Potato that is super creepy. Starky it's a shame when people are that pathetic.

Turns out I got a bit pink today oops! No matter how much sun cream I put on I still burn. Also freckly as fuck! Loved a bit of sun today though and hoping for a repeat tomorrow. I'm at my parents for the week doing the driving around for them as my dad has just had a rather invasive biopsy. Glad I'm getting to enjoy the nice weather with them.

StarkyTheDirewolf · 04/05/2016 23:11

She's barking bunch they split up 12 years ago. Because she was cheating on him. But I don't think she's ever forgiven him for actually leaving her when he found out about her other man. But what can you do?! Got to deal with the cards we're dealt and his cross to bear is her I think!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 04/05/2016 23:12

Hoe your dad recovers swiftly and easily *bunch Flowers

ElleSarcasmo · 05/05/2016 05:55

Potato Shock she sounds like she needs to let go!

Sorry you have got a weirdo OH ex too Starky! Do you have a date for your scan yet? Mine is the 19th, can't wait to get it over with.

Bunch hope your dad is feeling ok. They must be chuffed to have you around. It's looking promising for more sunshine today ☀️

PotatosMum · 05/05/2016 07:45

Ugh! She sounds delightful Stark

OHs ex is the opposite, she wants to be our best friend and is really nosey about our life but it's just because she's very much a keeping up with the jones's sort. She wants to make sure we don't have anything nicer than her (and if we do she has to get something better) and whenever she gets something she wants us to know about it so we can be duly envious (most of the time we couldn't care less, occasionally we think she's barking for spending so much money on something pointless). Still the level of interest in the house is making my skin crawl. I have informed OH that she is NEVER to step one toe into our new house.
She's the same over the baby always asking after her and I think I mentioned before that she's asked to babysit Shock over my dead body!

Hope your dad's ok Bunch, you're a good dutiful daughter Smile

Elle good luck for your scan on 19th. The time will fly by Smile

I'm off to the dr this morning for a hooping cough vaccine (what an exciting life I lead)
I'm going to try and walk as there's no way I can drive at the moment. Hopefully I can make it there and back. Confused

BunchOfBobs · 05/05/2016 08:03

Potato you have mentioned about the babysitting. As you said, truly barking!
Thanks for all the wishes re: Dad. He's still sleeping this morning, hoping he's not too bruised. He was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer and an mri has potentially shown a mass outside the prostate. The biopsy was to check that but it involved 40 ConfusedShock needles in his perineum. Poor guy. So far so good with the diagnosis though as long as this mass isn't being naughty he can just be monitored for the next year. I'm currently doing a great ostrich impression!

Again I can't help but notice the strange differences in nhs trusts everywhere. I'm not allowed my whooping cough vaccine until 28 weeks Hmm. It's flujabgate all over again.
*
Potato* I think jealousy is one of the worst emotions to feel and it's such a shame people feel the need to act on it. I've had friends like it and my mum has sisters like that. It's awful to think people feel that inadequate. More fool them though.

It's sunny again yay! Time to wack out the factor 30.

PotatosMum · 05/05/2016 08:16

Oh Bunch I'm sorry your dad is so poorly Sad hopefully the biopsy will come back clear and you'll be able to relax for a bit. Being an ostrich isn't necessarily a bad thing if it means that you and he can continue living your lives as normally as possible CakeChocolate

That's weird about not being able to have the jab. I was told by my midwife that the guidance had changed and you can now have it as soon as you've had your anomaly scan.

I've never really understood the need to have nicer things than everyone else. If I want something it's because I want it, I couldn't care less what other people think.

OH and I are now laying bets as to how long before the ex starts looking for a bigger, better house to buy (I think 6 months, he thinks she might last a year) We also think she's cottoned on that we intend to get married as soon as I've lost the baby weight and is intending to beat us too it if she can convince her OH Confused

OP posts:
BunchOfBobs · 05/05/2016 08:24

Thanks Potato. I decided I couldn't be stressed about it as it's not good for Pip and there's no point worrying until we know there's something to worry about.

Oh dear, here's hoping her OH doesn't go for it but how terrible for him. She should marry him because she wants to, not because her ex is getting married.
I have a cousin who only gets pregnant when another family member is. Low and behold 3 months after I make my announcement she's pregnant again. And another cousins is apparently now broody. They use kids as a fashion accessory. It's awful.

Pinklily1 · 05/05/2016 08:28

Morning ladies

Hope your dad recovers well from the biopsy Bunch.

The whooping cough vaccine is offered here from 28-34 weeks. I thought that was standard but obviously not - so much variation!

Starky and Potato, your OH's ex's both sound like fruit loops in their own way! And verging on a bit stalker-ish!

Indi, your bump is lovely! I'm sure it'll pop some more before your holidays too.

I'm excitedly awaiting the arrival of some more maternity clothes today. It's the little things I life that are exciting Smile

PotatosMum · 05/05/2016 08:34

Bunch that's awful about only getting pregnant because others have. I don't know what goes through people's minds sometimes.

I don't thing ex just wants to get married because OH is planning to... I think she also wants to have a claim on her OHs money and assets Hmm she's nice like that. Nearly bankrupted my OH when they were together and lost interest when he no longer had anything to sponge.

OP posts:
BunchOfBobs · 05/05/2016 08:36

Thanks Pink.** I love the arrival of all post!! I've bought so much maternity stuff off eBay I'm now hunting for good nursing dresses but coming up empty. I've only got one so I definitely need more.

BunchOfBobs · 05/05/2016 08:36

Oh jeez Potato she really sounds a delight!

IndiX · 05/05/2016 09:08

God these psycho ex's sound lovely....I can't really complain with my DH as we got together at 19 so I was his first proper relationship.
Re: whooping cough at my 16w appt my midwife said guidelines have now changed and they've said its more beneficial to baby to have it early. I'm 17+1 and booked in tomorrow. Strange how much the guidelines vary through the country.

Thanks for bump comments Smile i think I will start popping over the next couple of weeks. I felt more bubbly movements last night from little Beanie too.

shelbTa · 05/05/2016 11:07

Morning ladies

Sorry to read about your dad bunch, hope he feels better soon. My dad has a prostate op recently after dodgy cells too. Hope yours recovers well.

Hi everyone! Trying to catch up.

God I'm tired today, and nauseaous. How's your sickness today pink?

Does anyone know when you have the diabetes test?

X

shelbTa · 05/05/2016 11:09

Oh - indi your bump looks enviably ace! X

PotatosMum · 05/05/2016 11:50

Shelb my diabetes test is at around 28 weeks.

Indi whooping cough vaccine really stings and apparently causes flu like symptoms... Joy Hmm

I managed to walk to the dr's today. The usual 15 minute walk took me closer to an hour but I waked it Grin

OP posts:
BunchOfBobs · 05/05/2016 14:23

Again such strange nhsness. I had a gd test early due to sugar in my dip test. I asked would I have another and apparently in Wales they don't even routinely do it. So no more enforced fasting for me. Also I was told whooping cough jab would hurt more than flu jab but I'd get no side affects as its not a live virus. Why can't they all sing from the same hymn sheet?

I definitely have water retention. Full on moon face today, feet are huge and I swear even my legs have swollen. My dad even said " you have got swollen all over but proportionally so" bless him trying to be sweet with his "proportionally". Had to buy bigger underwear today due to my arse outgrowing all my knickers. Joys.

I'm having to go home a day early as I phoned the gp to get an appointment regarding heart palpatations and they want to see me tomorrow morning. I tried to convince him a phone consult was surely fine but he was having none of it. Pfft. Dads doing really well though and is in more pain from the catheter yesterday than the actual biopsy site. I keep hearing such delights of "I swear they hung me up by me japs eye" or "Ooh me nads". (Liverpool so it's me not my) Not usually sentences you want to hear from your father.

I'm back in the sun again with a higher factor on than yesterday. Pip is enjoying the basking and dancing away. Anyone else enjoying the sun?

Well done on the walk Potato from what I remember you have a hill to negotiate too don't you?

PotatosMum · 05/05/2016 14:49

Glad your dads doing ok apart from his... Err... Discomfort, Bunch. It's a shame you have to go home early though.

I've had some worrying news today. My buyer hasn't applied to the housing association (stupid EA didn't tell her to) to buy my shares in the flat. If she's turned down she won't be allowed to buy and unless we can find a new buyer immediately we'll lose the house we're buying.
Really worried as I'll be devastated if we lose our little house now Sad

OP posts:
BunchOfBobs · 05/05/2016 15:03

Oh no Potato. Can you not get the EA to chase up the Housing association as its their fault for not telling them?

Fx it all gets sorted and is fine. The worry must be horrid.

LillianFullStop · 05/05/2016 15:09

Hi all just checking in after getting back from holidays - fed the little nugget lots of pasta and pizza and it was just the right encouragement to make my belly start to pop out - 16 week appointment next week I hope they try to listen to the heartbeat!

Anyone feel more stretching pains at 16 weeks? Had it quite a bit at 8-12 weeks but it stopped until now. Hoping it just means a growing bump and nothing to worry about. I'm having to unbutton jeans after a meal now I think I may need new work clothes soon!

PotatosMum · 05/05/2016 15:17

lillian you'll probably get stretching pains fairly frequently from now on. I've got awful ones this week, sometimes it's just aches, other times it feels like my lower portions are going to fall off Confused

Bunch HA and EA are on it now but it's terribly worrying. We're just going to have to continue as if everything is ok and hope for the best.
When we first found this house we both liked it but weren't crazy about it but now with all the planning and thinking about it we've completely fallen in love so to lose it now would be awful Sad

firstgo1984 · 05/05/2016 16:48

The guidance on whooping cough vaccine timing has literally only just changed, so don't be surprised if some areas are a little slow to catch up.
Point your GP/midwife here if needed:

Quite proud of my midwife for being on the ball Wink

OP posts:
LillianFullStop · 05/05/2016 17:57

Thanks potato that's reassuring! I know what you mean about the lower half I feel like there is more pressure or weight there lately. Such an odd feeling!

Hope the HA and EA can get their act together sharpish so you don't have to keep worrying!

shelbTa · 05/05/2016 18:25

Hi
