Summers here and bumps are busy growing. Scans photos are coming thick and fast and team pink and blue are rampining up their numbers.

We have new grads furiously POAS, second trimesters eager for their bumps and veterans about to embark on trimester 3 and contemplating baby size with mild terror apprehension.

The weathers to hot for comfort and our pregnancy aches, pains and symptoms are getting on our tits literally in some cases !!

All are welcome to TTC#1 grads thread #6

Aww thank you ladies for your lovely comments, I assure you by bed time I look ready to pop!
Stark family politics is always a hard one, my DH has no relationship with his mum or one of his brothers and they have previously called me all sorts of names. It has been awkward at his grandparent's funerals but you just have to think it's 1 day and then you can carry on without them in your life. Hope your DH is doing ok.*
Planet that's great news about the mortgage!!
Potato* sorry you have to wait until tomorrow, it's a pain in the arse when you have it in your mind. Try to keep positive and I'm wishing you luck for tomorrow.

I've been getting cramps today, like period pains. Not constantly and not really painful but the odd ache here and there, I'm hoping it must be everything stretching as Beanie gets bigger. She's been very active and rolled around a lot today so I'm sure everything is fine and I'm worrying for nothing

leoniethelioness · 25/05/2016 18:00

I put the wrong knickers on today and they've been sitting awkwardly all day. Do I need maternity knickers or just bigger ones? Help!

Pinklily1 · 25/05/2016 18:11

Hi ladies

Lots of chat today!

Good news on the house offer Planet!

Fingers crossed for a response on your mortgage tomorrow Potato.

Bunch, sorry to hear you dad needs an operation but hopefully once it's all done he'll be on the mend and able to enjoy being a grandad!

Indi, you look amazing! I'm going to look like an elephant on the beach in a few weeks time compared to you (although I'll be almost 30 weeks by then!). Did you have a lovely holiday?

Pinklily1 · 25/05/2016 18:15

Leonie, I'd just get a bigger size if I were you. I've got bikini style knickers that sit nicely below bump and are fine.

Indi, I had some period like pains around then and I think it's just everything stretching to accommodate growing baby.

Today I've had a bacon sandwich for breakfast and then a burger and fries for lunch. Not the usual intake but we went out for lunch so I decided to just go for what I fancied. Kind of defeats the visit to the gym this morning though Hmm

Feefeefs · 25/05/2016 18:32

You look fab indi!

Congrats on the mortgage planet hope you get sorted tomorrow potatoesmum.

Hope things work out for your dad bunch and remember doctors are human too I've known our bunch to add extra stuff on or work longer because they know a patients got a wedding or something, it's always worth mentioning.

I've got a uti Sad went to GP today who was 37 weeks pregnant, I had to help her find the prescribing guideline on the computer and remind her re samples and stuff!!! Maybe working that long isn't a great idea!!! She looked fab though I have to say

Sodasoda · 25/05/2016 18:33

indi I think my bump looked like yours pre-pregnancy when I'd eaten a big dinner! Wink You look great.

starky sorry to hear about your DH's grandad and witch grandmother. Family's are funny things!

bunch sorry about your dad. But it sounds like he's getting good care and they're keeping a good eye on him.

leonie my knickers seem to fit fine! They sit below my bump so not really noticed any issues.

potato fingers crossed for your mortgage.

I had a really frustrating time at the hospital today. Just the hour wait this time to see the obs consultant Angry. I never see the same person which annoys me anyway and she seemed particularly clueless about what to do with me. I've got different antibiotics to take and then I've got to see a kidney specialist next week and I'm booked in for another kidney scan in 4 weeks to check if the fluid around my kidneys has gone. There was some slightly alarming talk about needing to admit me and drain my kidney if it didn't improve but hopefully it will!!

Am 24 weeks today Smile Can really feel baby moving quite strongly now and I definitely look pregnant and not fat. Apart from the lack of glow, dodgy kidney and issues with constipation, snoring and farting I think it's a pretty nice stage of pregnancy! Grin

Laurenrl · 25/05/2016 18:36

So sorry to hear about your dad bunch hopefully the op will sort him out!x

Indi I'm so glad you don't work work with me or they'd be questioning why when you're only 2 weeks behind me you look so good and I look like a whale haha!

So my cat has a Lower urinary tract disease :( so he's on meds that he may need forever, he's cost me a fortune but he seems so much happier after his pain and anti inflamitory injections so it's worth it. Here he is being allowed a haribo (I usually don't let him, Obviously!) for being brave 😻

Laurenrl · 25/05/2016 18:38

(and sitting on his pet insurance policy that I was reading in case he needs to be on pills forever 😂)

leoniethelioness · 25/05/2016 18:43

Hope he'll be okay, Lauren! Stories like yours make me glad I've got insurance for my two! I hope he's covered on your policy.

Mileymoocow · 26/05/2016 06:21

Very dark and gloomy day here, where has the sun gone? Sad

Woke up at 3.30 this morning, finally got back to sleep what felt like minutes before my alarm went off so I really struggled to get up! Hope no one gets on my wrong side today.

Lauren the photo of your cat is ace! He looks very happy with his haribo! Hope he gets well soon.

soda I've suffered a few kidney infections so I really feel for you. I hope the antibiotics do work.

BunchOfBobs · 26/05/2016 06:49

Lauren that is an amazing photo of your cat, he's gorgeous. I've got my dog on allergy meds and know the pain of hoping the insurance will cover it. Thankfully mine have.

Potato I've got my fx for you today.

Miley I had that a couple of weeks ago, it was awful. Hope you don't have to trying a day when you're shattered.

leoniethelioness · 26/05/2016 07:47

I was awake for a good hour from two, Miley. My back was hurting and I just couldn't get comfy. I've been shattered all week and still am today. Thinking about taking my cafetiere in to work and buying some real coffee on my way in to keep me going. I don't drink caffeine at the moment apart from a can of Coke here and there or one normal tea if I'm in a meeting at work. Maybe it'll give me the kick up the bum I need. Feeling your pain today!

Pinklily1 · 26/05/2016 07:49

I second the lack of sleep pain too! I'm having to get up more in the night to go to the loo and baby was dancing at about 2am when I was trying to sleep Hmm

shelbTa · 26/05/2016 08:08

Morning ladies

How is everyone?

Trying to catch up.

Fx for today potato.

Omg indi - I'd kill for your figure!!

I'm stressing a bit ladies - after giving pink advice yesterday I now haven't felt the baby move much at all for about a day. Some tiny tiny pops high up but that's it - and that could be wind. She normally moves a fair bit in the evening. I've also got a bit of groin / period pain. What you reckon - ride it out?

X

leoniethelioness · 26/05/2016 08:17

Shelb - It's better to be safe than sorry. It's probably nothing but if you're worried get in touch with your midwife. How many weeks are you again?

shelbTa · 26/05/2016 08:21

26+3 x

BunchOfBobs · 26/05/2016 08:34

Shelb contact your midwife, best to be safe. Mine monitor from 26 weeks so you may have to go for a ctg and I bet baby will dance away the whole time you're there but it's best to be safe. I've just had to do the cold drink and lie down test as haven't felt Pip this morning. He's dancing away now.

IndiX · 26/05/2016 08:37

Morning ladies,
Lauren your cat is so cute, hope he gets better soon!
Shelb I agree with Leonie, maybe try the water trick or sometimes I roll from side to side for a bit and she eventually rolls around or gives me a kick. I'm sure there is nothing to worry about but phone your midwife just to put your mind at ease.
Pink I'm still in Portugal (hence the bikini bump photo) and go home on Tuesday. I'm sure you'll look great on your holidays, I think I would prefer a big proper bump for photos and stuff becuase I look a bit pot-bellyish atm.
Thank you for your comments again ladies, really cheered me up. I've been going through a mental battle with myself about my body changing but now I'm starting to accept it a bit more

PotatosMum · 26/05/2016 09:29

Morning all, how are you today?

Sorry to all those feeling tired and achey. I'm back in the office today so I feel your pain!

Planet woohoo! On finding a house, I hope it all goes nice and smoothly for you Smile

Stark the situation with your family doesn't sound like fun Sad i feel your pain though. I've been NC with my dads side of the family since I was 13 and I fell out with my grandmother when I was 18 and she was really spiteful and tried to turn the whole family against me. Still, she's dead now.

Feef sorry you've got a UTI. They suck! Sad

Soda hope your kidney sorts itself out Chocolate

Lauren poor kitty, at least he has you to spoil him.

Shelb do the cold drink, lay down test and if baby is still being lazy call your maternity day unit. That's what I've been told to do by midwife.

I'm so shattered today and got pain all over my tummy but I think Potato may be squirming into a new position as she's been wriggling and kicking in places she doesn't usually. I'm hoping she's getting into head down position as she's starting to fight for space with the fibroid and if she leaves it to late she might not be able to turn (then it will be a c for me Hmm)

Also, can't think straight today. Just keep checking my personal mail to see if there's any news on my mortgage. Advisor has told me she'll let me know as soon as she does but I'm just so nervous Sad

PotatosMum · 26/05/2016 10:10

I'm really upset. The mortgage company have come back asking for more info meaning that even if I can pull it together today I won't have an answer for another week. I nearly cried on the phone Sad

BunchOfBobs · 26/05/2016 11:20

Oh potato sorry to hear that. I have no idea why they can't ask for everything they need up front. Utter arseholes Flowers

Physio has said I'm doing everything right that she's telling me to do but that she's exhausted everything she can do to help. She's writing to my gp today to get them to refer me for hydrotherapy. I'm feeling a bit fed up with the constant pain so I'm having a piece of custard brioche and double choc chip cookie before cleaning the bathrooms. God I love Lidl!! My main worry now is how to tame the beast I can no longer see for regular pool sessions Blush

Canters15 · 26/05/2016 11:48

Hello all. I'm on nights this week, feeling grumpy as someone from my day job just called and woke me up....ffs you know I'm on nights and should be asleep!

Starky sorry to hear about your bereavement and family stress.

Indi, you look incredible!! I am going to sound like such a weirdo but you must have been so toned pre preg.

No other news from me. My bump appears to have deflated so guess it was all bloat. Need to book my 16 week midwife appointment but seems like a bit of a waste of everyone's time as I can check bp and urine myself and the clinic is not at a convenient time for my work.

Bunch sorry the pain is so bad. Mirror for fanny taming? Grin

Planeteer · 26/05/2016 12:35

Potato I'm sending you a house hug. We've just been gazumped on ours despite them accepting in writing and asking for our solicitors details. Back to the drawing board. Gutted.

PotatosMum · 26/05/2016 12:53

Bunch sorry you're still in pain Sad at least we don't have long left now.
No advice on foof maintenance, I gave up on mine ages ago and now I think I'm going to have to give up on my legs as I can't reach all the way any more.

Planet that sucks about the house. People shouldn't be allowed to do that!

I'm so angry about the mortgage situation. I'm still hoping it will go through but I'm having a proper foot stomping "it's not fair" paddy about how stressful it is and how we can't relax and enjoy the pregnancy/excitement of the new house because we don't know if we're going to be completely fecked and without anywhere to live in a couple of months.

What makes it worse is that the person who has caused us all this stress has fallen firmly on their feet. They're moving into a massive new house with their OH with no mortgage at all, they've been made redundant but due to no bills don't have to rush back to work so they've bought a fecking sports car that they're showing off. They're not a Nasty person intentionally but they are selfish and don't really care about anyone's feelings or well being but their own. And what's most annoying is that they are one of those people who you know will never get their comeuppance. They'll just keep using people and hurting people while they go on with their merry little lives. So cross Angry

Sorry to hear about the house stresses Potato and Planet. Fingers crossed for better news for you both soon.

Shelb, have there been any baby movement development since you posted?

Portugal sounds lovely Indi. Three weeks until our holiday and I can't wait!
