Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

copper I can't lie, I had a bit of a belly before baby, but it's now really firm, like a rugby player or something. DH finds it funny. Now baby can hopefully feel prods, he's prodding my tummy quite a lot too.

tiredmumrighthere · 27/04/2016 21:27

Well here goes...hoping tonight isn't a repeat of last night because he might not make it out alive! No fun feeling this rubbish when you've got 4 kids to look after Confused

Copper-I've got a little bump but that might be down to the fact this is my 5th, my stomach was flat until about 4 weeks ago then it just popped out x

coppergrey · 27/04/2016 21:31

almond I definitely had a bit of a belly before too... but yes, much harder and rounder now! I like it a lot, actually.

tired, hope you have an easier night... sending positive vibes your way! x

tiredmumrighthere · 27/04/2016 21:37

Thank you Smile

smellsofelderberries · 27/04/2016 22:08

copper I thought I did but it's pure bloat, when I stand up straight and tense my stomach it goes flat again.

Anyone else having lots of stretching pains? I keep having pains, mostly around my belly button and above my uterus, kind of pulling, stretching pains. They're not painful as such, just more a feeling that I freak out is a cramp and then when I concentrate I realise it's not a cramp at all. Sometimes it feels like someone is dragging a pin gently around my insides Confused

LittleGreyCatwithapinkcollar · 27/04/2016 22:11

I've changed diet to reduce acid before (tomato addiction leading to stomach ulcer 5 years ago) and tried to replicate that diet in my last pregnancy but it didn't help, although it was later on. I had omeprazole for the ulcer which was like magic. If the reflux gets as bad this time as it did last I think I'll give in and see the gp. It was horrific!!

LittleGreyCatwithapinkcollar · 27/04/2016 22:14

I have stretching pains if I stand too fast elderberries. Quite sharp pains down one or other side of my pelvis.
As for bumps, if I lie down with a full bladder I can clearly see & feel the outline of my uterus. Less so when my bladder is empty. my muscles are shot aren't they

likeawestern · 27/04/2016 22:40

I have a proper bump - 3 people guessed on Saturday night despite a baggy top and someone asked me when I was due today. My tummy muscles are shot too!!

Slumberparty · 28/04/2016 03:36

Managed to last until 8.30 before I decided to go to bed last night...just to find the huge pile of clothes to put away which I'd dumped there earlier! Don't you hate that!
I don't really have a bump yet (11 weeks) but I do have a bloated belly at the moment. Feel fat Sad
Also the last few days I've been getting dull achey period-type pains. They're definitely not cramps so assuming these are 'stretching pains'?

Fedupithink · 28/04/2016 03:57

Well up for my nightly toilet break and now can't get back to sleep.

I have a belly now but it's deffo a combination of bloat and constipation as it changes size quite dramatically throughout the day. First thing in the morning it's usually totally gone.

I'm 11+4 today and starting to worry about my scan in a weeks time. I'm half convinced there will be nothing there (despite an early scan and heartbeat at 6+3 after previous MC) but I keep dreaming that the baby has no arms... It's really beginning to distress me as its so frequent.

I so want this little one to stick, I'm praying for a healthy scan but it's very nerve wracking Confused

Tartsamazeballs · 28/04/2016 06:00

Urrrrrrr my scan is at 3pm today and I woke up at 4am and haven't been able to go back to sleep because I'm so nervy! Stupid scanxiety!!

BeedlesPineNeedles · 28/04/2016 06:22

tarts I Think its you, Almond and me with scans today. I hope its good news for all of us.

I also have bloat/bump from about lunchtime onwards, everything is definitely being pushed upwards. No-one has guessed yet - or maybe they're just waiting for me to say something!

pickledsausage · 28/04/2016 06:23

Ahh fedup I was awake then too! Wish I'd have had a look on here now 😊 My appt is at 9 this morn, I'm excited but also prepared (as much as can be) for the worst.

tarts good luck today! I'm awake super early too. Any one else having theirs today?

I think I have the beginnings of a bump although it's def been some bloat as well! Can't wait to hopefully start showing properly xx

Flamingo16 · 28/04/2016 06:35

Shared really hope today is ok for you, thinking of you.

I had my scan last night and all seems fine so far! Most surreal experience ever and my DH got quite emotional. Allowing myself to get excited now!

I've had previous problems with indigestion and heartburn so have been on omeprazole and ranitidine long term and both are effective and safe to take during pregnancy. I hope those of you who are suffering get some relief soon!

CakeAndChocolate · 28/04/2016 06:38

My scan is at 3pm today as well. Hardly slept a wink last night, tossing and turning all night long. I feel exhausted and also really nervous. 3pm feels like a long way away.

almondbutter · 28/04/2016 06:42

I'm at 11.30. DH so excited, am trying to remind him to be a little cautious. Good luck Beedles, tarts and pickled.

For those waking up for long stretches in the middle of the night, I really like Longform app, which has long articles from a load of different US and UK mags including Vanity Fair, New York, New Yorker, GQ.
I can't deny MailOnline also happens

Fedupithink · 28/04/2016 06:58

Mail-online here too Almond

So that's 5 scans today plus Flamingos already positive one? Congrats Flamingo!

It's going to be a busy day!

almondbutter · 28/04/2016 07:01

pickledsausage · 28/04/2016 07:29

Congrats flamingo and good luck everyone today. Eeeeeeek

Ooh thanks for the tip almond I find myself reading all the random threads on here but only if they have nothing to do with pregnancy!

LittleGreyCatwithapinkcollar · 28/04/2016 07:36

Good luck for all the scans today!

Flamingo16 · 28/04/2016 07:37

Thanks everyone! I forgot to say that my new EDD date is earlier than I thought too - is now Bonfire Night!

Good luck for those of you with scans today - keeping my fingers crossed for you all!

Tartsamazeballs · 28/04/2016 07:40

So many of us with scans! Fingers crossed we all get good news with lots of lovely wriggly little babies!

FuzzyOwl · 28/04/2016 07:46

Great news Flamingo

Thinking of you today Shared and hope you get good news.

Also thinking of everyone with scans today, as it seems one of the most popular days so far for our group. Sending lots of positive thoughts and hope the day goes quickly for you.

I have a bump as well but at least it can be disguised as a bit of chub so far although I really will need my maternity clothes soon. What makes it all the more painful is that I didn't need them until almost my third trimester last time, yet I am still in my first!
