Thread #6 - TTC#1 Grads - Sun roasted pregnant ladies

Summers here and bumps are busy growing. Scans photos are coming thick and fast and team pink and blue are rampining up their numbers.

We have new grads furiously POAS, second trimesters eager for their bumps and veterans about to embark on trimester 3 and contemplating baby size with mild terror apprehension.

The weathers to hot for comfort and our pregnancy aches, pains and symptoms are getting on our tits literally in some cases !!

All are welcome to TTC#1 grads thread #6

Oops! I've done it again. I posted on a AIBU and have been given a bashing... To be fair I did call someone a fuckwit but it was a thread where lots of fancy rat owners were posting about what lovely pets they make and someone came on just to say "the only good rat is a dead rat" which whether he felt that way or not I thought was uncalled for... Hence why I called him an attention seeking fuckwit. I'm a bad, bad person he deserved it
Must remember not to post on AIBU ever! There be crazies there Shock

Shelb I think the problem is the further into your pregnancy you get the more uncomfortable it will be to lay on your back due to the baby resting on nerves and blood vessels.

Lillian congrats on team pink.

Lauren that's quite a haul.

Aw lillian! Congratulations on team pink!! 💗💗 I'm swayed towards team blue for me. OH reckons girl as does everyone else except my mum. No preference here, though.

LisaTheGreek · 14/05/2016 20:09

Congrats Lillian, that's lovely news! x x x

Feefeefs · 14/05/2016 20:18

Thanks lillian I'm feeling so much happier. Delighted for you getting your scan today! Your dream must have been female intuition!

Although I can't start believing dreams as my dream last night was that I had a dog in there!

Ni4444 · 14/05/2016 20:31

Aw massive Congrats Lillian!! I'd love to be team pink!! But I think I won't be, so just going to plan to expect a boy!

Feefs a dog?! Ahahaha these dreams!!!

Laurenrl · 14/05/2016 20:37

Eurovision Is not the same with non alcoholic wine....

Mileymoocow · 14/05/2016 20:42

lauren I've just said the exact same thing. I now understand why I'm usually drunk for it.

As for dreams, I had one last night that I set a dementor on a girl because she hit my dog so she tried to scoop my baby out of my vagina with the handle of a toothbrush. Mine are completely weird at the moment.

Pinklily1 · 14/05/2016 21:23

Congratulations Lilian!! For some reason Miley I think you'll be Team Pink as well when baby makes an appearance, although the I know you are resolutely Team Vanilla for now!

I'm sat watching Eurovision with some Ben and Jerry's Smile It's utter rubbish really but I watch it every year.

Shelb, I never used to sleep on my back but find it the most comfortable at the minute. I always go to sleep on my side with my pregnancy pillow but quite often wake in the night on my back. I think it's advised against because as baby etc gets bigger, it can press down and restrict blood flow to you and baby. However, I read that if that was happening, mum would always wake up feeling unwell well in advance of it causing any harm to baby.

IrregularCommentary · 14/05/2016 21:24

Another one realising why I usually drink whilst watching Eurovision!

Feefeefs · 14/05/2016 21:35

I love the Eurovision but I am missing the prosecco! That dream is hilarious miley! Terrifying but funny!

Sodasoda · 14/05/2016 22:15

feefs - I was the same. 32/33 day cycles and didn't ovulate til around CD18-20 so I was over a week behind my LMP too.

Congrats lillian!

There's not very many of us staying team vanilla! Stay strong miley! Wink

I'm hoping my new pillow will help me to stay on my side. I've been rolling on my back and snoring 'like a beast' according to DH. Charming.

Tell me more about this non alcoholic wine please! I tried some and it tasted horrid! So if anyone has found something that tastes remotely like wine please let me know!

Laurenrl · 14/05/2016 22:58

I get the own brand from sainsburys, it tastes a lot sweeter than wine but not horrible, the rose is the best.

LillianFullStop · 14/05/2016 23:55

Thanks everyone we're so excited! Still holding off on the shopping until after 20w!

miley that dream is scary!!

Is it weird that I've never watched Eurovision?

Oh no Potato AIBU board seems scarier than miley's dementor dream! What exactly is a fancy rat?

BunchOfBobs · 15/05/2016 07:03

Morning all.

I never got to watch Eurovision boohiss.

Potato why? You swore you would never leave the confines of this thread again Wink
Congrats Lillian.

So far so good with all the nephews. I'm laid here in bed in shock they haven't come to get me up as that's usually their favourite thing to do. Being pregnant definitely has its bonuses.

Sleeping in a loft conversion however is very hot!!

PotatosMum · 15/05/2016 07:29

Bunch, Lillian I know, I know, I should know better than to post on AIBU for any reason. I just saw red as I used to rehabilitate rescue ratties who had been mistreated.
Fancy rats are a domesticated version of common rats. They're very clean, affectionate and clever to a point that is comparable to dogs. The photo is my first pair of rescue boys.

Bunch glad you're having a good but warm time Smile

Lillian I've never watched Eurovision all the way through either.

I think all the talk of dreams has corrupted me. Last night I dreamt I was in the walking dead Confused didn't last long!

Morning ladies

Seems to be a strange night for dreams - OH just had to wake me up almost screaming from a nightmare!

Can't remember if I said congrats Lillian - congrats, team pink!

X

twinkydink · 15/05/2016 08:15

Morning ladies am making my way over from the TTC thread! I've been on there since January but I'm guessing a lot of you had already joined the grads board by then!

I'm 5+2 with baby number 1, I have my first doctors appointment in a week and a half and we will be telling our parents then! Main symptons are extremely tender boobs and very tired. I keep thinking I'm feeling waves of nausea but I think it might be psychosomatic!

I'm pretty sure friends are already guessing because I have had a wedding and a 3oth party in the last two weeks and I'm always usually drinking! Plus I have two hen dos for the next weekend with the same group of girls so it's going to be really obvious! Oh well I know they won't say anything!!

Looking forward to hearing about all of your journeys!

Planeteer · 15/05/2016 08:21

Morning all

Reckon I had about 4 hours sleep last night. Urgh! Waiting up for the Eurovision results now seems like a foolish move!

Congrats on team pink Lillian! We've got enough girlies here to start a pretty cool girlband now!

Canters, lovely scan pic. I'm guessing you're cooking a little boy in there Smile.

Argh Potato, sorry you got flamed! I'm often tempted to post on AIBU... Some of the opinions fill me with rage... But I always bottle it as it's proper scary!

Am starting to get v impatient for my scan now. It's not til 21+4 which still feels aaaages away. DH still not persuaded re private gender scan so will have to be patient. Want toooo knooooow!!!

Planeteer · 15/05/2016 08:22

Oh! And welcome twink! Lovely to see you over here.

BunchOfBobs · 15/05/2016 08:48

Oh Potato they're so cute!!

Congrats and welcome twinky!

IndiX · 15/05/2016 09:03

Congrats twink! Xx

Pinklily1 · 15/05/2016 09:18

Congratulations Twink and welcome to the thread!

Planet, how far away is 21+4 for you? I can't remember what you are now (sorry)?

I'm regretting staying up for Eurovision last night. I'm now shattered Confused

Feefeefs · 15/05/2016 09:25

I didn't manage to make it the whole way through Eurovision! Saw all the song but not the results was shattered! I think we're going to tell our parents today Smile

Planeteer · 15/05/2016 09:52

Pink I've just looked at my diary and scan is actually 21+6. Sleepy brain making me stupid this morning! Am 18+1 today. Not having my 16 week MW appointment until 19+4 so think everything's just shunted backwards a little bit.

Mileymoocow · 15/05/2016 10:09

Morning ladies and welcome twink! Congratulations Grin Flowers

Another beautiful morning here so I'm sitting outside with my cup of tea before I get ready to meet the girls for lunch. Weighed myself this morning and I've put 9lb on so I'm now the weight I was when I fell pregnant! I'm actually relieved to see the number go up, I've been so worried my sickness has hindered growth.

Maybe tmi... my hair growth (legs and lady garden) has slowed down rapidly! I could barely keep it trimmed without doing it every other day a few weeks ago! Haven't shaved for a week and there's only minimal stubble which is quite bizarre for me being dark haired
