Thread #6 - TTC#1 Grads - Sun roasted pregnant ladies

Summers here and bumps are busy growing. Scans photos are coming thick and fast and team pink and blue are rampining up their numbers.

We have new grads furiously POAS, second trimesters eager for their bumps and veterans about to embark on trimester 3 and contemplating baby size with mild terror apprehension.

The weathers to hot for comfort and our pregnancy aches, pains and symptoms are getting on our tits literally in some cases !!

Good morning ladies,
I haven't had a chance to come on here due to me seeing family, friends and generally just enjoying being home in liiverpool.
How are you all? Any more for team pink or blue? I will try and catch up but looks like you have all been chatting lots.

I'm 18+3 now and Beanie is definitely moving around a lot more, when I get in bed I poke around a bit and sometimes she kicks back. My mum even felt her do a soft little kick the other day which was lovely, I haven't seen DH this week so I'm looking forward to him feeling some little kicks when I see him.

Just done a spin class, going to get my eyebrows done and then sunbathe in the garden. Hope you all have a happy Saturday whatever you get up to X

Glad you're having such a good non sickness day Miley - well overdue!

NCT nearly new sale was great. Musical and vibratey bouncer, musical interactive play mat and a Baby Bjorn. All look pretty much new and were so cheap! It's an absolute scrum though if you don't get early members entry - we were driving out of the car park within 6 mins of the doors officially opening!

Still feeling really smiley and happy after finding out we're having a little girl yesterday, and the sun's out as well. Perfect start to the weekend

I had my scan yesterday, am 2 days ahead of where thought so 13 weeks today and now due on 19th nov. I reckon it's a little dude, theres a blobby bit on the scan that has made everyone look at it ask if it's a winkle! Booked a private gender scan for in 3 weeks...

Canters are you going to put up your scan? I went a bit crazy looking at nub theories before my gender scan but now I think I'm a bit of an expert haha

Only problem is the cravings are a little dodgy. I bought a jar of Branston pickle and am finding myself digging in with a spoon every now and then. I have gone through a lot of pickled onions too...delightful. I'm guessing the theme is tangy because I'm all about oranges, lemons and limes too! Plus I've never likes sour sweets but can't get enough of tangfastics...

Scan on Wednesday, so excited to see little beanie baby! ❤ who's next for the great gender reveal? I'm disappointing you all by staying firmly vanilla

Canters yeah I'm saying maybe a little boy but the nub is further down I think but it's not that clear on that pic. I don't know what that little winkie thing is maybe a bit of the cord that has shown up?
Good luck for you scan on Wednesday miley, is that your 20w one? I can't believe how quickly it has come round. I have to get a private 20 week at 21weeks as I'm in Liverpool and by the time at back at my hospital in Scotland it'll be 25weeks. I'm so excited to see my Beanie again and I only saw her a couple of weeks ago

So pleased with your news feef - are you measuring right for your dates now or were you a bit behind from where you thought? I sometimes think early 'reassurance' scans can have the opposite effect!

I'm having a nice day pottering around. DH is out playing golf with friends so I'm just doing a few chores and then popping to John Lewis to pick up my pregnancy pillow I ordered (looking forward to trying it tonight!) and I may be tempted by a couple of baby bits....

Yeah it is, I'll be 19+4 so a little earlier than some! I had to wait until 13+5 for my 12 week though. It's going quick but feels like forever since our last scan!! Our neighbours have just brought home the most beautiful baby girl last and oh my god I just want to be a mummy now! I think they will ban me from their house soon. She had to have a c section so I'm popping round ever now and then t see if she wants a hand with anything to cuddle her baby as her husband is useless didn't take any leave.

Danni for pregnancy yoga, how gentle is it? Just wondering if you'd get away with eg leggings and a long T shirt, or would it ride up? I haven't invested in any pregnancy active wear but really want to go!

Thanks everyone! That's exactly what me and DH said soda we wouldn't do the early "reassurance" scan again! She said I am measuring 9+3 and due date 14th December but she said the 12 week one is much better at dating so to go by that, I'm 10+4 based on LMP but she said that's useless if your cycles are anywhere outside the normal and again you can ovulate late. My cycles are 32 days and I think I ovulated on day 18 so makes a lot of sense.

Miley so glad you're feeling better. You deserve it!

Bunch good luck with the nephews don't envy you at all lol

Nev enjoy the baby shopping I'm a little disappointed that I've now got just about everything on my list apart from the practical stuff like nappies. I want to buy cute silly baby stuff!

I've decided that Potato really likes music. She starts kicking every time OH starts practicing and will kick along with music in the car. So far OH plays guitar, DSS plays drums and I'm learning piano very slowly... DSD isn't really fussed about learning an instrument she's more interested in gymnastics, but I think DD will be another musician

Is anyone else stressed out by the whole 'you can't lie flat on your back' thing? When I lie down the baby moves more so I like doing it. Is it ok if you back is just slightly elevated do you know?

Thanks for the guesses, it's all good fun! We've got a gender scan booked in three weeks so not long at all to wait. Been looking at baby stuff this weekend and I just want to buy everything, someone restrain me!

Oh I'm so happy to hear that feef!! You must be overjoyed and relieved! You're like me my dates a week off by LMP dates because of longer cycle.

Shelb I worry too - even when I start on my side in find myself rolling back. Worse when I'm restless I sleep on my front it helps me fall asleep but obviously there's none of that for a while!

So I'm only 16+6 and my NHS anomaly scan isn't for 4 weeks but I'd been priming DH to get a private one to know sooner and finally he succummed and said "well if you want one sooner don't get it the week before our hospital scan lets get one today!" Well I wasn't going to let that one go so I booked one for within the hour and we are Team Pink due 23-Oct! I'd dreamt it was a girl at 8 weeks but it was good to know for sure. Little one was so active and wriggly in there and kept covering her face with her hands - a little camera shy maybe! We saw a little yawn too :) it's no wonder I've started feeling more twitches lately - she's grown a lot since my NT scan - legs are a lot longer and she's getting more snug in there.

Lillian that's lovely news, congrats on a girl! Another one for team pink..there definitely should be some blue ones soon??

I've been in the garden all afternoon, which was lovely but now I'm pretty pink I have quite olive skin so thought I'd be fine..guess it's true that preggo skin is more sensitive!

Lillian and shelb I sleep however I feel comfy. Usually start on my front and end up on my back or my side. Is it really that bad? I just kind of thought you should sleep however you can get comfy but the side is better...

Look at all my free loot from the baby show! I'd highly recommend it, we all had a lovely time and people can tell I'm pregnant now so I got a lot of fuss :)
