January 2017 babies

I know there's already a thread up for early Jan babies but couldn't see one for the rest of Jan (probably as I'm jumping the gun a bit here!).

This is my first proper pregnancy and I'm a planner by nature so I need some kind of place to talk about this so I don't drive my DP mad!

Bit about me:
I'm 28
This is baby number one
EDD 6th Jan.

I have my first midwife appointment this afternoon. I should be 8+5 so hoping my 12 week scan gets booked in soon. After having one at 7 weeks I'm not feeling quite so impatient, but can't wait to see baby again!

Still off my food but managing to eat little bits here and there. The morning sickness has cooled off in the last few days and although I'm still nauseous, I haven't actually been sick again, so fingers crossed that keeps improving!

Anyone else already in maternity pants!? I had to buy a pair of jeans as mine are much too tight now! Got a definite rounded belly forming, and considering I've not eaten much recently, it can't be the food!

When did everyone get notified of their booking in appts? I am 8 weeks today and haven't heard anything yet but was told my booking in appt would be between 9/10 weeks. I am not under the Dr surgery for the midwife but under the hospital, does it make a difference on how much appt notice you get?

On a slightly weird side note ... is anyone else here a first timer AND has a dog?!

Me! And he's got a few 'ah god, you're a rescue, we couldn't possibly ask you to stop doing things that are a bit twittish but make you happy' habits we have to now help him along out of. To wit, greeting you with 2 paws to the gut, selective deafness & refusing dog food in favour of whatever you're eating. Plan so far is

1. Training classes over the next couple of months
2. Booking him into his dog minder for a week around my due date (28th Jan)
3. Moving house to somewhere with a bigger garden so we can give him more ad hoc exercise. At the moment we have to bring him out to a park near our house, which is grand, but might be a lot easier to throw balls for him/let him chase birds in the garden in the morning than do that when there's a baby attached to me.

So, I've made a start on the stats - if you like, I could try adding child number and maybe sex/secret at a later date.

Apologies to anybody I've; missed, got wrong, spelt wrong, especially if I've missed anybody who has had a loss since first posting. I tried to pick that all up. There are some gaps in due dates, so feel free to fill me in/correct the date as you have your dating scans and I'll try and keep up to speed with it. Also, if you gave a 'range' of dates, I picked the first of those. Right - now I'm off to bed!

Tonight I discovered the baby doesn't like pizza 😳😵🤒 And the person who named 'morning' sickness that, must have been a man as that is definitely not true!

My scan went well, dated around 10+5 but she said it's not as accurate this early. Back in two weeks (on DH's birthday!) as they couldn't do the full scan today because it's before 11 weeks. Had an amazing moment where she pushed down with the scan thingy (what's the technical name?) and we saw baby give a big kick back. Made it all seem very real!

Workinzzz - thats the same as in my region. I ended up getting 3 days notice so if that isnt going to be workable then I'd give them a call and just check you haven't fallen through the cracks!

10 weeks today and feeling nauseous and tired. We went for a private scan last week before telling my parents...all was good and healthy. Booking in appointment is Monday...it's good to be able to tell people! Bring on the 12week scan!!

I'm currently 10+1, had a private early scan which confirmed dates, had my booking in appt on tuesday and got my 12 week scan in 2 1/2 weeks when i should be 12+5.

My morning sickness has finally started to clear but im still exhausted and crying at the drop of a hat! Today i cried because i had to ring in sick to work! I've attached a picture of my little jelly bean! i was 8+6 when i had this scan done :)
