sloth I am not sure about baby size vs position but good you have a scan coming up for peace of mind. What was your bump last measuring? Yes I have had some pelvic pain, have a look at my last post for some tips on how I have been relieving / trying to manage it. Hope it helps for you too!

Thats a nice reminder that not everyone knows what they are having!
In our NCT class of 9 couples we were the only ones who chose not to find out.

FourForYouGlenCoco · 01/06/2016 13:21

Welcome new peeps!
Erica glad all is semi-ok and baby is in no danger of appearing imminently. The plug can re-form so fingers crossed that's what happens with you!
Sloth you're definitely not alone with the pelvic pain, quite a few of us in the pain boat sadly! Good luck with your growth scan, is it your first baby? Might just be that you have very efficient stomach muscles holding everything in!
Christine BV maybe? Hope the GP can shed some light and sort you out!

Been AWOL for a bit here too, sorry; turns out moving house takes a fair bit of energy! Who knew?!
Still got a load of cleaning to do but we're a week in and the new house is at least liveable now. It's slowly getting under control, just in time really as I'm seriously running out of energy! 31+5 today and would LOVE to be able to slow down a bit and take it easy, but it's not possible just yet. I did sort through all of DD's baby clothes the other day to see what can be re-used for this baby, which brought back lots of lovely memories and sparked a bit of excitement for this little one to arrive!

plimsolls · 01/06/2016 13:49

longtime peanuts and alfie thank you! I got some liquid spatone from the supermarket on my way to work so fingers crossed that gets to work quickly.

glencoco glad that the house is becoming more liveable. I'm not surprised you're knackered- I don't envy you all that cleaning and sorting out!

Welcome to all newcomers!

Slothlikesundays · 01/06/2016 14:26

I'm hoping I have exceptional stomach muscles! Yes it's my first. Measured 26cm at 29 weeks.
Managed to get private physio for Monday so feeling a lot less sorry for myself now!
Wish my house was getting sorted! Lots to do and making loads of lists!

peardrop2 · 01/06/2016 14:44

Does anyone know if there is a cut off point to be tested for diabetes in pregnancy? I've made an appointment for when I'm 29 weeks because I can't make the apt slot next week. I'm wondering if this is too late Confused

bearhuggy · 01/06/2016 14:54

sloth I wouldn't worry about that measurement. Remember they are only averages and things change daily...I would look at the scan as an extra chance to see your babe!! Glad you got some physio booked in and hope it helps.

Hi coco :) nice to hear you are settling into the new place, moving is always such a stress isn't it. Looks like our chain has fallen through today which is such a shame, I am honestly sick of the whole thing now and trying to not let it upset me or the baby. It's only a house !!

Dileas29 · 01/06/2016 15:08

plimsole I feel for you! Hope you get some Relief soon!, alfie I have that same feeling and it's really horrid! First thing in the morning I find the worst, almost feel a dizzy and hot with it too. I have been on the iron tablets prescribed 3x daily for over a fortnight now and almost feel it's worse! Wonder if it's good to get a blood test to see if I need stronger script?!

bearhuggy · 01/06/2016 15:40

Question...anyone know where to buy those interlocking foam mats for baby to lie on? Have found some online but not sure which are baby safe / non-toxic?? Ideally would like to buy something made from recycled material if possible....

AlfieTheRailwayCat · 01/06/2016 16:27

plimsolls I have just read my post back from this morning and I'm sorry it's so badly written! Clearly I was not quite awake. Blush

lilygirl81 · 01/06/2016 16:57

Pear as far as I'm aware there is no cut off as they check if there are any symptoms which can develop late on.

OwlinaTree · 01/06/2016 17:50

I was tested at 37ish weeks last pg! I'd had the baby by the time I had the results!!

Christinedonna · 01/06/2016 17:59

Was having a really nice day with OH, went to b&q and got paint for our room, nandos for lunch then the shop for ice cream (where he works) walking past the tills and this blonde girl practically jumps out of her seat with the biggest smile on her face and waves at OH, then sees me, drops her hand and turns around like "oh shit". I asked him about it and he doesn't know what I'm talking about apparently. So we came home, haven't eaten our ice cream and are sat on seperate sofas while I try not to cry

MrsSantaClause · 01/06/2016 18:07

Sloth, I'm really suffering with pelvic pain really badly, it flared up over the weekend after a light stroll to the pub. I've been in agony ever since, feels like it's going to snap in two. I have to take really tiny geisha like steps. Went to Drs who prescribed co codomol but am only allowed to take 1 dose per day. So I try and get through til lunchtime. There was no mention of any physio or anything so I expect it's too late for me, by the time I'd get the referral through I'd probably already have had the baby. Just trying to take in easy and not do too much. Got to try and do the grocery shop tomorrow though, that will be fun. At least I can make ds (14) come and help me as its half term. Go to your Drs if it's unbearable.

Slothlikesundays · 01/06/2016 19:11

Mrs Santaclaus - that's exactly what I'm like at the moment! Been to doctors and been referred for nhs physio but can't wait too long to get started as I'm off work (as a nurse) and 1. It's driving me mad and 2. I'm desperate to try anything to get moving again! Hope yours eases up soon.

Slothlikesundays · 01/06/2016 19:14

And Christine has he said anything since? Hope you're ok and he's been more apologetic since

AlfieTheRailwayCat · 01/06/2016 19:21

dileas it's not nice is it. I'm on this liquid one, about a week and a bit so far. Hoping it helps my tiredness soon too!
DH is away as well which always makes me feel worse too.

Christinedonna · 01/06/2016 19:38

sloth yeah he's been overly nice! Making me tea, asking if I want ice cream, asking if I need help with dinner, asking for a cuddle, trying to kiss me..which only pisses me off more because it just looks as though he has a guilty conscience

OwlinaTree · 01/06/2016 21:10

Hummmm I wouldn't be impressed with that Christine. Hope you get it sorted out.

Biscuitswithtea · 01/06/2016 21:29

Sloth can you access physio through your work? (Occ Health perhaps?) It might be quicker...I've done that and she was great. I need to go back but that's nowt to do with the care I received, just the state of my pelvis & back!

Christine hope you can have a sensible discussion with your DH pronto and put your mind at rest. There's nothing worse than imagination running away with itself...

Christinedonna · 01/06/2016 21:30

Little things he does make me so paranoid. I know he would NEVER have time to do anything he shouldn't, but it's just the thought of him flirting with a girl and her thinking somethings going to happen. He puts his phone on airplane mode while it's on charge at night, takes it to the toilet with him (and everywhere he goes). He sent me a picture on snapchat the other day of him and the dog from the other side of the room and saw that I was quite a way down on the list (the person you send the most to is the highest on the list) and we are always snap chatting so I don't see how anyone could be any higher than me.

Slothlikesundays · 01/06/2016 21:55

Biscuits - what a good idea! Can't believe I didn't think of that Blush I'll ask in the morning.
Christine - maybe you need to tell him this and say you need extra support and reassurance at the moment and his behaviour is not making you feel as secure as you need to.... Or snoop through his phone

Christinedonna · 01/06/2016 22:03

I've had that chat with him, it goes in one ear and out the other. And believe me id be in his phone if it wasn't for this whole finger print unlocking lark

LotsofDots · 01/06/2016 22:37

Have a look in your maternity notes too, those of you with pelvis pain. In our area there is direct access to the maternity physios - number is listed on a page with things like mat assessment unit and community midwives tel numbers etc., I called and left a message on a Wednesday, they phoned me back on the next day and I was seen at a group class for pelvic pain on the Tuesday (and it was a BH weekend) I have found their advice very good and have had no worsening of my pain in the last month, in fact it is probably better. They also said that after attending a group class to ring if I needed any more assistance and they would arrange a 1:1 session.

LotsofDots · 01/06/2016 22:39

Christine she sounds like an idiot, and he went to B&Q with you. Man has no greater love than to traipse round B&Q with a pregnant woman. Except maybe to go to IKEA for her on a Sunday afternoon.
