Not handling the worry well today.

Did a preg test this morning - the line was as dark as the control line. There is no need to panic.

Boobs only feel a bit sore, my tummy doesn't feel as hard or as stretchy as usual, and no nausea. At 4+3 this is totally normal, right?

Considering this will (fingers crossed) be my 3rd baby, you'd think I'd have more sense. But no.

nightcap · 26/04/2016 16:15

swancourt I know what you mean - it's number 3 for me too but I feel just as clueless as I did with the others!

I think it's quite normal to not have much in the way of symptoms in the early weeks - not to wish puking on anyone but hopefully you'll hit a bit of reassuring nausea soon just for your own peace of mind.

Mine's not very extreme (currently 6+3) but enough to just feel generally grim. Have figured out eating helps so I'm spending my days planning each snack while I'm eating the one before it. Have already gained 4lb, I'll be in maternity waistbands by next week if I keep going like this.

TipBoov · 26/04/2016 16:21

Sorry to hear your news rider and cho FlowersFlowers

Theaks · 26/04/2016 17:24

Feeling very emotional by others upsets and worries. Sending love cho and rider xxxx

I am absolutely starving all the time, I need to eat a snack every couple of hours. trying to have healthy snacks. Dare by weigh myself

barkingtreefrog · 26/04/2016 17:31

theaks I'm the same. I seem to be eating All. The. Time. But what is usually to hand isn't the healthy stuff!
Any tips for healthy snacks that keep the nausea and hunger at bay just as well as crisps and biscuits?! Hmm

rider1975 · 26/04/2016 17:45

Hi Barking - dried fruit and nuts are great and very nutritious

Theaks · 26/04/2016 18:04

That's exactly what I was going to say. I try to be prepared with fruit. Had a bit of soreen today, thought that stuff was supposed to keep you going

SpaceDinosaur · 26/04/2016 18:19

Cho and Rider my heart goes out to you both. I feel very emotional for you both my loves. Please be gentle with yourselves

xxx

Mejse · 26/04/2016 18:25

So sorry rider thinking of you and cho Flowers

I have slept most of the day and I am feeling a bit less like a zombie now. I am going to have to try the dried fruit and nuts, I have been trying to work out what I can bring with me as emergency snacks, thanks for the idea.

becciandbump · 26/04/2016 18:26

cnchapman yes I'm planning for the RVi there is no theatre at hexham so if you start birthing there and need a c section its a blue light 12 mile trip to rvi and I don't fancy the stress xx

NurseRosie · 26/04/2016 18:43

Aww so sorry Rider.
I can't keep track of you girls.
I have my first midwife app tomo, the booking in one? What should I expect girls? Will they examine me etc? I'm a bit nervous x

underrugsswept · 26/04/2016 18:51

It's s couple of years since I had a booking appointment but it was very easy. I had to answer some questions about my mood and my relationship with DH (they look out for DV), fill in an alcohol questionnaire, give a blood sample and be weighed. Nothing to be nervous about, honest.

SouthDownsSunshine · 26/04/2016 19:15

I've got my booking in appointment tomorrow as well. It takes ages, but all very mundane, most of the last one was getting the computer to work!

They'll take bloods and test your wee. And lots of questions to answer.

excitedmummytob · 26/04/2016 20:22

Thoughts about partners attending booking in appointments???

Rosa89 · 26/04/2016 20:24

Hi everyone just caught up Flowers to all those who have sad news.
I'm 7+6 and have seen brown spotting in my underwear. I want to not be worried but this was exactly how my MC started last time. I'm going to see how tmrw goes then go to the epu on Thursday regardless as I'm not at work and they're really good. I just feel like I can't see the outcome being good Sad

SouthDownsSunshine · 26/04/2016 20:41

excited they like info from your partner, but they're not essential.

Rosa sorry about the spotting, but try not to worry. I've had heavy bleeding this pregnancy and baby still going strong x

Bigfam · 26/04/2016 20:44

Sorry to hear your news rider, and will be thinking of you, and cho, in the next week or so Flowers

becciandbump · 26/04/2016 20:54

Just booked my early scan for a week on Sunday. Nervous but excited to know. Praying for a good result x

cnchapmanxx · 26/04/2016 21:08

Becciandbump - aw I didn't realise that! I thought Hexham was quite a way from the RVI! I think il be going to Sunderland Royal! How far gone are you?

How is everyone today? So sorry Thanksrider xxx

My sciatica is really flaring up todsy quite worried as I Only ever get this when I'm due AF maybe a week before I'm just being silly but I sit down at work all day!

Also cm??? Is it meant to be this dry I've had nothing since my BFP! Is anyone else like this? Xxx

becciandbump · 26/04/2016 21:17

Actually it's prob more like 20 miles I was getting muddled up with the distance from our house. I'm 6+3 x

SpaceDinosaur · 26/04/2016 23:25

Has anyone else had friends ask them outright already?
I'm 4+4 ffs
DH and I have known for literally a week and in that week we have been out with friends 3 times. Apparently my not drinking when everyone else is, is so unusual that one of my besties asked me if I had something to tell her and two others have me the "knowing" look and offered me a tonic water.

How the fuck am I supposed to keep them off the scent for 8 more weeks, 1 week in and I feel like we've been rumbled and I really really don't want to tell people early. This is my first pregnancy. All my living female relatives lost pregnancies in early stages and I am trying to be pragmatic.

Helbelle75 · 26/04/2016 23:37

Yep, SpaceDinosaur, as soon as I wasn't drinking at a social occasion I got the look from 2 friends - didn't even know I was definitely pregnant then - was just late! And asked 3 times last weekend did I have something to tell them as I was driving.
I'm also usually really full of energy and have loads of hobbies that I never miss. I've been way too tired to go for the last few weeks so I know people have suspicions. It's hard isn't it?!

barkingtreefrog · 27/04/2016 06:08

space I've had friends ask outright but then they knew about the ivf. Me not drinking is sadly normal now, as I stopped as soon as we started TTC, so no one even bats an eyelid anymore. Apart from after each miscarriage when I gave myself a break, it's been years since I've been a regular drinker! Perhaps tell them you're cutting down on alcohol as you're TTC rather than pg? As in, you're only drinking one night a week or something? (And it just so happens to never be the night you're with them!)

PlumpAndPlain · 27/04/2016 06:36

Flowers to those with sad news.

Is anyone doing slimming world and going to carry on? I've lost over 4 stone in the last year and I'm terrified of putting it back on and having to start again! I'm going to keep going to keep an eye on weight gain.

romoca · 27/04/2016 06:38

Hi all can I join? I'm currently 7 weeks due around the 12th December (2 days before my 40th!!) this pregnancy was a bit of a shock as I took the map!! This will be my 4th eck!!! Xx
