Sorry wrong person reply iamdivergent and madrigal your replies are the wrong way around from me Hmm

MollieRos · 12/05/2016 14:11

Haha madrigal at least she's getting herself ready in there, though she won't be coming out quite the way she expected!

People have been telling me my bump has dropped for weeks and weeks... I think actually I've just carried low, otherwise he was getting himself ready very early indeed! I can't notice any difference at all.

MadrigalElectromotive · 12/05/2016 14:13

Ooh I'll have a look at my notes when I get home Julie. Perhaps it says in there.

Do you have space around your ribs Mollie? That's when I thought mine had dropped - suddenly I could breathe again but I needed a wee constantly! Swings and roundabouts I suppose! Grin

MollieRos · 12/05/2016 14:20

Madrigal I always have a bit of space around my ribs- my bump isn't very big! I haven't really had too much of a problem with being out of breath, though I've been peeing pretty much hourly for the past 8 1/2 months Grin

JulieBolton79 · 12/05/2016 14:36

This is my 34wk bump which I don't think is too big Hmm

JulieBolton79 · 12/05/2016 14:37

I figure when my boobs aren't resting on my bump anymore baby has dropped! Hmm

nehagarg · 12/05/2016 15:47

Second propess is in. Gas and Air was super brilliant. I was actually ignoring the midwife and DH had to repeat her instructions. Lol

Here is hoping this one works! If it doesnt, they'll let me go home for the weekend and then continue next week.

No clue julie he's been head down since 28wks though, he's just not engaged. I can only assume they mean he's right down but not engaged but I'm guessing. I can feel him grinding sometimes it's horrible and painful

JulieBolton79 · 12/05/2016 16:18

Aw iamdivergent that's a nice bump somewhere to rest your food Smile

JulieBolton79 · 12/05/2016 16:18

Fx for progress Nehagarg Smile

JulieBolton79 · 12/05/2016 16:25

Aw that sucks that it's painful iamdivergent I've had SPD since 14wks which is crap and sometimes very painful.
Looks like baby is like mine and heading in the right direction but happy to float about for a while.

strawberrypenguin · 12/05/2016 16:48

Hope things get moving for you nehagarg gas and air is awesome!

No idea if baby is engaged or not here. I have space round my ribs - little man was kicking me in them yesterday so he's not wedged in them! I've carried a lot lower all the way through this time though.

GrubbyWindows · 12/05/2016 18:30

That sound good neha! Either progress or the weekend off to... Err... Ripen?? And great news that your bloods look ok!

I think I've been carrying lower this time too, and I've noticed several quite sudden drops when my bump changed shape and position, starting about 24 weeks. I feel like the bottom of my bump is totally flat at the moment, I keep getting the bottom of it grubby when cooking!
I also feel like I've really popped this week- suddenly lots of strangers feel the need to ask when I'm due. Hmm.

Violet88 · 12/05/2016 18:57

Good luck Nehagarg!!

Midwife put in my notes at my last appointment on Tuesday that the head is 3/5ths engaged, though I'm sure it makes no difference to when he's coming. 36 weeks tomorrow, one more to go till officially full term!

Hope everyones enjoying the lovely weather! x

clarish84 · 12/05/2016 20:35

I'm so made up got my mosses basket out that I've used for all my babies and it's washed up lovely again . Not to everyone's taste but when I was a single mum at 16 this was the first thing I managed to save up and buy while I was pregnant I don't think it looks to bad for being 15 years old

MadrigalElectromotive · 12/05/2016 20:58

How nice that all of your babies will use the same Moses basket clarish. It must make you quite nostalgic having it out again!

Went to IKEA today and it was full of preggos. I did wonder if anyone else from the thread was in there! Anyway, we got the last few bits and bobs so I think we are officially Prepared for next week now. Smile

Torfhinn · 12/05/2016 21:26

That's beautiful clarish, love the history!

MollieRos · 12/05/2016 21:40

Iam oh the grinding... it's horrible! This little one is really having a good shuffle round down there this evening and it's getting quite painful.

nehagarg I have my fingers crossed for you. Really good that they'll let you go home over the weekend if things don't get moving.

clarish that's lovely that you can use your moses basket again- must be such a strange feeling thinking it was so long ago when you bought it!

Lovely bump pictures!

laughingGnomette · 12/05/2016 23:25

Madrigal - so exciting about next week! IKEA is definitely a magnet for preggos.

nehagarg - I hope you're doing ok x

clarish - aww, how lovely!

bikingintherain · 13/05/2016 04:38

I'm pretty sure the lady in the flat above us is in labour. She's overdue and was fed up when I saw earlier in the week. But now I've had a terrible night sleep as all. I hear is her pacing up down, I don't mind at all as I know in a few weeks it's going to me, but I also know I'm going to be knackered today!

Hope things are moving for you too nehagarg.

And clarish, lovely story with the Moses basket. It must be lovely to be using it again. I got mine out a week or two ago, but it has turned into the clean washing basket, need to crack that bad habit quickly!

LouLou030783 · 13/05/2016 06:11

Place marking totally lost touch with Themis thread the past while, can't believe we are on the final stretch although I'm the very end of June so still feels ages

ILovePies · 13/05/2016 06:36

Baby was 3/5 engaged yesterday at my app. Always really confuses me with the numbers as that sounds like it should be nearly fully engaged, but it's lower the number the closer to the sunlight the baby is Grin
nehagarg really hope all is going well. Fx for you and lots of Cake
Had growth scan yesterday baby measuring 7ib 5 Oz so that chart is really put for me julie haha!
I have to have another scan in 2 weeks, and if bubs is still big then we will be meeting baby at 39 weeks.
Feeling a bit deflated by it all. .. really wanted labour to start naturally. I have refused the drip so I can only have 1 gel & my waters broke then it'll be section :( trying to think positive and hope growth has slowed by next scan... but even the vbac midwife said she didn't think it was going to be a small baby!

emma85x · 13/05/2016 07:47

Hi everyone. I hope you're all well! Yesterday was a bad day. Saw MW as she weighed me, I've put on two stone exactly (35 weeks) but I was already overweight. She had a right go at me and started talking about all the complications associated with being overweight during labour. I completely lost it and cried for hours. Just awful. I have a thyroid problem and I've been doing slimming world since 25 weeks. I have tried so hard to watch what I eat. My entire pregnancy experience with the nhs has been just awful... Here's hoping for an improvement in empathy, consideration and kindness on the labour ward. (Sorry to moan) xxx

iamdivergent · 13/05/2016 07:53

That's crap emma how horrible of her Sad I was weighed at booking but nothing since
