Yay barkingtree so happy for you!!

Thank you southdowns it really helps hearing everyone's similar stories. Very reassuring :)

Theaks · 29/04/2016 18:03

Lovely picture barking! Very clear.

Tiny I had some brown spotting on Wednesday, like you very worried but I had a scan and everything was okay. Doesn't stop us worrying though does it.

So glad for this bank holiday weekend. 3 days of hopefully doing very little Smile

Bigfam · 29/04/2016 18:05

Fab news barking, what a lovely scan too.

Tinysalmon glad you're feeling reassured, sometimes you can't help but worry x

Theaks · 29/04/2016 18:08

I didn't seem as hungry today- also getting worried about the amount I'm eating!
My line manager had to do a risk assessment on me today, she mentioned that someone in the team had been quizzing another manager as she heard someone talking in the toilet! Great now I'm getting gossiped about! I thought I was being very discreet with my symptoms.

Ps Kit Kat fab job with the lists Smile

Sunnydays321 · 29/04/2016 18:13

Great scan barking! Such a clear picture. Bet that's a relief.

I had a bit of a cry to DH this morning. Along the lines of "what if the baby has died in there and I don't know about it"... I know it's morbid to think like that all the time, and that the statistics are in our favour after seeing heartbeat at 7weeks. But I was sick once a day Sunday Monday Tuesday and then nothing since. No real nausea, a bit gaggy occasionally but iv also got a bad cold so it's only really when I cough. Quite a lot of pelvic pulling sharp type pains but no bleeding. I don't think I can wait till the 12 week scan (which could be as late as 14 weeks!) but I know if I have a scan now I will feel the same in a week and don't want to get into a vicious cycle. Anyone else feel like this? X

Theaks · 29/04/2016 18:24

Sunny, simple answer, YES all the time. Happened in my last pregnancy and so scared it will happen again. I agree having a scan won't help. Your reassured for that moment while your there but as soon as you leave worry kicks in again

Dunlin1987 · 29/04/2016 18:41

Sunnydays I totally understand how you are feeling! I have not stopped worrying! It was so difficult to even get pregnant with my pcos it all just feels too good to be true at the minute. Had a scan at 5 + 4 and they only saw a sac which I expected. Had no real symptoms apart from really weird dreams, stretching type cramps, sore breasts up to 6 weeks and tiredness but I am a teacher and generally tired all the time anyway. Have a scan booked in for Wednesday and can't stop thinking it is going to be bad news. Don't feel positive at all no matter how hard I try. Desperate to see a heart beat.

Dunlin1987 · 29/04/2016 18:43

Should say I am 8 + 4 now.

lilydaisyrose · 29/04/2016 18:43

Aw barking, I am over the moon for you, I remember your back story - you must be absolutely cock-a-hoop! Is your DH acknowledging pg now? When is your next scan?

Thisisbonkers · 29/04/2016 18:46

I've lost 3lbs since the nausea kicked in! I'm trying to eat little and often but I just don't want anything. The thought of food turns my stomach.

I have an early scan tomorrow. I hoe we get a lovely picture Smile

SouthDownsSunshine · 29/04/2016 18:47

barking that's great! I'm so pleased for you.

sunny I'm having fortnightly scans and I'm still super worried in between!

I know I'm like a stuck record, but eugh, the sickness. I feel like crying.

Sunnydays321 · 29/04/2016 18:56

Dunlin sorry you are feeling this way too. I also conceived with pcos. It doesn't help that I'm in the baby business so I see all the bad things as well as the good. I know that the majority of people have healthy term pregnancies but obviously a few don't and I can't stop thinking... Why would I be one of the lucky ones?

South Downs, that's the thing.. I think if I booked a scan I would want another one in a week! And so on.

Theakes.. Sorry I couldn't work out if you just felt like that, or did have a misc in 1st pregnancy. If so I'm sorry, you must feel worse than me. I don't even have a background reason to worry. Just a worrier!!

What about the sickness.. Or lack of? I was sick at the beginning of the week and now nothing for three days? I know know one can actually tell me. Just makes me feel better to ramble as dhs outlook is just to "think positively" but that doesn't help me.

Bonkers good luck with the scan tomorrow!

X

becciandbump · 29/04/2016 19:01

Hi guys hope u are all looking forward to the three day rest. Shattered again at this end I actually had to tell one of my colleagues today because I was so whacked at work I was paranoid she thought I was lazy im a physio so the work is quite heavy on the wards. Also severely constipated too and worried about how much sugar is in prune juice ive been drinking it by the gallon but it tastes really sweet so I'm worried as I know I'm at risk of diabetes during pregnancy has anyone any tips for keeping things moving im on my feet all day so getting plenty of walking in xx

weechops · 29/04/2016 19:40

Yay barking brilliant scan pic!

bonkers good luck for tomorrow.

Loving all these scans! I need to wait for the 12 week one in June!

firawla · 29/04/2016 19:41

Lovely scan pic barking!

Re weight gain, I'm also struggling with this already! I've put on 1kg and am only 7 weeks, I was hoping to keep losing with sw for a while yet or at the very least to maintain. I'm not even very nauseas or hungry so don't have those as an excuse I think it's more cos I've been so tired and ended up having take away and bit of frozen food instead of proper meals on a couple of days, so will have to force myself to keep on track

duxb · 29/04/2016 19:42

Hi all - happy Friday! Sorry for those with bad news / feeling deflated. Hopefully the long weekend will give us all some respite. Woke up today feel bit too awful which completely threw me. Was anxious something was wrong etc and got home, had an awful session of wind and then promptly threw up into a bowl whilst sat on the sofa.

I'm not sure the anxiety ever goes away - the first trimester is full of it.

We paid for a private early scan and saw a hb/correct measurements etc and the worry is still there. That "what if?" "What if?" 12 week scan feels weeks away still (it's only 2 for me) and even then we have screening results, anomaly scans etc to come. Confused

duxb · 29/04/2016 19:43

Meant to say woke up feeling not awful at all! Gosh....

DartmoorDoughnut · 29/04/2016 19:47

Whooooooooop! Fab news barking

duxb · 29/04/2016 19:56

And barking - incredible scan photo! Amazing stuff X

Nuttypops · 29/04/2016 20:15

Becci, I was told to eat a lot of kiwis or drink kiwi juice after I had DD to help. I hope you start to feel better soon.

becciandbump · 29/04/2016 20:23

Hadn't thought of kiwis thanks so much I'll try that. Also just googled fibrogel and I think it's safe so just taken one it wasn't my normal gp I saw who stopped it but considering I needed it before pregnancy think he may have been wrong to stop it.

weechops · 29/04/2016 20:32

becci Lactulose is safe to take in pregnancy and I find it helps.

CinderellaFant · 29/04/2016 20:53

Hi everyone...can I join? Just got a positive test today! Grin

SpaceDinosaur · 29/04/2016 20:58

I don't want to eat. Am 5 weeks today. Low level nausea apart from when eating or full but I don't want to eat. My brain is overruling my piglet. It's weird.

Bigfam · 29/04/2016 21:39

Congrats cinderella Smile

I don't really want to eat either space, I literally force myself sometimes, anything to get rid of the horrible nausea! Fresh air really helps me too, it was like magic the other day how much better I felt when dp dragged me to marwell with dd's 3 & 4 Grin
