Summers here and bumps are busy growing. Scans photos are coming thick and fast and team pink and blue are rampining up their numbers.

We have new grads furiously POAS, second trimesters eager for their bumps and veterans about to embark on trimester 3 and contemplating baby size with mild terror apprehension.

The weathers to hot for comfort and our pregnancy aches, pains and symptoms are getting on our tits literally in some cases !!

All are welcome to TTC#1 grads thread #6

Blimey, you girls have been busy chatting today! Smile

Bunch enjoy your visit with SIL. Hope your grooming went well Wink

I know you didn't want the physio to tell you to slow down but it sounds like they're right. Pain is you're body's way of saying pack it in Confused

Soda I have a 4ft bolster pillow from Amazon and I love it! Can't sleep without it now... OH may have to remove it when I'm not looking after potato's born as while he is happy with it helping me sleep at the moment he has named it gooseberry and is not impressed with it getting more hugs than him! also, every time I get up in the night to go to the loo I give him a good thwack with it Wink

Your tube experience sounds terrible! I think it's supposed to cool down for a couple of days now though so hopefully you'll get a bit of a reprieve. I don't envy any of you girls who have to get on the tube/train.

Shelb that green drink looks truly revolting!
I still stand by fig rolls as a poop aid Grin

Lauren Yay! For the 20 week mark Grin

Miley I'm not sure there is such a thing as too many satsumas as such, just be careful the acid content isn't making your nausea worse.

That's a lovely little bump you have growing Smile

Feef I wouldn't worry too much about the cured meat. I think we've all accidentally eaten something we shouldn't at some point and it doesn't seem to have done any harm.

I don't think I'd be keen on a home birth either... Apart from the fact I would like to be in the vicinity of some nice expensive medical equipment and dr's I also can't get over thinking of all the mess it would cause in my house Hmm I am probably over thinking that bit.

Your dad is psychic Confused

Co5mo I wish o could do some sewing while I'm skiving off sick, but my sewing machine has already been packed. I'm consoling myself by practicing piano now I can sit up on my own again.

Potato has really started getting active the last couple of days and nights I can see her kicks most of the time and OH even saw a couple earlier, although it's a pain, if I tell him to look she stops kicking Hmm
She has now also decided that 2am is a very good time to kick me awake, she of course then goes back to sleep. My baby is a comedian Hmm

Can't believe I'll be in the third trimester in a couple of weeks Shock the great Potato monitoring starts from 3 weeks time.

Lovely bump miley!

Sodasoda · 12/05/2016 22:49

Thanks lisa, yes I have a badge for the tube and in fairness people (women) usually offer me a seat - since I've popped out in the last couple of weeks people have really fallen over themselves to get up for me! But today was annoying. Gross sweaty man.

Thanks for pillow tips everyone. I had a browse round JL tonight and will do Internet research tomorrow and definitely get something.

Great bump miley - no mistaking that now Smile

Nevlet · 12/05/2016 23:13

Soda i have the dream genii... Not too bulky in the bed and has helped a front sleeper to cope on my side!

Not that I can sleep now as little man has decided my bed time is the perfect time to practice kick boxing my insides...

BunchOfBobs · 13/05/2016 06:21

Morning all,

Well Pip decided 2-3am was full on dance party time. I've never felt wriggles like it!! And the dog has decided he needs up now. He seems to get up once it's light. Whoever thought I'd need blackout curtains for the dog!

Planeteer · 13/05/2016 08:06

Morning ladies

Miley your bump is lovely! Am a bit jealous of its 'small-but-perfectly-formed-ness'. I'm a week behind you at 17+6 and mine is massive!! Will share a pic at some point if I feel brave enough!

Bunch sorry you got a slapped wrist from the physio. It's so weird when our bodies basically go on strike and won't let us do things that would normally be no trouble. Has the physio given you any 'approved' activities that you can be doing so you don't go stir crazy?

Soda I feel your pain on the Tube. It's so rammed and gross in the mornings, and so many people are unwilling to give up seats even when they've clearly seen the badge. It gives me rage! The sunshine was lovely yday but am quite glad it's cooler today!

Can I have some de-stressing vibes from you lovely lot please? Have a meeting this morning with my boss's boss to discuss workload and general issues in the department he's been made aware of regarding my manager's performance. He can be a fairly scary guy when he wants to be and I'm dreading it a bit! Don't like the thought of throwing anyone under the bus, even though there are clearly problems in the team. Urgh.

Also if you could magic someone to come and buy my flat that would be great! STILL not one offer and my plans to be all moved into a new place before Pancake arrives are looking less likely by the day. Grumpy!!

Sorry for the whinge!! Hope everyone has a good Friday. Here is Friday cake, just cos Cake

PotatosMum · 13/05/2016 08:14

Planet that meeting sounds horrific, I hope it goes ok.

You have my sympathy regarding moving woes. It's a nightmare but keep at it. How long have you been with your current EA?

We're still waiting for our official mortgage offer. Got the environmental survey on the new house today and all looks good. I'm at a stage on the flat where I'm ready to exchange just waiting for the buyer to catch up. The other house is also ready to exchange but they're waiting for the one other person in the chain. It really is never ending!

I'm off to meet the house clearance people this morning to clear out mums flat. Not sure I actually want to be there to watch as now it's happening I find it desperately sad Sad

Thanks for the reminder about pregnancy yoga Danni, I must look into it!

Shelb hope you're near a toilet today!

Bunch it must be frustrating, hopefully she has told you things you can do as well? Can you manage spin?

Potato haha at little comedian Smile

Lovely bump Miley!

Ni4444 · 13/05/2016 08:25

Hi Lillian hi Co5mo! Lovely to see all the old faces on here!
5 weeks today! Woohoo!!... But still so little!! Vivid dreams have started, but no issues with constipation yet..I seem to be going the other way...which is typical of my stomach! Glad work has been so busy...I'd be planning all sorts of pg things otherwise!!

Danni do you know when you're supposed to swap to pregnancy yoga?

Pinklily1 · 13/05/2016 08:38

Morning ladies

Try not to panic planet. Just be honest in the meeting. If there are performance issues with the manager that you are aware of I'm sure you won't be the only one to mention it. It's a difficult situation to be in, but if they don't know what the concerns are, they can't give the necessary support to the person with performance issues (assuming they are a supportive employer rather than horrible!).

I had a depressing moment yesterday. We go on holiday in June so I was trying my normal bikinis on (I want to take some along with the maternity tankinis I've bought). All of the bottoms fit fine but the bikini tops were way to small for my now humongous boobs. There was no containing them Blush Off to Primark today to hopefully find some cheapish ones to get me through. I'm a bit nervous about revealing bump to all and sundry around the pool as I know some people are a bit funny about seeing exposed bumps, but they will have to suck it up!

bunch, sounds like baby was being mischievous last night!

Danni89 · 13/05/2016 08:49

Ni I've never done yoga before, yesterday was my first ever time- I'm assuming normal yoga works your whole body, where as this one really work on the pelvic area and connecting with your baby. It was really relaxing and nice to be around other pregnant ladies.. Although a lot of them were 30+ weeks

Mileymoocow · 13/05/2016 09:13

pink bugger them, it's your holiday you just make sure you feel comfortable and are enjoying yourself. Asda also have some lovely bikini tops in if you struggle at primark.

I feel sick, I'm exhausted and I keep getting terrible cramps to go with the constipation. Today is not a good day.

Thanks planet but I will be huge very soon, it's growing at an alarming rate now I'm eating properly! Hello stretch marks hope your meeting isn't too brutal, we had to do an interview last year when our boss just wasn't good enough for the job and as awful as it is, its in your teams best interest to be truthful.

LillianFullStop · 13/05/2016 09:47

pink I think exposed bumps are so beautiful and anyway who cares what they think! You'll look perfect!

planet that sounds like a scary meeting. But I think if you answer truthfully then it won't be so much throwing someone under the bus you'll just be giving facts. Hope it's not too bad! Good luck on the flat too - I've been told sales and rents pick up in the summer.

ni I remember when it was 5 weeks but don't worry it will fly by! I'm 16+5 now and little bee feels like she's done some renovation in there I feel like my insides have moved around! No lovely bump like Miley yet but it's definitely starting to round up in lumps - can't wait til it's a neat bump!

soda I feel you I'm in the tube to and from work it's horrible esp in hot weather. I've shifted my work hours to avoid peak period so it's not as rammed but it's still bad. I'm not really showing enough yet for people to give up their seat Confused

shelbTa · 13/05/2016 12:43

Pink - go for it I say. Word of caution - don't know how you react to the sun but I've noticed loads of broken blood vessels from sitting out last weekend.

Omg - just had a greys sausage roll, amazing.

X

PotatosMum · 13/05/2016 13:27

Well I've had a rubbish morning. I turned up to my mums flat to let the house clearance people in and discovered that the warden had given access to some people who are refitting all the bathrooms in the old peoples home. They'd torn out the bathroom and were using my mums flat as a general dumping ground. Dust, debris and dirty hand prints everywhere and no way my guys could get to the stuff they needed to remove.
I had to go running around looking for the warden and as a result I think I've torn some of my fibroid scar tissue and am in pain again.
Finally kicked the workmen and their shit out, no thanks to the warden who was no where to be found and spent a exhausting couple of hours watching all my mums furniture and non sentimental possessions being chucked in boxes and removed.
Also had to deal with the swarms of old people dropping by to nose around.
It was horrible and I'm glad I never have to go back again Sad

Planeteer · 13/05/2016 14:20

Potato I'm so sorry that sounds horrendous! Are you back home now? Can you totally switch off and relax this afternoon?

Pink go for it with the exposed bump! It's the old 'those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind' chestnut.

Thanks for good thoughts re meeting. It didn't go hugely well, and felt like he was particularly confrontational about workload issues. He told me a story about how his wife was laying floorboards in their new house 4 weeks after having a c section, so I suspect he doesn't see pregnancy as any sort of a Thing.

Hey ho. Done now. Will see what happens!

Mileymoocow · 13/05/2016 15:57

Oh no potato that is rotten! That must have been so awful for you, how are you doing? Not what you need right now, especially ending up in pain again. Hope you're able to relax this weekend

planet he sounds like a jackass. His wife probably did it just to keep out of his way Hmm

shelb very jealous of your sausage roll! God I've done from eating not a lot to wanting to eat everything in front of me small children beware

There's a girl I work with, and I also thought I was friends with, who lost her baby at 27 weeks about 6 years ago. She's been telling everyone that she wishes she had had a baby first because she can't stand to look at me with my bump etc. I know what she went through was so, so tragic and I can't begin to understand how she must feel but I can't help feeling a little pissed off that she's openly disappointed her 'friend' is pregnant. I menioned today at lunch that I was disappointed we had cancelled our holiday in June and she's told everyone that I'm being ungrateful that I'm pregnant!! Someone tell me I'm not being unreasonable and that is wrong of her.

LisaTheGreek · 13/05/2016 16:19

You're not being unreasonable at all. She sounds like a douche canoe.

As you say, such a horrible, horrible thing to go through, but why does that mean she has the right to be nasty to you?

Danni89 · 13/05/2016 17:38

Wow Miley that girl doesn't sound very nice, I mean she must have went through a lot when that awful thing happened but she can't be mean to you or put a dampener on your experience, that's really horrible.

Sorry to hear that potato, glad you won't have to go back there.

I think the dreaded heartburn has started for me today, after eating a big meal at lunch :(

PotatosMum · 13/05/2016 17:47

Miley what a horrible thing for her to do. I'm sure losing her baby was traumatic but that's no reason for her to be nasty to you. It just shows her up to be a nasty, selfish person and I'm sure that is exactly what the people she's talking to think.

We have the kids this weekend but DSS wants to go out with his mates all weekend and DSD is at a party for a big chunk of tomorrow so it should be quite quiet really. Probably best as they've been here all of 15 minutes and they're already bickering loudly about my xBox Hmm

Oh well, Mexican food tonight, yum!

BunchOfBobs · 13/05/2016 18:06

Potato I'm so sorry you've had such a horrible day. What utter arse holes.

Definitely go for exposed bump pink. My SIL was going on holiday with her ILs and was worried about exposing the bump as they're quite prude. I told her if it was me I'd go topless too just to make a point (private villa) but that's just me.

Miley that is utterly wrong of her. Yes she went through something terrible but as I've said before, jealousy is an awful thing and makes people do the strangest things. I say distance yourself from her.

We've been on the road all day, having a leisurely drive down to Plymouth. An hour out now and obviously stuck in traffic- got a bit distracted at Cribbs Causeway oops!

Looking forward to an alcohol free Kopperburg when we get there Smile

IrregularCommentary · 13/05/2016 18:18

Sorry you've had such a tough day Potato, I hope the weekend is better, and at least you don't have to go through it again now it's done.

Miley, absolute sympathy for what she's been through, I can't imagine how hard that must have been, but it's still no reason to be a bitch to you about your pregnancy. I'd definitely be pissed off with that.

Planet pretty sure your boss was talking bollocks there. I find it very hard to believe that his wife was doing that 4 weeks after a c section! On the off chance she was, not sure why he thinks it's a positive thing that she felt the need to at that point...!

On a happier note, as there seem to have been some rubbish days here today...

I just became an official member of Team Pink! Was my (very slight) preference so am over the moon. She's all healthy and a stubborn little madam already, so that I'm sure will make for interesting parenting! Can't think where that particular trait comes from... Halo

Danni89 · 13/05/2016 18:29

Congrats irregular!! Glad the scan went well

Mileymoocow · 13/05/2016 18:46

Yay irregular! Brilliant!!! Did you have an inkling at all??

I'm so glad it's not just me being over sensitive. It's really hard as I feel like I'm on eggshells around her so as to not upset her when really I should be happily chatting away to my colleagues about babies and labour and stuff and not feeling guilty.

Enjoy your koppaberg bunch! Sounds delicious, they're my favourite.

Anyone else unable to eat proper sized meals without being in total discomfort?? I've been grazing all day but I had lasagne for tea and I can't move I'm so bloated and full and uncomfortable!! Same happened last night after enchiladas. Guess I didn't learn my lesson Blush

Pinklily1 · 13/05/2016 18:48

Congrats irregular and welcome to Team Pink! Was that your 20 week scan?

Potato, that sounds like a rubbish day. Try and relax tonight with some yummy food, hopefully the pain will ease.

Miley, I second what others say. A horrendous thing for her to go through but no need for her to make comments like that.

Bunch, the comment about your SIL going topless made me chuckle! At this rate I'll be doing that - Primark had nothing to contain my boobs Blush Will have a look at George on miley's recommendation. I used to love the Kelly Brook New Look ones but they don't do them anymore.

Shelb, I've stocked up on lots of factor 50 sun tan lotion so will be ladling it on to protect myself!
