Also, they're not infectious once they're scabbed over so that's not an issue. It's the two weeks before symptoms appear when they're also infectious that's the tricky bit!

7 weeks today. Had a misery meltdown last night. Pure hormones I think.

dinosaur try not to worry too much. If you've had the pox before you will be fine, honestly. When my 2nd was newborn my dd got them! And then 2 weeks later poor tiny ds was covered in them too. He was one giant spot! So much for tiny babies having immunity from their mothers He was fine btw.
under ahhh the hormones I know them well 😂 I kept a pregnancy journal for all of mine and reading through them again was hilarious, the things I got upset and angry over!

Ladies I am FREAKING THE F OUT!

In shower and after a wipe I had brown mucus-y discharge. Can anyone give me any reassurance that this is normal? Obviously thinking it's going to turn red and I'll be completely devastated.

I'm 6+5 today I think. Not too many symptoms just slight nausea over last couple of days but that's now gone.

Currently in Switzerland which is making it worse as can't rock up to the clinic for answers.

Rider1975, ChoChang and Rosa89 sorry you are all having a stressful time with scans / spotting. I'm keeping you on 'the list for now until you get confirmation either way, but let me know if you want me to do differently.

Tiny I wouldn't panic about light amounts of brown / pink spotting as it can be implantation spotting or old blood. Heavier or red bleeding is more of a course for concern.

9 weeks today. Still feeling shattered and a bit hormonal. Ended up crying at work yesterday due to stress and exhaustion. Not a good look!

Oh and I'm really worried about how much weight I'm going to put on. I have to eat something carby at least every 2-3 hours or else I feel sick. Last year I has to lose 2 stone of pregnancy weight from DD1 (which I did) and I'm worried it's all going to go back on again.

salmon brown blood is old, so could be implantation . Totally understand the freak out though.

In my own shower freak out this morning I noticed that for the first time in weeks my cervix is soft and low. So obviously now I think it's all over. Scan at the clinic this afternoon and I'm shitting myself. It's all a total headfuck.

kitkat I'm exactly the same - every 2 hours. I'm already overweight so I'm going to end up enormous at this rate!

Is anyone thinking about names yet? Dh and I don't agree on any, never have 😂 The other dc were flukes I think!

I got really worried last night about catching any nasties whilst pregnant too, then I completely freaked out because dd2 & ds both have cold sores and I'm sure you're supposed to avoid the virus that causes themy. Sending positive vibes for your scan barking, and I'm glad your doctor reassured you about your worries tiny.

I was coming on to ask who else is ravenous, I could eat all day long. I'm going with TUC crackers today.

I feel absolutely AWFUL if I don't eat regularly and it usually has to be carby. I eat at odd times often and don't usually eat breakfast - can't get away with that just now! 2 weetabix & some Asda donuts this morning already and I'm just about to tuck into a homemade mozzarella, basil & tomato sandwich. I feel light headed, queasy and yukky as well as gaggy & sick if I don't eat regularly.

I can't even get away with little and often, I tried getting away with eating crackers and things but end up gagging if I don't eat a three course meal every two hours!

Having the opposite problem here. Complete loss of appetite and can't keep very much down. Have lost half a stone in the last few weeks. I'm 7+6 so still a long way to go to when/if it gets better. My gp signed me off work this week because I was too weak from all the vomiting. How will I cope for another 7 months?

tinysalmon brown spotting can be old blood and can be normal. I had brown spotting a few days ago and went to the epu as paranoid because of previous MC. The sonograpger said it was just bruising in my uterus, nothing to worry about.
Heavy and red would be more of a concern but even then I've read lots of people who have had bleeding and still gone on to have healthy pregnancies!

Also eating like a piglet here. Can't stop.

shopaholic85 you poor thing, sounds hard. Have you been prescribed anti-sickness meds? I went to the gp with dc4 and was prescribed antihistamines, I honestly can't remember if it worked. I felt awful over the weekend but since Monday have been better.

Bigfam, I think asking for anti-sickness meds is the next step. I'm just very nervous about taking any medication since my mc in Jan. The rational part of my brain knows that the risk to the baby will be very low vs. benefit to me, but I know I will blame myself if anything happened.

I'm so jealous of you lucky ladies who are eating loads!

hi ladies haven't caught up here.
Is anyone else just feeling down?? I can't put my finger on it but I just feel down! Kids have been good at school, I'm up to date with marking but I just feel low.
I'm hoping a catch up with a mate will perk me up tonight...and the long weekend too.

I was like that last night but feel fine again today. I'm sure it's just hormones. I was an anxious, panicky wreck last time so the odd mood swing this time feels like small potatoes. I think it's perfectly normal though.

tinysalmon I had a 5 day period like bleed the week before I found out I was pregnant, and then brown discharge for about 5 days a couple of weeks ago so try not to worry. I think its more common than it seems in women who then go on to have a healthy baby.

Got an early scan tonight at 7+5 as while I am excited, I'm struggling to believe its really happening.

Sorry to hear some of you are really struggling with nausea and vomiting. I've got constant nausea and no hunger. I was going to ask the gp for something, but I thought I'd try and last a bit longer.

Had my booking in appointment, good to have reached this milestone. My request for an ELCS has been logged, and the midwife gave me a pamphlet to read ahead of the consultant appointment.

Scan was all good, measuring 8+1, strong heart beat and you could even see the cord!!
Might actually be 4th time lucky!!
