sleepy, thank you for sharing that link. What an amazing woman your friend is. I'm always amazed at the strength women possess and the sacrifices we are willing to make for our children, right from the moment of conception.

So good to see such positive scan news! Congratulations to you all!

I'm 11+4 today and have felt 100% fine all day, so naturally I'm now worried! 7 days until the scan.... Tick tock!

smellsofelderberries - I've been getting stretching pains, especially if I get up quickly or sneeze.

Thought my tiredness would get better at 11weeks but I've been going to bed about 8 all this week. Looking forward to the three day weekend. I think my bump is mostly fat and bloat.

Hi,
After our second scan today Anencephaly/ acrania was confirmed. Basically the babies brain hasn't formed. It was surreal to watch the scan, with the baby wiggling away and the heart flickering brightly. Unfortunately the prognosis is always terminal. Some babies are carried to term but all die within hours of birth.
We have decided to "interrupt" the pregnancy medically as the consultant put it and I will go in for the first tablet on Sunday, then back on Tuesday to stay in until its over.

We are devastated. I'm feeling pretty numb now. I probably wont be checking back in. I really hope you all have the wonderful, healthy pregnancies you are hoping for.

Fedup, glad I'm not the only one! 11+1 today and have only had the briefest moments of nausea. Definitely starting to feel better, which makes me hope this next week passes all the quicker!
