Haha: being sick has become so normal. Was merrily sitting on the sofa and was just sick like that out of nowhere. Thankfully (though yuck) into my hands. I have this purple throw DH hates so he's sad it didn't go all over that. Have had a really good productive day so finding it funny rather than depressing.

smellsofelderberries · 03/05/2016 20:20

Good luck for tomorrow bobcat!!!

Beelzebubble · 03/05/2016 20:27

Is anyone on progesterone support? I'm meant to discontinue it on Thursday and I'm a bit terrified :/

bobcat85 · 03/05/2016 20:49

Thanks smells.

fuzzywuzzy · 03/05/2016 22:33

Beelze I'm not on progesterone but if you've been prescribed it, call your consultant to discuss any concerns you have. if you've been told to stop taking it it should be safe.

Good luck. But do talk to your GP/consultant/midwife and put your mind to rest.

Fedupithink · 03/05/2016 22:57

Is it just Bob with a scan tomorrow? Good luck!

CakeAndChocolate · 03/05/2016 23:41

beezle I'm not taking it but I thought progesterone support was only needed until the placenta takes over anyway? Admittedly I know next to nothing about this...... I second fuzzyw's suggestion of chatting to your doctor re your concerns so hopefully they can explain the mechanics and put your mind at rest.

FuzzyOwl · 04/05/2016 02:04

Good luck with your scan bobcat.

Was so tired but after an hour, I am wide awake so have given up trying to get back to sleep.

Spottyladybird · 04/05/2016 05:35

It's my scan today too. So nervous. It's not until 2.30 so I'm going to work this morning. I've been up since 5 worrying, it'll be a long day!!

Slumberparty · 04/05/2016 05:49

Good luck with scans today!
I'm 12 weeks today and puked for the first time. I've felt nausea from weeks 5 to 10 but it has been easing off since. Then today out of nowhere I throw up. Luckily I was in the bathroom - I'd just brushed my teeth. WTF is that about! This had better be a one-off Angry

BeedlesPineNeedles · 04/05/2016 06:11

spotty and bob good luck with the Scans today

beezle I'm also on progesterone. I was only supposed to be on it until about 8 weeks but as I had loads left I was way too scared to stop taking it. Have you been told to cut down? or just stop? I was on 3/day but dropped down to 2/day a couple of weeks ago and then 1/day. I'll stop completely next week. I'm also a bit scared but at the same time I'm fed-up of residue leaking out of me and needing pantliners.

AlbusPercival · 04/05/2016 06:26

Can I whinge at you guys?

My head aches so bad. Has done got about 3 days. Assumed dehydration but have drunk so much water that is inpossoble.

My brain is also fucked. I have merrily organised a run on DH birthday, completely forgetting it was his birthday, and a family day out the same day I am on brownie camp

Don't trust myself at work now!

Fedupithink · 04/05/2016 06:56

Good luck Spotty and Bobcat I'm sending positive vibes!

Albus I've read the headaches can be caused by the extra blood we now have in our own systems, the extra pressure. Aparantly exercise is meant to help but I'm not quite sure how.

I've also made some silly mistakes at work so far but I think it's through worry about my scan tomorrow more than anything as j can't concentrate.

LittleGreyCatwithapinkcollar · 04/05/2016 06:58

Good luck for today's scans.
Albus sorry about your head. Headaches are a very common symptom throughout pregnancy so don't assume dehydration.
I've had a recurrence of horrible pg nausea over the last couple of evenings. I'm 12+3 now so thought I was over it. It's getting to me now (though I realise I'm lucky compared to many of you!) But with DD I had it weeks 6-11. This time it's been weeks 4-12+ and I'm just ready for it to go!
Scan tomorrow... nerves kicking in!!

bobcat85 · 04/05/2016 07:20

Thanks all and good luck Spotty :)

CakeAndChocolate · 04/05/2016 07:46

Good luck spotty and bob

Albus I've had an awful headache pretty much since BFP, I think it's just hormones. I think they should ease off as we get out of the first trimester and hormone levels settle down.

Fedupithink · 04/05/2016 07:57

Littlegrey nerves kicking in for me too! I think it was you, me and Smells tomorrow - plus maybe one other?

I keep thinking that they will tell me there is nothing there.

Did you guys have an early scan? I had one at 6+3 and saw a strong heartbeat but that feels like so long ago now, I can't help but think anything could have happened in that time.

tiredmumrighthere · 04/05/2016 08:12

Good luck with scans today girls x

Bollyroo · 04/05/2016 08:45

Good luck spotty and bob.

I'm in the Thursday scan club as well, 5pm here so just when you'll be waking up I guess. I really don't want to have the NT test etc but am desperate to be reassured that there's a skull and heartbeat. Quite Wizard of Oz. I guess I need the lion's courage... My doctor couldn't really understand why I didn't want to find out the risks and wrote full NT on the referral. Has anyone else just got a viability scan rather than the all the NT risk assessment and how did you tell the sonographer that's what you wanted?

FuzzyOwl · 04/05/2016 08:48

Good luck as well Spotty and anyone else with a scan today.

Albus horrible headaches are my main symptom. They are just awful so you have my full sympathy but this week they do seem to be easing so I really hope you aren't far from your ones starting to go.

AlbusPercival · 04/05/2016 09:17

Thanks all I'm 14+6 so really thought they would have gone by now

INeedNewShoes · 04/05/2016 09:29

FIngers crossed for today's scans.

Albus your headaches sound nasty. I hope they disappear soon. I've had a couple of headachy mornings where usually I'm not at all prone to headaches but I've been lucky that they've been short-lived.

Spindelina · 04/05/2016 09:34

I'm in the Thirsday club too - 5:30 pm.

Bolly in the UK it's really easy to refuse the trisomy screening tests - all the leaflets we are given suggest that you might want to do that, especially if you would refuse amniocentesis. Disappointing that your doctor can't understand why you might want to decline! Not sure where you are, but they shouldn't do any tests without your consent.

Thurlow · 04/05/2016 09:52

Good luck to everyone with scans today!

Bolly, we just had to tell the midwife whether we wanted the tests or not. The sonographer checked again as well. Just tell the sonographer you don't want the tests and they shouldn't do them, as they involve an extra bit of the test and then some blood tests. We had to go back in to scan the baby three times and that was all because of the NT tests, as in they could see in the first position there was a viable baby with a heart, arms, legs etc but they needed another position for the nuchal fold tests. So in theory it should be easy.

Beelzebubble · 04/05/2016 09:56

Good luck with the scans, ladies :)

Thanks everyone xx I'll ring the nurse at my doc's practice today. Beedles, I was just told to stop :/ I'm on 8% crinone once a day. The residue is horrid!
