Summers here and bumps are busy growing. Scans photos are coming thick and fast and team pink and blue are rampining up their numbers.

We have new grads furiously POAS, second trimesters eager for their bumps and veterans about to embark on trimester 3 and contemplating baby size with mild terror apprehension.

The weathers to hot for comfort and our pregnancy aches, pains and symptoms are getting on our tits literally in some cases !!

All are welcome to TTC#1 grads thread #6

Shelb I LOVE green juices. Mmm

Mileymoocow · 12/05/2016 12:17

shelb that juice looks and sounds awful! I hope it works for you

I feel for every one of you ladies who has to suffer the tube. I've been to London twice (last time was in december) and even then I found the tube stifling! I'm glad I can drive to work.

Can you have too many satsumas? They're all I seem to be eating and I've had about 12 in 3 days! Tho I'm not spewing as much now, the nausea is almost unbearable! I almost burst into tears in asda last night its so bad and constant eating seems to be the only way to curb it. It's a cobstant mixture of polo's, satsumas and cashew nuts.

LillianFullStop · 12/05/2016 13:05

Welcome Ni!!! Nice to see you here from the TTC thread :)

Glad things are looking positive now Potato and you can start to get excited!

I freelance/contract so like being self-employed if I don't work there is no cash coming in Confused

We've been planning for this little arrival so we have some savings to tide us over. Hoping I can at least get some SMP and ideally take 9 months, worst case 6 months and dreaming of 12 months off. DH and I will have to see how far the finances can stretch though!

Feefeefs · 12/05/2016 15:45

Shite.

Just ate a load of Parma ham/salami etc whoops! Didn't even think about it forgot it was technically raw because it's cured. Looked at NHS site and it says ideally freeze it first I did not do that.

How bad do we think this is?

Also now I have a major craving for more Hmmit was delicious...

Feefeefs · 12/05/2016 15:47

No potato don't fancy a home birth! Hadn't even thought of it as an option! My dad actually lives in another country, no idea how he's guessed, might tell them Saturday if the scan goes okay

BunchOfBobs · 12/05/2016 17:04

Feef I'm sure it'll be fine, if you never got ill eating it prior to pregnancy.

Soo Physio has told me off and said I need to slow down. If I slow down any more I will be asleep! I'm not allowed cross trainer and if she had her way I wouldn't be allowed the gym atall boo.

Mileymoocow · 12/05/2016 17:26

bunch! Be bloody careful haha. I had to give the gym up cause of sickness so I know it's difficult to do but please look after yourself! Also your ig bump photo is amazing. You have the perfect bump, so jealous...

shelbTa · 12/05/2016 17:30

Pink - where do you get prune juice from, tesco and the likes? I'm going to try and get some this evening.

Bunch - it was really nice actually! Pricey mind.

Feef - I ate a load in the beginning too accidentally! I'm sure you will be fine.

X

Feefeefs · 12/05/2016 17:35

Thanks shelb and bunch

shelbTa · 12/05/2016 17:44

Also pink - how much do you drink to get the desired effect?? I've realised what's causing it - got to be the iron supplements I'm on.

Pinklily1 · 12/05/2016 17:59

Shelb, I got mine at asda. It's in the aisle where the cordials etc are, rather than in the fridge section.

I had two glasses of the stuff (roughly the size of a whisky glass, but obviously not being used for whiskey by me!). I won't lie, it's disgusting, but that combined with Activia prune infusion yoghurts worked for me - I had two of those yesterday as well before we had poo related success Blush

Feefs, I'm sure the salami etc will be fine. I've been merrily eating smoked salmon believing it is ok, then saw a whole thread on here a while ago about how it is the work of the devil in pregnancy. I'm still eating it as NHS website says it's fine!

Bunch, I agree with Miley, your bump is amazing! So neat. Maybe just bring the gym down a notch. Could you swim instead?

BunchOfBobs · 12/05/2016 18:36

Thanks Miley and Pink. I wish bump were behaving, it's so sore at the top. I can't swim unfortunately Pink as that hurts my hips Sad. I'm buggered either way. Standing and sitting hurts my bump, laying down hurts my hips. Cross train knee feels great but is apparently exacerbating both issues. I'm allowed to continue with arms and shoulder work outs (though with pretty much no weight) for as long as I don't done my stomach or set off my bump pain. Treadmill
Walking is allowed but no incline. Waaaah I'm going to go insane if I'm not able to do ANYTHING. I really should get over myself and stop moaning.

Mileymoocow · 12/05/2016 18:44

It's really difficult bunch, definitely reason to moan. I was devastated not to be able to go the the gym but I knew I didn't have the energy to do everyday things so there was no way I could go. It's so crappy being restricted SadFlowers

My 18+5 bumpy! I love that I'm starting to show properly (had a few comments today about how I'm starting to fill out! Not so keen on that phrase)

Sodasoda · 12/05/2016 18:46

Ah shelb you have my deepest sympathy re iron tablets. Be warned - if / when you manage to go it will be BLACK! But it's nothing to worry about! Sorry everyone else Blush

bunch that sounds awful.

feef I wouldn't worry about it. When I tell my mum all the things were not supposed to eat now she delights in telling me what she did when she was pregnant with me. I've turned out OK Grin

Thanks for tube sympathy. Tonight was awful. For the first time I actually asked someone for a seat. I had to pat a man on the shoulder (who was studiously looking down and ignoring me). He was wearing a vest! And was so sweaty and disgusting, I feel quite sick thinking about it!

LisaTheGreek · 12/05/2016 18:53

Soda, do you have a badge? If not, I definitely recommend getting one.

It makes me feel comfortable to ask because someone always says yes, and sometimes people even offer when they see.

This is on Southeastern though. Not such bad people over here.

BunchOfBobs · 12/05/2016 18:53

Miley that's a lovely bump. I've been greeted by my mother today with "ooh you're piling the weight on now". Cheers Mama!! People are so lovely Grin

Feefeefs · 12/05/2016 18:58

Thanks for the reassurance.

Soda good on you for asking

shelbTa · 12/05/2016 19:24

Thanks pink - I've had two large glasses. It's quite high in sugar isn't it....

Lovely bump miley!

Bunch - today I had "ooohhh I saw you buying that cookie today, you'll get fat!". Exact words.

X

leoniethelioness · 12/05/2016 19:43

I wish I could get a Baby on Board badge to wear for my commute but I'm not in London! I'm just trying to force my way on quickly to get a seat now after Monday's close call with fainting.

Co5mo · 12/05/2016 19:54

Ni great to see you.

Thanks for your kind words about our garden. I've enjoyed a couple of nice days in it resting up. Went back into work today - it's amazing how anaemia slows you down.

Sewing Bee is a top watch for me this year...made a skirt yesterday while skiving from work!

Danni89 · 12/05/2016 20:02

Just come back from pregnancy yoga, I really enjoyed it and recommend it to you all. Feeling like jelly now though, think I'll sleep well tonight

LisaTheGreek · 12/05/2016 20:40

Leonie - if you really do want one, let me know. Very happy to get one and post it to you.

shelbTa · 12/05/2016 21:50

I am regretting drinking two large glasses of prune juice and taking a laxative. I am flammable.

X

Pinklily1 · 12/05/2016 21:53

A laxative and prune juice - that's sure to flush things other Shelb! Shock

Pinklily1 · 12/05/2016 21:53
