Wow! Thread number three.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
FuzzyOwl · 29/04/2016 18:18

I have had some really nice, positive NHS scans but the private ones (apart from the first one I ever had) are completely different and so much better.

I am having a private scan in three weeks to find out whether Owlet is a girl or boy.

needanewjob · 29/04/2016 21:20

Sorry fuzzyowl I've tried to inbox you on my iPad and my iPhone and it just won't let me. I can't think of another way to join FB group whilst keeping it private

FuzzyOwl · 29/04/2016 21:25

I have sent you a PM need in the hope that you can reply to it. Otherwise are you on the app? If so, can you log in through the website?

Fedupithink · 29/04/2016 22:29

Thanks for the link to that thread I'll have a look.

I think it's maybe just beginning to dawn on me that this might all really be happening and I'm such a control freak it's kind of tipping me off my axis if that makes sense.

Thursday afternoon feels like a lifetime away.

needanewjob · 30/04/2016 10:15

Just got my combined blood results through the post. I'm considered low chance with a 1 in 100,000 chance for Edwards or Patau and 1 in 14,200 chance for Down's syndrome. I feel so relieved that at the moment everything looks good but because I wasn't expecting the results so quickly I also feel a little bit in shock! It does mean we can finally tell people tho which is good as I'm getting more rotund by the day!

FuzzyOwl · 30/04/2016 10:29

Great news and really low risk results need.

needanewjob · 30/04/2016 10:58

Thanks fuzzyowl I wasn't expecting to get the results until I saw my midwife which isn't for another week.

Jamjar12 · 30/04/2016 11:00

Great news Smile

LittleGreyCatwithapinkcollar · 30/04/2016 11:35

Great news need!

needanewjob · 30/04/2016 11:41

Thank you everyone. We've had the most awful year and a bit and I've not dared get my hopes up - still can't really, but it's another step forward

Bollyroo · 30/04/2016 12:40

Good work everyone with the positive scan results! Mine has been postponed until Tuesday - argh the agony! But I'm learning how to be patient, very non- Gen Y...

So, 12 wish today (yay!) but I've lost about 4lbs so far and have been lucky enough not to be sick (so far touch wood). I've been eating normally although having said that I had bovril and a tin of smoked oysters for tea. Totally addicted to bovril suddenly. And the oysters? They were in the cupboard and it was quicker than making toast. But usually I've been eating normally. God, I'm actually turning into my grandmother with that combination.

Anyway, has anyone else lost a bit of weight and how much is too much?

fuzzywuzzy · 30/04/2016 12:48

Bolly I lost a stone when expecting my eldest, doctors weren't concerned about baby insisting she'd be fine as she'd take everything she needed from me, they were concerned about me tho. If you're being so sick as to lose weight go speak to your GP or midwife, you can get anti nausea meds which are safe for both you and baby.

Needanew, I'm really anxious about my bloods too which they won't be taking for another two weeks. I'm probably high risk as I'm older. Trying not to worry about it.

Jamjar12 · 30/04/2016 13:04

Hey Bolly, I'm 10+2 and I've lost 3lb so far. Definitely thicker round the middle so not sure how that's working. I understand the Bovril thing- I'm loving Marmite!

needanewjob · 30/04/2016 13:07

fuzzywuzzy I'm 37 and will be 38 by the time little one arrives so I was expecting higher risk results too. Fingers crossed for a great result for you

FuzzyOwl · 30/04/2016 14:17

fuzzyw I am old and still got low risk results. Fingers crossed for you.

almondbutter · 30/04/2016 15:11

Hi all. Really pleased that despite throwing up four times this morning I have bust my 10000 steps a day target by miles today for the first time in months. Feel great for it. Small win.

Hope you're all feeling OK, scan nerves not too bad etc.

Fedupithink · 30/04/2016 15:15

Congrats on the low screening results need

I had a late night last night as dinner with friends but got up at normal time and did the unthinkable - I went to the gym for a swim! It's the first time I've exercised since before I found out.

So pleased with myself at 11+6 but I've spent the last three hours asleep!

almondbutter · 30/04/2016 15:19

fedup: active preggo lady high five.

Fedupithink · 30/04/2016 15:26

active preggo lady high five right back at you almond!

FuzzyOwl · 30/04/2016 15:45

Well done almond and Fed. I feel really lazy now! Grin

fuzzywuzzy · 30/04/2016 17:00

Need & FuzzyO, thank you for the reassurance. I'm 38 god this whole being pregnant thing is so worrying.

I spent the morning walking all over a shopping centre to buy wedding outfits for my DD's a close friend is getting married next weekend. I'm now in bed and nothing will make me lift a finger! So utterly shattered.

Spindelina · 30/04/2016 17:14

So so tired today. Had a two hour nap this afternoon but still absolutely shattered.

coppergrey · 30/04/2016 18:11

Great news Need and well done almond and fed for getting out and about!

I thought I was doing really well today - didn't go to bed till midnight last night (latest I've been up in MONTHS), got up at 10am, been out all day and preparing to go back out at 7pm... just been asleep on the sofa for 2 hours and am now beyond exhausted. Too much, too soon!

Beelzebubble · 30/04/2016 19:24

13 + 2 and sick again after 2 weeks of feeling great!

Bleugh

Woody096 · 30/04/2016 20:24

Beezlebubble I am exactly the same! Felt fab the last two weeks, back at the gym etc! Today I have been ropey all day, nausea & exhausted! Hopefully just one day!! At least it's the bank hol!xx
