I've peed on so many sticks, I really need to stop it lol :)

Mejse · 28/04/2016 07:33

Sorry for your bad news jojo Flowers

I'm 6 weeks today! This cold I caught has had me constantly coughing and sneezing and since about midday yesterday I have been getting sharp pains for a few seconds around my pelvic region every time I sneeze or cough. Sometimes it's on one side or the other and every now and then its both sides. So far it has continued today. Anyone else experienced this? or have any idea what it could be? I feel like its too early for round ligament pain?

NotAClue82 · 28/04/2016 07:55

Mejse I had the same pain about two weeks ago (when I was around six weeks) and it worried me because as you say I thought it was too early for ligament pain. After a few days the pain just stopped, though, so I'm assuming things are fine!

Thanks Nutty I did wonder about going to the doctors but in my last pregnancy (which was very similar) things started to get much better around 11-12 weeks, so I might just hang in there for now!

rider1975 · 28/04/2016 08:21

Sorry Jojo -Flowers enjoy planning your honeymoon. That's very exciting.

For me, I'm waiting for my Thursday scan next week to see if the sonographers view that I will MC comes true. We had a big holiday to Jamaica this Summer which was going to be cancelled for Zika but which we'll now keep.

Still enjoying reading your messages about pregnancies as I still feel hopeful for the future

Roxy2307 · 28/04/2016 08:42

Hi everybody.
I'm sorry to hear some sad news for some, I'm thinking of you.
Been off the radar for a week and couldn't believe how many posts have appeared in the meantime... Good work!
Helbelle I'm currently in Belgium but we have recently found out we're being posted to the Lincoln area from late August. A little daunting as I don't know anybody!
As for me... Been feeling quite nauseous but not actually sick (thankfully) but have had two episodes of spotting after DTD. It made me worry so have been booked in for a scan next Weds at our EPU when I'll be 6+6.
Anyone else had a similar thing?
Take care all Smile

fiddlesticks123 · 28/04/2016 09:00

Mejse I'm getting the exact same short but uncomfortable cramps after sneezing, think it's just the muscle spasm causing a short burst of pain. I'm 9wks today and have my booking apt this afternoon so it's on my little list to run through with the MW!

Mejse · 28/04/2016 09:53

Thanks NotAClue and fiddlesticks glad I am not the only one.

I think I am going to have to tell some of my university teachers soon, we do a 6 week internship that ends around the 2nd of December. Luckily I have credits from previous study so I have room to move things around a little. I am hoping to start going in a few days a week from September and finish a bit early but I will need to organise that before we finish for summer next month.

Helbelle75 · 28/04/2016 11:15

Hi Roxy
I know lots of people, so give me a shout when you know where you're moving to exactly and we can meet up if you want.
I had some sharp pains around week 6 on the right hand side but the only lasted a day and I can't be too sure it wasn't wind!

Londonmamabychance · 28/04/2016 11:19

hello everybody! congratualtions on your pregnancies! I'm now seven week with my second, have a daughter who's 18 months now. Very excited and happy, but also slightly anxious, because I have so few symptoms? By this time in m first pregnancy I had massively sore and swollen boobs, exhaustion and constat nausea. With this, all I have is a tiny bit of nausea now and again, and a few period pain like twinges now and again. Any of you also have very few symptoms? It's especially my boobs not having changed at all that worries me...surely the preggo hormones should make them change? Could it be because of bf with DD? Breastfeed her up till 15 months, so had only been of BF for 2 months when I got pregnant....I'm so worried something is wrong, and the 12 week scan seems so far away,. especially as they've given me a date that's actually in weeks 13

underrugsswept · 28/04/2016 12:02

Hi London. I've read that breast changes can be very different the second time because they've 'done it before'. Mine are very slightly sore and I've gone up a cup size (my pre baby bras fit me again, yay!) but I've had barely any nausea either. 6+6 here.

tisilisa · 28/04/2016 12:09

Hi all. I'm currently 7+4 with my 1st 😀 I live in tenerife but all medical appointments and forums are in Spanish so needing reassurance from other mums I can communicate fluently with. So far no sickness but slight nausea some days and a mega sugar craving 😝😝

Rosa89 · 28/04/2016 12:14

Hi everyone,
Went to the epu this morning and got to see a tiny little baby with a flickering heartbeat. The spotting I've been experiencing is because of bruising on my uterus if I remember correctly. But my dates are spot on for 8 weeks. Such a relief.
Flowers for those with sad news, I've been there, take the time to heal.

Londonmamabychance · 28/04/2016 12:15

thanks, underrug, that's comforting to hear. I just think it's such a long time to wait for the 12 week scan, although fully understand why we have to wait, it's just so nerve wrecking.

Theaks · 28/04/2016 12:29

Hi London, my boobs don't look or feel any different. Gutted as I was hoping for a increase in cup size. Ha ha!
Just been for a scan at the EPU, I had some spotting! I have gained a day since my last. Now 8.4. It's so worrying this pregnancy malarkey

Londonmamabychance · 28/04/2016 13:28

thanks, Theaks! yes, it is so stressful! I thought I'd be much more chilled out with the second one, and I am, but only because I was off the chart anxious and worried last time, so this time I guess I'm just anxious at a moderate level, but still so much more anxious than I thought I'd be! hopefully we'll all be okay, it's very natural to feel worried, but it helps to share it, and to know that everyone and each pregnancy is different.

Growingbeanno2 · 28/04/2016 13:30

Hello all. Can I join. Currently 7.3 I think with dc2 I have a DS aged 2.3yrs. Feeling like shite and have given up on being brave today, taken to my PJs and been prescribed cyclizine. Just going to collect it!

Anyway, hi!!

Bigfam · 28/04/2016 16:48

Sorry to hear your news jojo, take care of yourself. Will be thinking of you and sending support for next week rider. Lovely to hear about the successful scans too ladies.
Mw should call tomorrow to arrange my booking in appointment, but I'm just estimating from the clear blue that I took nearly two weeks ago, I'm roughly 7+4, will have to wait for the scan to know for sure though as my cycle was all over the place!

rider1975 · 28/04/2016 17:31

Thank you Bigfam. I've found a good website called Misdiagnosed Miscarriages Musings which is giving me some hope Smile

Thisisbonkers · 28/04/2016 19:30

I'm so sorry jojo. And rider

Catching up on a few pages' worth..! People are asking me outright because I'm visibly nauseated. A couple of work colleagues and (non close) friends have had a Shock "no!" response! My parents and a few close friends are in on the secret.

It's affecting my hobby (any pony owning friends here?). I just can't face it.

8+4 today Shock

babyinthacorner · 28/04/2016 19:49

So sorry to hear about Jojo. Makes me a teeny bit grateful for this fucking nausea.

My news is that I'm still eating like a horse every 2 hours. Another colleague guessed that I'm pregnant due to the amount I'm eating Blush
And today I fell over hard whilst playing tag with my class during PE. Luckily they didn't laugh, and seemed genuinely concerned. I did a proper slow motion fall/slide across the Astro turf. Shaaaaaame!!!

hiccup223 · 28/04/2016 19:52

So sorry to hear people's troubles. Flowers please take care of yourselves.

Brief reintro- 26 baby #1 and approx 6+2 today. Just booked a private early scan for 2 weeks today - same day as my first midwife appt! Eek!

No massive symptoms. Sore boobs and tiredness but not sure if more tired than normal. Also feel like constantly eating and having to hold myself back. Only a couple of brief spells of nausea but nothing major at all. When did anyone else start to get more symptoms? When did sickness/ nausea start? Not looking forward to that!! X

Hannahcarp27 · 28/04/2016 19:53

At airport waiting for flight at 9 and I can not keep my eyes open!!! I guess it will make the 17 hour journey go quickly. Let's just hope I don't suddenly develop the nausea feeling whilst in the air and at the window seat!!

StubbleTurnips · 28/04/2016 20:54

This we don't have a horse, just a horse obsessed 3yo who visits the stables on our road multiple times a week to talk to horses / riders. DH is doing it at the moment when the request goes in - smell makes me heave.

SpaceDinosaur · 28/04/2016 21:05

So guess who's spent lots of time with pox riddled children today? There's a major outbreak of chicken pox in the area. I didn't think I would come across it immediately but no, 2 scabbed over 20 month olds this morning.

I freaked the absolute hell out. Spent the afternoon googling and checking but apparently if you've had it then you should be fine. But if I develop any rash etc then I am to run to the doctor...

Ugh.

underrugsswept · 29/04/2016 06:23

Dinosaur, there a several cases of CP in my DS's room at nursery. I've had it (and was tested for immunity in my last pregnancy) so not too worried but am definitely on spot watch here too!
