Thread #6 - TTC#1 Grads - Sun roasted pregnant ladies

Summers here and bumps are busy growing. Scans photos are coming thick and fast and team pink and blue are rampining up their numbers.

We have new grads furiously POAS, second trimesters eager for their bumps and veterans about to embark on trimester 3 and contemplating baby size with mild terror apprehension.

The weathers to hot for comfort and our pregnancy aches, pains and symptoms are getting on our tits literally in some cases !!

Yep, 19+1 today so a few days early, which is good for my impatience!

Nope, no inkling at all either way Miley - though my Mum's friend apparently thought girl as I've felt her move relatively early. Whether that's actually a thing or not, who knows! Dh is 6ft8 so I just put it down to presumed giant baby!!

Miley, that's awful for you, if anything she should understand what a nerve wracking yet exciting time it is and want to make it easier for you, even if she is disappointed secretly that it isn't her!! Horrible for her to have gone through that though.

OH felt the baby move for the first time today, I nearly cried.

shelb that's lovely! I bet he was absolutely over the moon. My OH keeps strategically placing his hand where the doppler picked up baby's heartbeat at 16 weeks. I haven't the heart to tell him it's not quite strong enough for him to feel yet.

I'm having a really weird pain/ache where it literally feels like my skin is ripping on the bottom of my bump. Kinda like a Chinese burn... I'm not too worried as it doesn't feel like it's in the bump at all and I can feel kicking but I don't want to ignore it if it is something... Any advice?

I'm only 5ft3 (and a half!) so quite a size mismatch. Hoping that she takes after me for now and waits until she's out for the big growth spurt!

But yeah, expecting to wince quite a bit Miley!

Potato what unfortunate timing for the workmen...mess all over your mum's stuff...like it wasn't gonna be gard enough for you. Glad it's over, hope you have a nice weekend ahead xx

27 weeks today and we have a bunch of bananas.

Miley I have a habit of eating humongous portions of food, then getting awful heartburn. I can't help it. Nothing can sate my hunger. My face is ginormous today. Even bigger than the moon.

Lauren that sounds like my pain. Mine is at the top and Physio thinks may be related to my ab split. You can get this at the bottom too. Look up Diastasis recti and see if you think you have it. If so I recommend getting referred to Physio. Not to be scary but my pain has only got worse and only they Physio has helped. It's nothing to impact baby though. Just more discomfort for us.

It's going so quick Bunch! I hope you start feeling more comfortable soon though, it doesn't sound fun.

I'm off to an NCT nearly new sale this morning. Any ideas on what I should look out for? I have a feeling I'm going to do aimless wandering if I'm not careful!

Thanks bunch I'll look it up. It feel a bit better so far today but it does usually worsen through the day. I have some scars from a surgery and they are really raised and red so I'm guessing they are stretching which could be part of it too! Yay ;)

Off to the baby show in birmingham today with DM and MIL. So excited! MIL is buying the crib if they have the one I want (dm already got us a pram! Eager :))

Have fun irregular, my aunt got me some great stuff from a nearly new sale, a bumbo, mamas and papas blanket, play mat and a baby bath were our listed items

Just debuting my new Mothercare exercise pants and bump at nearly 25 weeks for spin this morning. Love them!

Nice leggings and neat bump pink! I'm going to order to some today, I can't squeeze into my old ones any more. I'm spending a FORTUNE on mat clothes, but think just got enough now to see me through until the end.

Bunch - what was the kick counter app you're using? Think im going to start as kicks are quite noticeable now, bout bloody time!

You look fabulous Pink. In awe of anyone spinning though. Tried it once well before pg and literally walked out partway through the class. One of the most unpleasant experiences of my life!!

There are lots of online lists telling you what you need as a starter for your baby, I looked at a few of those and devised my own list from them then just bought cute stuff!

Does anyone know I'd Dr has a team yet? She seems to be the only September left I probably missed it

Miley I can't eat full sized meals without feeling like I'm going to explode... That doesn't stop me though I never learn!

25 weeks here and Potato is the size of a baseball glove. Ovia keeps warning me that now I'm nearly at T3 I'm going to start looking and feeling rubbish... Err, I can't actually remember a point in this entire pregnancy where I didn't look and feel rubbish
Potato is so active now, I have a horrible feeling I have an insomniac baby and she loves to kick a lot!
Someone asked me yesterday if I'm looking forward to having a baby... I still can't get my head around the idea that I will have a baby, I mean, I know I will and I'm fed up of being pregnant but my brain just can't process the idea that in 15 or less weeks I will have a small human to look after

God I'm so glad that I'm not alone with the discomfort of a food baby as well as a real one.

I'm so emotional today, my sickness is going slowly but surely and I'm so overwhelmed with how much better I feel I actually cried! And I'm not one for getting emotional. Managed an hour and a half walk with the dog through fields this morning and it was so peaceful I felt at ease for the first time in months and didn't want to come home. I've done 2 loads of washing, hoovered, bleached my kitchen , made bacon sandwiches for OH coming home from nightshift and prepared tea already thanks to having energy again. Sun is still shining so I think I'll make some fresh fruit smoothies and head outside with my book and sing with the birds disney style. Hope everyone else is having/going to have a good day.

Asda definitely sell the alcohol free koppaberg. I made the mistake of buying them once instead of the proper ones.

So pleased you are feeling better day by day Miley. You've really been through the mill and deserve to have a decent spell of feeling good! Don't overdo it though!

Shelb the app is just called "Kicks count" it's made by the charity of the same name. They say don't expect a pattern until 26 weeks though.

DH is just dropping me off at SILs and then is bye to him for the next week. MIL has warned me that this week may be a bit full on and to make sure I tell SIL when I need a break I'm hoping I'll be able to keep up. It's only 3 boys......

Am shattered today been awake on and off all night with a banging headache. DP up at 5 to take his DM to train station got him to stop on way back and get me some painkillers which thankfully eased headache... Was just getting back off to sleep about 630 and baby wakes up and starts break dancing away! Its so nice to feel all the movement and see him wiggling away but man I am tired now!

Just off shopping with my Mum and Sister they want to look at baby things- who am I to stop them haha!
