Lovely scans!!! Huge ThanksChocolateCake for you all!

Bunch we are the boy minority... Just as we were the total MS avoidance minority too!

Am 19+5 today and have really noticed movement over thr last few days. Have had the odd flutter and pokes for a couple of weeks if I am sat quiet and concentrate but last few days he seems to go for odd 20 ish mins of noticable activity every few hours!

LillianFullStop · 15/04/2016 16:53

Hello happy scan from my little bee too! We got a few royal waves Smile bub was lazy and liked being curled up even with some prodding but measurements look good at 1.4 now just waiting for blood test results.

So relieved!! You must be too lara

Glad for all the other happy scans today too!

Soooo many happy scans today. Hope you ladies can enjoy pregnancy now safe in the knowledge that little ones are doing fab!

We took our mums out for lunch today (I couldn't stomach anything other than a cuppa and half a sandwich, been a rough day!) ended up in mothercare and decided on the bugaboo cameleon classic as we're so lucky that our parents have offered to pay half each for it. It's exactly what we're looking for and ideal for all terrains (will be walking about 6 mile a day with a nutty labrador) but was just well out of our price range so I'm so over the moon and grateful we can now get the one we want!

Pinklily1 · 15/04/2016 18:12

Finally caught up on today's development!

Wonderful scan photos Lilian, Lara, Potato and Shelb! Glad all is well with your little ones.

Bunch, that's an impressive bruise!

Miley, with the bugaboo, the Buffalo is all terrain, and you can apparently get buffalo wheels for the chameleon too, so if you decided to go super off road there is that additional option of swapping the tyres at some point. I LOVE the chameleon, it was top of our list, but then we decided we want one you can convert to a two child pram, and unfortunately the bugaboo donkey is the only bugaboo option and its huge!

leoniethelioness · 15/04/2016 18:29

Congratulations on all the happy scan news xxx

StarkyTheDirewolf · 15/04/2016 19:10

I can't wait to get the 12 week scan out of the way so I can tell my DM and then I can ask her what it was like being pregnant with me and dsis!

Lovely scan news all round!

Mileymoocow · 15/04/2016 19:29

Thanks pink Smile We looked at the buffalo too, but saw you could get the hardy tyres for an extra £50! I'm hoping baby number 1 will be old enough to be walking properly and not need a pushchair to rest in when number 2 comes (if I'm brave enough! 80% chance of recurring HG doesn't sound pleasant)! That's the plan anyway, but nothing seems to go to plan for us haha.

Pinklily1 · 15/04/2016 19:50

Fingers crossed Miley that you've had more than your fair share of sickness this time round and you'll escape it next time!!

Newmrs22 · 15/04/2016 20:45

Ahh beautiful babies! Congratulations everyone!
I'm now sort of wishing I knew which team I'm on!

Feefeefs · 15/04/2016 20:57

Glad you're feeling better miley!

I'm a bit stressed out 6+3 now and woke up last night in agony like a really bad cramp lower abdomen but constant. Lasted around 5minutes and then just faded sore now almost lost like a sore muscle after the gym. No bleeding whatsoever. Vaginal discharge ongoing just white enough to mark knickers.

Any one have anything like this?

IndiX · 15/04/2016 21:17

Congratulations everyone for the scans, they're so lovely.
Feefs yes I had lots of cramping around that time, just everything stretching apparently. I still get the odd pain now.
I'm so excited for my scan next Thursday, I'm having an early gender scan I'll be 15+1 ( where I live they don't allow you the option of finding out the sex at the 20week scan) I always wanted to know whether it'll be a pink or blue baby so may aswell get it done early. The sonographer we are going to has 20 years experience and 100% success even as early as 15 weeks! Me and DH are beyond excited! Especially after seeing all your scans today Grin

Feefeefs · 15/04/2016 21:24

Thanks indi!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 15/04/2016 22:02

feef I'm 8+1 and still occasionally cramping with soggy fanny. I just have to keep reminding myself that it's probably nothing to worry about and there's nothing I can do if there is something wrong. I keep getting stabby pains in the sort of side of my tummy, and like trapped muscle/nerve pain there too. But my biggest issue at the minute is the headaches!

Indi that's ace about your early scan! How exciting!

Feefeefs · 15/04/2016 22:33

Thanks starky my headaches come and go as does the nausea. The tummy cramps and overwhelming exhaustion is the worst for me!! Can't believe how slowly time is movingShock

IrregularCommentary · 15/04/2016 22:35

Miley There's a fab offer on the Cameleon here www.discountbabyequip.co.uk/bugaboo-cameleon-3-classic-sand.ir?src=froogle&gclid=CjwKEAjw_7y4BRDykp3Hjqyt_y0SJACome3TuDnQqTHq5QpByJufSiYXaad0idrDMBuAMw-Db9YmWRoCZunw_wcB

I've just taken delivery of my Uppababy Vista from the same place today and have been really impressed with them.

PotatosMum · 16/04/2016 07:36

Morning ladies Smile how are you all today?
Potato appears to have decided that 5am is when I should wake up... I've now given up arguing Hmm

Ouch! Bunch that bruise looks a bit evil. I wouldn't be letting a student near me again if I were you Confused

Pink I was convinced potato was a boy too but hey ho! OH was a bit disappointed but I'm seeing it as fate. We could only agree on one name and that was a girls name, we spent hours discussing boys names and hated pretty much all of them, so it was meant to be Smile

Lillian congrats on your lovely scan. Hopefully you can relax and enjoy being pregnant for a bit now Smile

Stark your 12 week scan will come around quicker than you think.

Lol New, we'll have to have team blue, pink and vanilla (for those who don't know/aren't finding out/are keeping it a secret). Vanilla and blue are currently in a tie!

Feef your crap sounds like growing pains. You'll get a lovely assortment of them over the next few weeks Confused

Good luck with your gender scan next week Indi, are you going to tell people the flavour or keep it to yourselves?

We're off to our mortgage appointment today. OH hates looking at finances so he'll mostly be there as decoration Grin annoyingly the estate agent still haven't got my flat online and started marketing it Angry I'm really cross as we're supposed to be having a open house next weekend but they've taken over a week to get their asses in gear. I made it really clear how much of a rush we were in and annoyingly we've seen the perfect house but don't feel we can go view it because we now don't trust them to find a buyer quickly enough for us to make an offer.
We've also got the kids this weekend so I don't feel I can do the excitable baby shopping that I want to do. The kids are lovely but DSD drives me mad when we go to baby shops as she sees the baby as a doll and wants us to buy lots of very impractical and expensive things that I have no intention of getting and DSS is a teenager and going through the "everything is rubbish" and "I know everything about everything" stage Confused

Morning ladies,

Potato - I think deep down my oh was a little disappointed it was team pink too, but he said it was only marginal.

How is everyone?

I've been up all night with tummy cramps.

X

IndiX · 16/04/2016 08:12

Morning everyone,
Bean has been waking me up between 3/4am most days and I can't get back to sleep for hours. My alarm has just gone off for the gym ( I know, I'm mad) and I feel like turning over and getting more sleep. Has anyone else heard that if you wake in the night that's when baby will be waking for night feeds? I hope it's not true.
Potato that is so annoying, I'd be very cross at the estate agent too. Are you going to get in touch with them? Hope it's resolved quickly. Also there's always online shopping that DSC can't interfere with Grin
Oh and yes we are going to keep the sex a secret for a while I think, we may announce it later on in the pregnancy as I don't know if I can hold my tongue for that long.
It's interesting that you and shelb say your DH's are slightly disappointed, would you have been disappointed if it was the lenses way round and baby was a boy? As much as I'm convincing myself that Bean is a boy I don't know if that's to stop myself getting too excited if it's a girl. Ultimately I just want Bean to be healthy and happy but I've always imagined myself with a girl ( I'm very much a girlie girl), although I know I would absolutely adore pink or blue.

Pinklily1 · 16/04/2016 08:43

Morning ladies

Hope you are feeling ok now Shelb?

I am really struggling to sleep at the minute as I keep waking up on my back and panicking that I shouldn't be lying like that!

Indi, I was keeping my fingers crossed for a girl. Mainly because my sister has all boys so a little girl would be nice to mix things up a bit. I thought OH would want a boy but he confessed before the scan that he was hoping for a girl too. We were both really happy when we found out we are Team Pink but I was so scared during the scan that it made me realise I would have been just as happy with a little boy, as long as all was well and baby was healthy and happy. The only issue for us is we would have really struggled with boys names!

Mileymoocow · 16/04/2016 08:52

irregular thanks for that link! It's rare you see a discount on bugaboo so that's brilliant!

indi my OH wants one if each but says he'd rather have 2 boys than 2 girls so he doesn't have to deal with hormones and tantrums haha!

Planeteer · 16/04/2016 09:18

Morning all

Sorry to hear some of you are being kept awake by the beans. Indi serious kudos if you made it to the gym, I would definitely have rolled over and snoozed!

Potato definitely call and put pressure on the estate agents. We've had to do the same this week as after a few days with several viewings they just seemed to dry up. Funnily enough after I phoned and asked lots of questions and put my stern headmistress voice on we've had another flurry of people through the doors. Still no offers though, and we lost the house we wanted to buy as she had another offer from someone able to move more quickly. Gah! Really hope we both find buyers soon!

I'm off to the baby and toddler show today for some serious recon and research. DH is adamant that we won't be buying anything but I reckon he might cave if there are bargains to be had. 14 weeks today and into the 2nd trimester. Feels like a little milestone!

Happy Saturday, and sorry for the essay Blush

Pyxie · 16/04/2016 09:40

Morning all,

So happy to see all of the lovely scan pictures yesterday!

I had my booking in appointment yesterday, bit of a wimp about getting my blood taken but it was fine! And I got my dating scan date for 25th April - only 9 days to go, can't wait!

Sorry a few of you are having trouble sleeping. I've also been waking in the night for about 2 hours, this morning it was around 4.30 - 6.30am, so glad it's Saturday and I can have a lazy morning!

PotatosMum · 16/04/2016 09:56

Shelb my OH did say he was only slightly disappointed too. He would have slightly preferred a boy but that may be partially because DSS was a very, very easy baby while DSD was a nightmare.

indi no, I don't think I would have been disappointed with a boy, but I do think I was convincing myself that it would be a boy because I knew that was OHs preference.
To be honest I have always thought I'd have a girl, not to sound too woo (as I don't usually do woo) but my grandmother was very good at reading cards, only ever did one reading for me but everything she said has come true including that I'm having a girl, in my late teens I had one professional reading, again lot has come true and said I'd have a girl and the last reading I had was in my early 20s and she near enough repeated everything my grandmother had predicted including that I'd only have one child and it would be a girl... She also said it would be a very contented baby/child so I hope she got that bit right! Lol

Enjoy the baby show Planet Smile

We're going into the estate agent to speak to the mortgage advisor today so I'm planning to make a fuss in person. I want my bloody flat sold now so that I can get on with looking.

OH is feeling grumpy today and not at all in the mood for house or baby stuff.

OP posts:
Mileymoocow · 16/04/2016 10:02

potato go shopping alone, grumpy OHs are the perfect excuse to go shopping! Mine is in nightshift all weekend so I'm going to do some maternity shopping because I'm starting to get much more rotund by the day. Sickness is back, tablets aren't working anymore. Joy!

I haven't heard that about whenever you wake up is the time baby will wake during the night indi but I hope that is the case! I very rarely have to get up during the night.

IrregularCommentary · 16/04/2016 10:50

Not sure how early you can translate it into newborn behaviour Indi but my friend told me that during late pregnancy her dd would have days of being very active and kicky and then a day of being so still she'd end up calling the hospital. Once dd was born, she had days where she utterly refused to nap all day, usually followed by a day when she'd sleep almost constantly, so that was definitely a pattern that stayed once she was born.

Don't think there was any correlation with getting up in the night though. Friend had late pregnancy insomnia but dd slept through from about 6 weeks.
