Summers here and bumps are busy growing. Scans photos are coming thick and fast and team pink and blue are rampining up their numbers.

We have new grads furiously POAS, second trimesters eager for their bumps and veterans about to embark on trimester 3 and contemplating baby size with mild terror apprehension.

The weathers to hot for comfort and our pregnancy aches, pains and symptoms are getting on our tits literally in some cases !!

All are welcome to TTC#1 grads thread #6

Canters panic not, apparently they return to normal. I'm guessing I've gone up about half a size so far but there's still a lot of arch to go so I'm guessing I'll go up a couple of sizes more.

PotatosMum · 23/05/2016 18:45

Pink I imagine if the fibroid fills up again there will be more pain but I'm hoping the majority of it died last time so if it does happen again it I'm hoping it will be less sever.

Leonie size 2! Bloody hell! I thought I had problems with size 3 Confused

I think my feet are just starting to fatten but I've been wearing sand lea for ages.

Is anyone else having near constant hot flushes? I'm usually cold all the time but recently I struggled to cool down.

Size 2 Leonie?! Crikey! How tall are you?

Fingers crossed for no more pain Potato.

Glad baby was behaving a bit more in this scan Lisa! I'm sure the just misbehave to tease us Smile

Mileymoocow · 23/05/2016 19:44

I thought I had small feet! I'm a size 5 at 5 foot 8. No change so far, but they do swell if I'm on them too long.

Here's a photo of my dog having a bloody good time on his walk.

I'm 5'0"! My sister is my height and wears a 4/5 so I don't know what happened to me. My shoes fit inside DH's - he usually wears a 12!

Potato - I'm hot all the time too. It makes my commute miserable. Seems to be worse in the morning.

Missed out on three breastfeeding cover ups on eBay today! Just not my day.

BunchOfBobs · 23/05/2016 20:06

Miley that is a cracking photo!

Potato I'm hot at night, but normal temp in the day I think.

I have size 6 feet at 5'3, I think that's large for my height.

I just won an unused baby monitor- retails for £75 but I got it for £36 boom!!

Danni89 · 23/05/2016 20:18

That's brilliant bunch- I need to get on this eBay bidding.

I'm 5'9 with size 7 feet, don't want them any bigger :-s

Canters15 · 23/05/2016 20:31

I'm a size 7 too. Glad feet will return to normal!

Lovely dog miley!

Pinklily1 · 23/05/2016 21:37

Ladies

Has anyone who is already feeling movement had a period when they then don't feel much at all? Baby is usually active in the morning and at night mainly, with a little bit during the day. Today and yesterday I've not felt much at all - just a few prods. Not sure whether to be concerned or not.

IrregularCommentary · 23/05/2016 22:45

I've had the odd day like that Pink. I think if you're before the time when they tell you to count the kicks then it's not something to be too worried about as there's likely to be more variety in movement a bit earlier on.

Saying that, if you are concerned then give your midwife a call in the morning. Won't do any harm and might put your mind at rest.

Sodasoda · 23/05/2016 23:23

Yes pink, last couple of days for me baby not moved as much and I was worried - tried to get it to move last night with prods, noise etc but nothing. They got their own back by waking me at 5am today though and have been very active all day!

LillianFullStop · 23/05/2016 23:41

leonie I'm a size 2 as well! Absolute nightmare to find shoes that fit. On the plus side I can buy kids size sneakers and it costs less :)

pink how many weeks are you? I'm 18w and I'm the same - mostly mornings and evenings when I'm laying down/reclining. They say movement should be regular later on but at 18w you would only feel them sometimes depending on their position.

leoniethelioness · 24/05/2016 06:43

I'm 22 weeks tomorrow and can only feel him sometimes. It still just feels like popcorn or bubbles - not real kicks or rolls. I'm another one in the placenta in the way club. If you're worried you should contact your midwife, pink.

PotatosMum · 24/05/2016 06:49

Morning ladies, how are you?

I've woken up with a bad back... There's just no end to how uncomfortable this pregnancy thing is Hmm

Miley fantastic dog lol

Pink how many weeks are you? I don't think you're supposed to worry until third trimester but if the change is dramatic and has been going on for a couple of days it wouldn't hurt to call the midwife.
Potato's really active and I can feel her every movement now but she does sometimes have sleepy days. Can you feel your baby stretching and rolling yet or just kicks/pokes?

Just wanted to say hi! I'm still around but haven't been on the thread for weeks because it moves a bit fast for me and my sicky, addled, pregnant brain lol.

Had my scan last week and moved due date to 20th November. Now 14+2 and feeling like I'm starting to get my life back a little after pretty awful morning sickness. How is everyone?? I will try to keep it with posts now!

BunchOfBobs · 24/05/2016 07:27

Pink there's no harm in calling the midwife. But don't be disheartened if they tell you it's too early to monitor. I had a scare at 22 weeks and the midwife checked with the Doppler.
Try the cold drink and lay on your left side test Pink.
Please everyone though if you are concerned with movements from 26 weeks do not wait until morning or see how things are later. It's always best to be safe than sorry.

PotatosMum · 24/05/2016 07:52

Morning

Pink - yes - the past few days mine hasn't moved much either, I'm the same as you 26 weeks. I'd give the midwife a ring - i told myself if she didn't pick up id ring too, but she has.

X

Pinklily1 · 24/05/2016 08:28

Morning ladies

I headed to bed not long after I posted about movement and baby started doing the Hokey Cokey, so all is ok! I'd had a busy few days so think maybe she had been a bit tired.

I'm 26 weeks today and baby is the size of a bowling pin Smile Feels like a real milestone to hit 6 months (and a bit scary!). This is bump this morning...

Hi Jam, really sorry to hear you've been suffering. Is it getting any better now? I think most of us who were sick started seeing some improvement from your point onwards.

Shelb, I weighed myself this morning. I had put on a bit just before I got pregnant (I blame the run up to Christmas!), then lost some with morning sickness. I'm currently 6lbs heavier than I was at my booking in appointment, but if I include what I lost and then put back on through morning sickness, I've put on a total of 18lbs by 26 weeks which seems pretty average.

What did the midwife say when you spoke to her Shelb?

Pinklily1 · 24/05/2016 08:29

Sorry Shelb< I've just re-read your post and see you didn't need to phone the midwife in the end.

Mileymoocow · 24/05/2016 10:35

Hi jam! Sorry you suffered sickness but nice to hear it's getting better! Grin

pink your little bump is so lovely. I feel huge now, almost 21 weeks and really 'filled out'!

My team leader has just told me she's 15 weeks pregnant and I'm so chuffed. We are now both confined to the office so it's been baby talk all morning.

How is everyone doing? Been bulk buying swaddle blankets in pretty patterns so expecting a few parcels over the next few days.

Mileymoocow · 24/05/2016 10:38

Here is 20+3 bump. Wish I was as petite as some of you ladies. Think I'll be one of the unlucky Mr blobby types by the end 😂

LillianFullStop · 24/05/2016 10:52

pink and miley those are some lovely bumps! I'm looking forward to being as bumplicious as you all soon Smile there are days my bump is bigger (I think when Bee moves to the front) and some smaller when she's hiding somewhere down my pelvis. Soon she'll be too big to be anywhere than out front!

shelb and pink glad your bubs have decided to resume the kicking to reassure you - must have been just a case of Monday-itis!

Sorry about the back pains Potato hope it eases up throughout the day!

Anyone have any advice on organising hospital tours? Do you arrange with the hospital directly or does the midwife need to refer you? I'd like to see both the labour ward, birth centre and private wing options of my current hospital. And also take a look at another nearby hospital with the option of moving NHS trusts (I hope that's easy to do!)

Mileymoocow · 24/05/2016 11:06

Thanks lillian! It sprouted from nowhere, genuinely felt like it appeared overnight.

Ok I need a little help. This weekend I have a 1st birthday to buy for (little boy) a 4th birthday (also little boy) and a baby shower (having a little girl in July). I can't think of what to buy!!!

Danni89 · 24/05/2016 11:42

Lovely bumps miley and pink.

I know I would be very grateful for gift cards at my babyshower miley.... Not sure about the lil ones though Confused
