of my earlier message meant it got garbled a bit. I meant to say that I've booked a private scan for the 22nd of June.

CinderellaFant · 03/06/2016 22:13

I'm in N.Ireland and its boiling today! Has been all week, right up to 25 degrees! My eldest had his sports day today then the kids spent the evening on the trampoline and we had a bbq. Hoping the good weather lasts a bit longer

jodiebee664 · 03/06/2016 22:37

Thanks wispa...I'm 4+1 then!

Jojoclaire · 03/06/2016 23:45

Hi, congrats Jodie,
I thought I was 7th Feb too but may be a few days further. Went straight from miscarriage in April so no dates to go on Confused Stay positive, cramps nothing to worry about I'm sure.

I'm in Herts too! Lawyer and Two cats, we're east but about to move west, if solicitors would hurry up, nothing like moving to add a bit of unnecessary stress!

MarjorySunshineDust · 04/06/2016 07:39

Lemon gin (autocorrected from morning, I like it!) everyone and welcome to the newbies! I think my due date will be 5th Feb. Doesn't feel real!

is anyone else still breastfeeding first child? DD had cut down to just morning/bedtimes but she's been asking constantly this week! My boobs are quite sore.

CinderellaFant · 04/06/2016 08:56

Jojo I've went straight from a miscarriage in April too. Taking the date of the miscarriage as my LMP I'm due on 4th Feb

HighHopes16 · 04/06/2016 09:09

Going by the first day of my last period I am 6+2! Grin Still no symptoms just a bloated belly! I've downloaded the bump to baby app which creates a video of your weekly bump pics - far too excited !!

HappyMummy1234 · 04/06/2016 09:11

Me too Jojo and Cinderella. I would be due late Jan if taken from first day of bleeding but a friend of mine told me they usually add a week with a miscarriage but will be firmly dated on a scan (which is often before 12 weeks), so think my dates will be adjusted to 2 Feb. Trying to get an appointment at my GP is a little like the chances of obtaining a winning lottery ticket, so have booked first available date on 22 June! Will see what they say then.

Congratulations and welcome to all newbies!

twocatsandatoddler · 04/06/2016 09:30

jojo I'm in East Herts too. We moved here from London when I was pregnant last time - got an offer accepted on the house the same day we got BFP which was a lot to take in at once! Hope the move while pregnant goes ok! We moved when I was about 17 weeks, which turned to be a good time as I'd stopped feeling so exhausted and was still fit enough to help with the move and do DIY.

shadz · 04/06/2016 09:45

Cinderella I am due 4th Feb too . All the best to you Grin

wispaxmas · 04/06/2016 10:24

Twocats, hah, another who move in pregnancy last time here, I was 28 weeks and I still did all the DIY and flat pack myself! Including putting together the 3-seater sofa on my own Shock

PhoebeGeebee · 04/06/2016 10:59

HighHopes - I'm 6+2 as well! No symptoms here other than boobs that feel like broken rocks and some bloating & gas (seriously with the farting!!!) Got my reassurance scan next Friday but dreading it due to lack of what I'd consider 'proper' pregnancy symptoms (morning sickness and exhaustion) Feel like a bit of a fraud if I'm honest...

shadz · 04/06/2016 11:36

Phoebe I am with you about the bloating and gas it's terrible Blushmy poor hubs lol

Jojoclaire · 04/06/2016 12:52

twocats and wispa I imagine I'll be doing a lot of that too! Once 12 weeks is out of they way I'll be more up for moving stuff and hate having to ask for help all the time! I run events for work and lugged a pick and mix stand and load of heavy boxes just before I had bfp. Not sure if the odd exertion is too much or if it's more about pushing myself too far generally but am making most of DH til he gets fed up Wink

highhopes that app sounds good, the video would be one of those things I would love to have but probably forget half the time!

twocatsandatoddler · 04/06/2016 13:08

jojo I did loads of stuff when we moved- pretty much all the unpacking, the only thing I didn't do is move the very heavy boxes and furniture, and I didn't go up the ladder into the attic!
I think the key thing is to listen to your body - it'll tell you if you're overdoing things. I think some lifting and physical stuff is ok as long as you're not pushing yourself too hard.

We didn't have a bed for 3 months when we moved and slept on a mattress on the floor - getting up from that when 7 months pregnant was interesting! We also didn't have a sofa for 8 weeks as the one we wanted had a long lead time, so we only had hard wooden dining chairs to sit on, and I remember sitting on the stairs one evening crying because I was so unfortunate! The day the sofa arrived was the best day of my pregnancy!

twocatsandatoddler · 04/06/2016 13:11

That was meant to say I was so uncomfortable, not unfortunate! Clearly there are lots of people more unfortunate than a pregnant lady waiting for her John Lewis sofa - first world problems and all that!

Readytosettle · 04/06/2016 14:45

Grin that made me laugh twocats

PhoebeGeebee · 04/06/2016 14:54

Grin twocats

Blueskies80 · 04/06/2016 16:02

Haha two cats!
Well the spotting has stopped and replaced with headaches and hangover feeling, which im taking to be a good sign!
Roll on 12 weeks...

HappyMummy1234 · 04/06/2016 16:37

So pleased to hear that blueskies- been thinking about you and hoping everything calmed down. Pregnancy can be a very anxious stressful period! Fingers crossed its plain sailing for you now.

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 04/06/2016 17:14

Can I tentatively join? I've just moved over from one of conception threads where I feel like a bit of a fraud as I got my BFP at 10DPO and had only just joined them.

Officially, I'm only 4+1, due 11th of Feb.

Really pretty nervous as have had three miscarriages, two of which wernt discovered until 8 & 10 weeks when the baby had long since died :(
I've got a telephone appointment with my GP on Thursday where I can hopefully request an early scan.

It took us 6 years and two miscarriages to have DS, so it was a big surprise to get pregnant so quickly this time as its our first real month of trying since my last miscarriage last year.

I only tested early as I've had some very obvious symptoms, very sore boobs for over a week, cramping last Saturday which I think was implantation and the nausea has also kicked in!

Blueskies80 · 04/06/2016 17:30

Thank you happy mummy - so kind of you Smile

If at first - welcome. Sounds like you've had a rocky road to where you are now... Makes you so anxious about everything.. Good news about the nausea though!!

I had two MCs last year and for both I never really felt that pregnant, well maybe a bit more for the 11 week loss but not like previous pregnancy dc2 when I felt v ill... So am now embracing the hangover headaches and hoping for the best!

wispaxmas · 04/06/2016 17:33

Twocats, I properly chuckled at that! It does sound rather unfortunate!
