I love our Oct 2012 FB group. Sorry not to have been around until now. On last bus we were present from five weeks but the flip side to building the relationships strongly and early was we were worrying so much.

I have been looking at this thread for the last few weeks without daring to post!! My EDD is 14th Dec and I have my scan on 8th June :) 1st baby but second pregnancy after an MC last October.
Hope everyone is feeling better soon! I could sleep for England at the moment but slightly less sickly than a couple of weeks ago!!

Hello! I'm back from my travels! How has everybody been? I've not read through the post yet but hope there aren't too many required.

Flying and jet lag have me back to puking but have kept down some bread, half a doughnut and half a bottle of coke this evening! Scan in the morning then back to work

Morning all. I seem to be suffering with hay fever! Don't remember ever having it before! Anyone know what I could take to stop the itchy runny nose?

Knackered and moody, This! 9-ish weeks here.

So a few weeks ago I was craving carbs like crazy, but now it looks like I can't have any sugar or wheat based products without sincerely regretting it for many hours afterwards. I haven't vomited yet, but I think I'd rather - at least the offensive foods would no longer be irritating my stomach. Ugh.

Also, I've reached that lovely lumpy phase of pregnancy where I just look like I've been gluttonous of late and I feel huge in everything that still fits. I can't have anything tight around my midsection, so I think I'm going to have to break down and buy some maternity jeans. I'm annoyed by this, irrationally so!

Im on a packed commuter train preparing to break the news to my team at work today. Am 13 weeks and already told my boss but strangely not looking forward to having it out in public - it feels such a personal thing. Also can imagine the huge amount of questions I'll be asked about who is taking over my role, how long I'll be gone etc and I just don't know yet! Ahhhh

Best of luck bow, I know what you mean about it feeling personal, I didn't really enjoy telling people outside close family and friends last time - so many questions to answer! I'll be putting it off for a while yet this time I think.

Scan today and feeling really nervous. Those expecting twins this time, you knew before your 12 week scan right? Just by chance or clear signs? With DTs I found out at 12 week scan and was totally shocked...

Hi Elodie, Good luck with your scan today! If you are nervous about the possibility of another set of twins, then you really shouldn't worry - As yours are identical the chances of a repeat performance are very small . To answer your question: I found out at 9 weeks (early private scan) and although I was shocked, I wasn't very surprised considering my symptoms (extreme nausea - though I know many people not expecting twins have this, too!). I wish you all the best today, and hopefully you'll be able to relax a bit more once you have seen your baby!

He he I know oriana. I told my boss about my MC in March and it was so excruciating. I said to him 'I'm so embarrassed' and he said 'why are you embarrassed', and all I could think was 'because now you know I've been having sex'. Didn't say that, obviously ...

haven't posted for a bit but have been following along - welcome to the newcomers and hope everyone's feeling generally ok (or heading towards ok) by now! i've been feeling better the past few days but spent most of yesterday sleeping, just felt utterly wiped out, and still managed a full night's sleep last night!

lilydaisyrose was it you asking about camping while pregnant? i went to a festival while 6 months pregnant with my first - it was mostly fine, the biggest pain was just needing to wee all the time so lots of queueing for toilets. in the night it was freezing and i couldn't face the constant trips to the loo so i had an effective but slightly grim solution.

i bought a SheWee (www.shewee.com/ or you can get them on ebay) and went inside the tent into an empty coke bottle! i'll be honest, it wasn't very dignified, but it did the job and i just got up early in the morning and emptied it into the portaloos...

That made me laugh swan! My director actually started talking about her sex life when I told her about my latest mc. Totally inappropriate and I wanted the ground to swallow me up!

Got another scan this afternoon. I'm hoping they can see more than last week.

I'll be going camping throughout the summer. I plan to make a portaloo with a bucket (and lid!), bin liners and nappies. That's my only concern.

I think I knew it wasn't twins really, but thanks for the reassurance notaclue. I managed to work myself into a frenzy about it, thinking how ms seems just as bad this time 'round and I'm a similar size etc etc.

My hayfever's bad too weechops. I'm not sure what to take either - I'm going to ask the chemist for advice. Sneezing + relaxed pregnancy muscles = soreness & accidental leaks!

Thanks lily! We did get a lovely picture thanks, reasonably clear despite the baby wriggling lots.

Oh yes, EDD is now 16th December so moved a few days closer, which is nice. Still a chance of a Christmas baby though! DTs arrived at 37 weeks on the dot so there's a chance I'll be early again, but who knows.

Sorry to hear about hayfever woes, I thought the rubbish weather today would quieten that down, but clearly not.

I'm going to work from home for the rest of the day, what a treat! ...must actually work and not spend all day on MN!

Speaking of hayfever (which I get really badly but haven't suffered from yet) in my last pregnancy my gp prescribed me antihistamines for sickness & it helped my hayfever too (I can't remember how effective the meds were for ms though!)

Completely agree about hayfever, my eyes have been so itchy everyday and I don't normally get hay fever!!
Is everyone that hasn't had a scan yet, more nervous or excited for the scan? X

When are you all thinking of telling older DCs if you have them? I'm planning on waiting until mine start asking/guessing I think... They're mostly oblivious so I'm guessing that won't be until I'm the size of a house.
