Yes my pelvic floor is not what it was. I blame emergency vetouse delivery but it's probably because I'm a bit crap at remembering to do the exercises. I only suffer when I'm pg though!

strandedabroad · 02/07/2016 13:30

Thanks Owlina. I think it's more discharge than bladder related, although I can't be sure! Nice!

OwlinaTree · 02/07/2016 13:44

It's a bit of both for me Blush

Belager · 02/07/2016 15:04

It's all going wrong over here! I started using tena about a month ago!
christine I hope the hospital sleepover helped greatly.
Dealing with one thing after another here. On crutches due to SPD which is making teaching hard to say the least! Also been flagged as maybe having pre eclampsia, so having to go to the hospital twice a week for monitoring.

On the plus side only 3 weeks of work left!

Are we done yet? Can't I just meet her now?

Daytona79 · 02/07/2016 15:32

I've woken today with crippling public bone pain. I can hardly walk. I've had SPD since 8 weeks but kept on top of it with weekly chiropractor sessions which has kept the pain at a bearable level but God knows what's happened over night but every step feels like my pubic bone is being snapped into two.

I had SPD from 12 weeks in first pregnacy too, not helped by a nasty pelvic injury the year before caused by being thrown from a horse.

Hoping I go to bed tonight and it disappears as quickly as it appeared today

On the TMI front re discharge, yes I'm the same stranded and going to buy pant liners next time I go to the shop as its pretty gross at the moment

I was also getting really bad cramp pains very lowdown yesterday , I was thinking crap am I going into labour but they disappeared after a few hours and thinking back I remember getting a lot of random pains towards the end of last time

Also get along to your local mothercare or go on line they have a massive sale on at the moment

Thank you for all your messages everyone. I got no sleep due to the interesting characters on the ward with me. Where do I start, I've had 4 bags of fluid, an anti sickness think squirted into my arm that was HORRIBLE and made me feel drunk so that's now been crossed off my chart and won't be going near me again! A few different kinds of tablets but I forget what they were even for now. We started at 4 ketones, went down to 3 then 1 at about 2 o'clock. So was REALLY hoping I could flush the last one out and get home but the midwife has just come in to tell me we're back up to 2! So the OH has just gone to the shop to get food and I'm gunna try and get out tonight! The doctor is expected round any time soon so hopefully I can get it done quickly. Will definitely be asking for some anti sickness tablets to take home with me though just in case. P.s, there are women screaming and pushing babies out right around the corner from my ward!

I haven't really posted on here since early pregnancy, just need a bit of advice, I'm 33 weeks today and this morning whilst I was at the dentist I fainted ( embarrassingly whilst in the middle of treatment and in front of a very good looking trainee dentist) when I came to I had pains in my pelvis and lower backache. These eased after about 5 minutes once I had cooled down and had been given sugar and lots of water. I'm near enough feeling back to normal now apart from a bit of a headache, and baby is active as ever! do you think I should go get checked out. The dentist said to go to a&e if I passed out again today.

Sophia1984 · 02/07/2016 21:37

I'm so glad you're being looked after Christine. Do they know what could be causing it?

alex I almost fainted on the bus a at 32 weeks pregnant. I called my midwife and she said it was probably low blood pressure. As you actually passed out, I think you should maybe call just to let them know. It's very common at this stage of pregnancy, but always worth getting checked.

Daytona My SPD is coming and going too. Sometimes it is horrendous and I'm hobbling everywhere and sometimes it pretty much disappears. I had cramps all day yesterday too and then none today!

Has anyone noticed really rhythmic movements of their belly? They aren't hiccups - they're gentler than that, like a pulse or breathing? Haven't felt/seen them before today..

Daytona79 · 02/07/2016 22:01

I would ring your midwife just to check Alex

Oh well just out of A&E my toddler has been ill since Thursday, turns out he has scarlet fever

Poor wee toots and it means night number 3 for me of zero sleep as he has pretty much been crying all night long with a raging temp

Why is nothing ever easy for me 🙈

Moan moan Confused

Biscuitswithtea · 02/07/2016 22:50

Alex it would be worth mentioning to your midwife, since you actually fainted. I had the dentist on Fri am and just about avoided keeling over afterwards, being in the chair and then getting out again after and I hadn't had breakfast yet did me no favours.

Glad you got good help Christine, and hopefully you're home now. Hospitals are terrible places to sleep!

Am resisting the urge to climb into bed next to ds. The daughter of a friend of a friend is suddenly seriously ill and all I want to do is count my blessings and hug ds close :(

Shanster · 03/07/2016 00:45

Oh dear, seems everyone is having a really tough time! Hope you all feel better/children feel better soon. I should feel fortunate but I keep finding myself just in a foul mood. I'm shouting at my kids, worrying about work stuff and generally just feeling a bit down. Some women cry a lot in pregnancy, I just get grouchy.

Dileas29 · 03/07/2016 21:09

I hope you are better today christine?

Thanks for all the nice words earlier in the week. My husband is now getting the holiday after all that upset! Maybe something I said got to him or his management realised something was not right! Was due to finish work at 38 weeks and then asked to cut short to 37 but now thinking maybe should hold off if I can now that DH is off to help at home?! Will take it week by week.

Is anyone experiencing what they call "lightening"? All my apps say 36 weeks you experience heavy and pushing sensation down below. Very bizarre like baby moving around down there. Makes it seem real, wondering what the next stages are!
35+2

Christinedonna · 03/07/2016 21:44

I'm a lot better thank you everyone! Got out about 10pm last night, had some food and went to bed and had a good nights sleep!! Just keeping on top of eating and drinking as it's very easy to slip back into the routine and habit of not eating. Went to the christening today where I became a godmother! And took full advantage of the food afterwards, now home and looking forward to what I hope will be another good nights sleep!
Thank you for all your well wishes everyone x

Longtimelistener · 03/07/2016 22:13

Fantastic news Christine ( and congrats on becoming a godmother Smile)

Shanster · 04/07/2016 00:30

Glad you feel better Christine, long may it continue!

Belager · 04/07/2016 06:10

Fantastic Christine! I hope you make the most of sleeping time!

Christinedonna · 04/07/2016 09:23

Today and yesterday though on and off I've had really strong period pains and back ache. Like sometimes it feels like period pains, other times like the stomach ache you get with diarrhoea (but haven't had it) any ideas what that is?

Sophia1984 · 04/07/2016 09:32

I've had exactly the same for the last week or so Christine. It's just our bodies preparing us for labour (which is a bit terrifying!) Unless you're getting regular contractions or bleeding or your water breaks, I think it's totally normal.

Laineypopps · 04/07/2016 10:17

Hey everyone,
Just new!! Hope everyone is well and babies are behaving! I'm pregnant with baby #2 due on 11th Aug. Time to stop lurking and join!!!

E.xxx

Christinedonna · 04/07/2016 10:22

sophia uh it's horrible! Feels like I'm mid period constantly just waiting for something to come out of me and not sure where from! Getting like hot flushes with it and feeling faint! Off for a dog walk so maybe the excercise will help!
Lainey same due date as me! Do you know what you're having?

Laineypopps · 04/07/2016 10:40

Lovely Christine! Nope, a wee surprise!! I have a wee boy at 5 so already know how awesome wee boys are, and if it's a girl then I will be delighted too! We had a surprise with our first so decided to follow suit.

Been hard though as we've had loads of extra scans! Do you know what you are having?

We are really struggling for names though. I am a depute head in a huge primary school so lots of names are 'off the table' for me!!!x

Christinedonna · 04/07/2016 11:29

Oh I know what you mean, when you know someone with a name they definitely come into play when choosing! We're having a girl

Fizzyboo · 04/07/2016 16:44

Glad you're feeling better christine!

I've got my first visit from the health visitor tomorrow, has anyone else had one yet?
I didn't much like the idea ages ago before I knew about babes heart etc, but now I can't wait to see her and really thrash out all the ways she can help me make sure she's doing the best she can possibly do, especially when I've been told to be on the look out for respiratory and feeding issues Confused as a first timer, I don't know what's normal feeding wise especially anyway!

Sophia1984 · 04/07/2016 17:18

Hi Fizzy I had mine come round at about 28 weeks. She was really lovely, and just gave me lots of leaflets and information and talked through what support I would get. I think she's actually going to be on holiday when baby arrives so I'll probably get a different person visiting, but never mind! I got in a right tizz tidying and making sure I had a pot of tea and biscuits - she didn't leave the living room and was one of those people who don't drink hot drinks!

Christinedonna · 04/07/2016 17:38

I've not had anyone come out to me? Should I expect that some time soon?
