Wow! Thread number three.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
smellsofelderberries · 26/04/2016 19:19

That's why ou get free dental with your medical exemption- because your gums get dodgy and they like to monitor them.

Can't believe I'm 11 weeks tomorrow. Even though our last baby never grew, on Saturday at 11+3 I'll have been pregnant for the longest I've ever been (I had an ERPC at 11+2 for my last pregnancy). I never thought we'd be here all those months ago!

Fedupithink · 26/04/2016 19:24

Thanks everyone - that's creepy yet reassuring at the same time!

Elderberries that's lovely, I had such a good day when I passed the point of my previous mc too. Enjoy!

fuzzywuzzy · 26/04/2016 19:58

Aww elderberries I know how you feel I was counting up to the days of my previous miscarriages too & was so relieved when I passed the date.

Fedup I think being pregnant makes your gums softer and more vulnerable to gum disease. I also had bleeding gums in previous pregnancies. I used corsodyl mouth wash which helped but once you get your exemption card definitely go in and get your teeth checked.

FuzzyOwl · 26/04/2016 20:34

I think mc milestones are difficult elderberries but it is always great to get past them.

CakeAndChocolate · 26/04/2016 21:56

I could throttle "D"H tonight. I came to bed at 8.30 because I was exhausted. At 9pm he starts cooking himself some dinner. The smell has filtered up to the bedroom and woken me up with the most awful nausea. I'm now in bed totally shattered, really sick and thoroughly pissed off.

Slumberparty · 27/04/2016 01:58

My DP will be back at the weekend after 2 and half weeks away so will have to get used to sharing the bed again!
Tiredmum - my scan is at 2pm, although I'm not in UK so mine will be done by the time most of the UK will be waking up. I'm starting to feel a little nervous about it now.
I can't wait to start telling family and friends!!

Bollyroo · 27/04/2016 05:09

I'm sorry but I've got to have a moan! I'm working from my bed today as I feel pretty run down - feverish, headache, sore throat. I was literally just breathing and suddenly a huge nose bleed projectiles across the bed without warning. Looks like a massacre happened. My nose now won't stop bleeding, my laptop and duvet are covered in blood and I want to cry! Since when did breathing become so dangerous?!

Wah Wah Wah. Ok. Feel better now

needanewjob · 27/04/2016 06:14

bollyroo oh no! Hope you get some help to clean it up so you could go back to bed quickly! Joys of pregnancy ...

CakeAndChocolate · 27/04/2016 06:53

Oh Bolly that's horrible. Hope it stops soon and you can quickly change the sheets before getting back into bed.

INeedNewShoes · 27/04/2016 07:09

I had no idea nosebleeds were a 'thing'! Poor you Bolly . I hope you've managed to restore civilisation and that the bleeding didn't go on for too long.

almondbutter · 27/04/2016 07:41

bolly that sounds miserable, and somehow changing the sheets is always extra dispiriting.

Lovely cocktail of end of first and beginning of second trimester symptoms here: throwing up same as ever, but it's all acid that's starting to kick around. No heartburn yet but painful, burning vomiting. However, I have made it to 12 weeks, which is a psychological milestone even if body doesn't seem on board with the idea yet.

fuzzywuzzy · 27/04/2016 07:51

Oh bolly you poor thing, just remove the duvet cover and ask your dp to put the new one on tonight.

For nose bleed try putting ice on the back of your neck. As well as pinching the bridge of your nose.

Hope you feel better soon.

tiredmumrighthere · 27/04/2016 08:30

Oh I need to have a moan! Went to bed at 9pm last night, partner was watching the football downstairs so thought I'd get to sleep before he came up, then at 2:25 I'm woken to the sounds of him snoring his head off Angry I spend the next 2hrs awake shoving him to make him stop, I was absolutely furious! Then to top it off ,after I eventually fell back to sleep I had my two teenage daughters come into me to tell me they felt ill, then dozing back off my son wakes me up to ask me where his hair gel is!! I could cry this morning I'm so tired I feel like I never slept at all last night! Now I've got to get my toddler and myself ready and be sociable for the day for a friends little girls birthday party Confused

Ahh hope all goes well with your scan slumber, don't be nervous I'm sure everything will be fine Smile
I'm looking forward to announcing this pregnancy too just so I can have a good moan and can explain to people why I look so rubbish x

FuzzyOwl · 27/04/2016 09:25

That's really thoughtless of your DH cake.

Hope things went well with the scan slumber and hope they go well for everyone else with one today.

Oh bolly nosebleeds are horrible. The only time in my life I have suffered was during pregnancy but not as badly as it sounds like you are. At least you are at home and not in work like it.

tiredmum I think you have the most appropriate username imaginable! Hope today is much more bearable that you are expecting.

CakeAndChocolate · 27/04/2016 10:16

tiredmum that sounds awful! I'm so grumpy when I'm tired. Hope you get through today somehow.

slumber hope the scan went well.

onthemetro · 27/04/2016 10:54

Eek bolly that sounds awful, I hate nosebleeds!
Tiredmum I hope you can take it easy today (after the party!)

DP and I went on a long walk yesterday because it was sunny but it started hailing so we stopped in two pubs to get out of the horrendous weather, so I had two glasses of Pepsi. That's the most I've had since I found out I was pregnant and I had horrendous, painful gas all last night

Worst thing was that I found some Rennie's in our little medicine box, gleefully popped one into my mouth but it was VILE and made me sick immediately...turns out it was quite out of date. Oops.

Paying for it today, legs hurt, feet hurt, and nausea is back with a vengeance. Pregnancy is so glamorous!

Indianacat · 27/04/2016 11:18

Hi lovely ladies - first post.
It is so hard to keep our little secret so hoping some friendly advice and chat will go down well. November due date.
Not a good day today (9w+6) - First day I've had to take off work with extreme migrane and sickness I can't keep anything down its horrendous, I have a coldsaw emerging, no sleep and.. my cat fell off the conservatory roof! Emotions are so extreme I pitifully called out my partners name and sobbed in a Halloween bucket as he left the house for work. Shout out to the mothers who are pregnant whilst caring for other children, I am finding it hard to just care for myself today. x
P.s we are very excited

almondbutter · 27/04/2016 11:27

Welcome, indiana, sorry you're having a tough day. I'm afraid the Halloween bucket made me laugh a little, though in empathy rather than anything else -- I cry constantly with zero prompting.

Pukefest here this morning though combined with telling siblings news (am 12 weeks today), which has been lovely. Also told a friend whose girlfriend has suffered an ectopic and a mc; it wasn't an easy conversation but he was amazing about it. I just wish there was more I could do for them.

CakeAndChocolate · 27/04/2016 11:58

Hi Indiana welcome. Is your cat ok? The Halloween bucket made me laugh too! It is miserable feeling so awful though, I think quite a few ladies have found weeks 9 &10 the toughest so hopefully you'll be out of the other side soon.

Bollyroo · 27/04/2016 12:06

Hi Indiana, I feel like I need to get myself a Halloween bucket now. Sounds like the perfect accompaniment to feeling crappy. Is the cat ok? I guess they always land on their feet right?

Well, things are looking up after my monstrous nosebleed. Thanks everyone. I wonder if if I've got man-flu? What those poor boys must go through...

I just spoke to my lovely mum who is so proud of herself for not spilling the beans to anyone despite knowing for a few weeks now. She's bursting to tell my dad - I really don't mind if she does - but I'm planning on emailing him the scan pictures and asking him to show them to my mum. Is that too cheeky?

Slumberparty · 27/04/2016 12:45

Thanks everyone but my scan isn't till may 6th so got a little wait yet.
Sorry, I too laughed at the Halloween bucket! Hope you feel better soon.
This last week fatigue has really set in. I wasn't really feeling it before but now I'm wondering if 7.45pm is too early to go to bed? Hmm

Hi indiana. I hope your cat is ok and glad you were able to put the Halloween bucket to good use. Smile

Hope you are feeling a little better now onthe and almond.

Canters15 · 27/04/2016 13:21

7.45 is a completely acceptable bed time when pregnant! When I'm not at work I have both morning and afternoon naps Blush
