Slumberparty · 06/05/2016 14:02

Hi all! Had my scan today and everything looks fine Smile

smellsofelderberries · 06/05/2016 14:57

Great news Slumber Smile how far along are you measuring?

Slumberparty · 06/05/2016 15:09

About 12+6 so 5 days more than I thought. Heartbeat was 151 bpm so wondering if that means a girl! Apparently over 140bpm indicates a girl. Not sure how accurate that really is though!

coppergrey · 06/05/2016 15:46

So sorry Spin, sending my love to you.

almond, I didn't even think to use my Baby on Board badge for the flight! It would've been great to skip the massive homeland security line when I was desperate for a wee! Currently just waiting for our delayed flight to our next US destination. I am knackered but 11 weeks tomorrow and feeling less nauseous so that's good!

Good luck to all waiting for scans/results. My 12 week is in 2 weeks, eeeep!

LadyFarnborough · 06/05/2016 16:38

So sorry for those that have had bad scans.

I'm 11+3. Scan is a week Monday and I'm bored of waiting. I had one 2 weeks ago and saw a heartbeat so have had some reassurance but I would just like to know everything is ok so I can let people know and get my baby on board badge for my commute!

Anyone else a total sweaty Betty in bed at night? OH says its like sharing a bed with a furnace Grin

mrsdane · 06/05/2016 16:44

Lady, yes. So much. I keep waking up feeling disgusting in the middle of the night. It was particularly bad in the earlier weeks though, and it's eased off a touch now thankfully.

copper - I've read that wearing a baby on board badge when you check in for a flight is a good idea for the old upgrade list. Not had personal experience of this but apparently it doesn't hurt to wear it. Maybe one to try on the way home?

tiredmumrighthere · 06/05/2016 17:33

Congrats slumber on good scan results Smile

My scan went very well, they've measured the baby as 12+4 and edd is 14th November, so happy x

bobcat85 · 06/05/2016 18:03

Congrats on all the positive scans, so great to hear.

Got my combined screening results back today, they came really quickly considering I only had them done Tuesday. 1:15618 for trisomy 21 and 1:20000 for trisomy 13/18 so both low risk, hurray! Been so worried and was expecting a call but so happy. Feel like it's actually going to happen now, I've probably been overally pessimistic since we found out.

CakeAndChocolate · 06/05/2016 19:58

Congrats slumber tired and bob!

FuzzyOwl · 06/05/2016 20:14

Great news tired, slumber and bob.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Fedupithink · 06/05/2016 20:43

Huge congrats on the positive scans everyone! Lovely way to end the week.

almondbutter · 06/05/2016 21:54

Dear all, good to see positive scan and screening news coming through.

copper I haven't yet been upgraded because of the badge, but BA staff yesterday were really nice. Our plane's air con broke before take off for 45 mins and I was super hot and feeble. They couldn't have brought me more ice or water and were just super attentive throughout flight.
Sadly the badge cut no ice at Boston this morning when I had to stand for an hour to get through security. A few airport people said 'I like your pin' as if I was wearing it for decoration rather than queue cutting.
Baby seems to like pancakes/muffins/crispy bacon. What a surprise.
Hope you're having a good trip x

SECOND TRIMESTER!! (Can you tell I'm excited about this?!)Grin

LittleGreyCatwithapinkcollar · 07/05/2016 11:00

So exciting smells. I'll be joining you tomorrow!

westergille · 07/05/2016 11:19

Hello, I've been lurking since thread 1. I'm 12+1 today and this is the first Saturday for ages that I have enough energy to do more than just survive Smile. DD1 is 3 and I've been surprised at how much more exhausting it's been this time round.
Scan is on Wednesday - can't wait!

tiredmumrighthere · 07/05/2016 11:53

Ahh smiles and little I'll be joining you Monday Smile

Welcome wester Wine

Fedupithink · 07/05/2016 17:12

Second trimester here too! The relief!!

Managed another swim today (hold the front page that's two Saturday's in a row!) but I'm totally wiped out now and I've already had a 2 hour nap.

The nausea has gone now but the tiredness is still insane.

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend!

bobcat85 · 07/05/2016 18:37

This may be a stupid question but when does the second trimester start? I can't find a definate answer on Google, some say 12, some say 13 and some say 14. Very confusing.

fuzzywuzzy · 07/05/2016 18:41

I think it's week 13.

FuzzyOwl · 07/05/2016 19:53

Welcome Wester and I hope your scan goes well on Wednesday.

I am so tired and so fed up of these constant headaches. I stupidly Googled the headaches and found out they are second trimester symptoms which means I might have another three months of them to suffer through! 😱

AyeAmarok · 07/05/2016 21:10

Welcome Wester.

I have my scan middle of next week too! Although might already be in the 2nd trimester, scary thought!

fuzzywuzzy · 07/05/2016 23:11

Is it a problem if the twelve week scan happens after 13 weeks instead? Mine's scheduled for when I'm over 13 weeks, little bit worried now.

smellsofelderberries · 07/05/2016 23:13

Fuzzy I'm pretty sure the first trimester screening can happen up to 14+1.

Slumberparty · 07/05/2016 23:40

Hi Fuzzy, I thought the Nuchal Fold measurement has to be done between weeks 11 to 13. I could be wrong though. I can't see why they would schedule your scan at a time when it would be too late to do the screening.
If it is too late the Harmony test can be done at any time x

fuzzywuzzy · 08/05/2016 04:49

Thank you both, I had my booking in appt last week I think they've just scheduled me when they can fit me in. Hopefully it will be within the time limit.

I'm worrying about everything.
