Thinking of you flash. Hope you have a speedy recovery and hope you're being well looked aftee

IndiX · 01/05/2016 10:11

Flash look after yourself Flowers

Peaches I know it's the thing you don't want to hear but try not to worry. If your cervix is closed that's a good sign, a lot of us here have had some sort of bleeding I think it's a lot more normal than people make out. Take care of yourself and try to relax

PotatosMum · 01/05/2016 10:27

Flash it sucks you have to have an op but good news that your fertility won't be effected. Hopefully you'll have a quick recovery and be well enough to try again soon x

How are the rest of you ladies this morning?

I managed to go all night without pain killers. I'm in pain but I can bare it (just about)

Had a bit of a hormonal outburst at OH last night about him never wanting to get Potato anything. I think it's because we discuss what we want to do in every room of the new house and what we'll buy for DSS and DSD's rooms but the moment I mention Potato's room he loses interest. Same with buying the DSC stuff, happy to do that but when I buy Potato stuff I'm told not to go overboard. Hmm
Anyway, no longer being mental but still feeling irrationally irritated that OH is taking DSD out to build a bear so she can have a bear for the new house she already has about five but won't get Potato one for her nursery because it's too expensive. Hmm

Morning ladies. Had quite a lot of fresh blood during the night just as I thought it had stopped. shelb im glasgow. Have tried private places but most are closed due to holiday the couple that are opened tomorrow are fully booked!

indi thanks, I just wish I could be scanned and told one way or another. Lying on the couch thinking positive thoughts.

potato do you think maybe he's just nervous and a bit scared with the pain you've had etc...? Men are strange creatures sometimes.

IndiX · 01/05/2016 11:08

Potato maybe it doesn't feel real to OH yet? Or he's concerned about your pain? I would feel the same as you and I'm sure hormones don't help, maybe say to him you feel he is pushing little Potato to the side and you want him to be as excited as you are. He may just feel that you should buy stuff closer to the due date and not spend too much money right now? Hope you get it sorted, men are strange creatures and not the most communicative.

PotatosMum · 01/05/2016 11:13

Peaches I'm sorry you're going through this stress. You've done everything you can, I think you'll just have to go back to the hospital on Tuesday.

I think it's probably because Potato isn't a "Real" person to him yet.
And I'm quite sure that my experiences as a child are making me very over sensitive. I spent most of my childhood feeling unwanted and being told how much better my siblings were than me and why couldn't I be more like XYZ and watching them be treated to things and given things that I wasn't. I don't want Potato to ever feel even a little bit like that so seeing OH spending lots of money on his kids for no particular reason but not wanting to spend money on Potato when she doesn't even have all the basics she needs yet makes me anxious when I have no real reason to be. I'm certain OH will be just as generous with Potato as he is with his other two once she's here.

Hi everyone,

Hugs to flash and peaches - thinking of you both. Hoping the scan shows good news peaches. Lots of us had bleeding early on and it's a really good sign your cervix was closed.

Have you made up with OH yet shelb?

potato I'm sure as you say, he'll be just as generous once potato is here.

I've been feeling definite movements over last few days and DH felt it for the first time last night which was a really lovely moment Grin

Just at the airport now ready to fly off to southern Italy - can't wait! I may not have much reception / wifi but will check in when I can.

Waves to everyone xx

Feefeefs · 01/05/2016 13:16

So sorry to here about your weekend peaches that's rubbish about the scan. Hope you get something on Tuesday to set your mind at ease. Thinking of you.

Feefeefs · 01/05/2016 13:17

So sorry to here about your op flash hope you're feeling on the mend.

Congratulations ktt

IndiX · 01/05/2016 14:35

Soda enjoy your trip! And lovely that you've been feeling more movements.
Potato I'm sure OH will be very generous when your little potato gets here and you have nothing to worry about. As you say you are probably just a bit more sensitive because of you're own background.

Anyone doing anything nice today? I have been SO lazy, I woke up at 7am but stayed in bed til 12 with DH. Then I went to get up and get ready to go for lunch and started crying because my eyes were stinging and I was tired (hormones are up the wall today). Had a good hour nap and feel so much better so going to take the dogs to the beach and get a hot chocolate. When I'm that tired I always think Bean must be doing something very important today.
Anyway hope you all have a lovely Sunday Smile

Mileymoocow · 01/05/2016 15:33

indi I'm still in bed now! Blush I've been exhausted for a couple of days and I'm having a terrible day with sickness today, too. Keeping nothing down and giving myself a headache through dehydration/vomiting..

soda have a lovely time! Sounds like heaven right now! Smile

potato I think I'd be a bit miffed too! Men can be a little insensitive can't they.

peaches sorry to hear your bank holiday weekend isn't going so well. I do think everything will be absolutely fine, I bled twice and know a few others did, too. Everything crossed for you

Nevlet · 01/05/2016 16:44

The highlight of our day apart from lovely weather at last was the dog deciding to explore the concrete OH was laying in the garden and getting covered up to his belly... And then trying to clean him up. Was akin to wrestling a wet seal. Very funny though!

Nevlet · 01/05/2016 16:45

He is recovering from the trauma haha

Mileymoocow · 01/05/2016 17:11

Aww poor nevdoggy!! Definitely something mine would do!

Nevlet · 01/05/2016 17:13

He was far more bothered that his little swim in concrete meant he had to be shut indoors!

Laurenrl · 01/05/2016 17:27

Haha nev! So cute

Sunday bump day picture!

Pinklily1 · 01/05/2016 18:53

Looking good Lauren! How many weeks are you now?

Flowers Peaches, hope the bleeding has settled down, and roll on Tuesday for you.

Hope everyone else is ok.

Mileymoocow · 01/05/2016 19:18

OH ordering an Indians. How cruel! My favourite takeaway and I can't bare to face one myself Sad

My dad has been shopping today. Think he's bought the entirety of babies r us. I honestly have no idea where everything will go! Ah the first grandchild...

Baby bean is having an awkward day today. Hoping beyond all hope it's a 1 day only thing, and it doesn't drag out for days. I really don't want to end up back in hospital.

Planeteer · 01/05/2016 19:21

Finally catching up. Flash I'm so sorry to hear your news. Hope you're being gentle with yourself and that you can have some peaceful and relaxing time with your OH while you recover. Thinking of you lots!

Peaches how are you doing? Flowers So frustrated for you re bank hol closing, but keeping everything crossed that a scan on Tuesday will show all's ok.

Miley what a total pita that sick days happen on bank holiday weekends. Bastard digestive system! Hope you've got some good Netflix and snoozing time ahead.

Indi and Danni hurrah for a pink and a blue! I wonder what the overall boy/girl split in the group will be...

Loving the bump pictures, mine has popped in the last week or so, and had the first few tummy rubs (weird!) at the wedding I was at yesterday. Surprised myself by managing to stay on the dance floor til gone midnight but am not half paying for it today! So sore! Pancake obviously punishing me for my terrible dance moves!

Laurenrl · 01/05/2016 20:08

I'm 18+3 pink it's appeared almost from nowhere this week!

Glad you had a great time at the wedding planet!

Hope you feel better soon Miley you've had such an awful time! At least you have lots of baby gifts to cheer you up!

leoniethelioness · 01/05/2016 20:44

Lauren My bump is the same! It's just appeared from nowhere.

My Seraphine dress (which I have worn/washed twice) has gone bobbly in places. I was counting on it to be part of my work wardrobe until August! My Red Herring dress is now too short to wear with tights to work so is relegated to weekend wear with leggings. My other Seraphine dress is identical to the bobbled one but green instead of black so I'm afraid it'll suffer the same fate.

Please tell me where I can buy some smart clothes! I have a black cardigan and skirt from Jo Jo Maman Bebe so need some tops... Arghhhhh.

Being pregnant is so expensive and for some reason barely any shops actually stop maternity wear!

leoniethelioness · 01/05/2016 20:45

*Stock, not stop. Baby brain.

Pinklily1 · 01/05/2016 20:45

Hope you feel better soon Miley! Flowers

Pinklily1 · 01/05/2016 22:22

Leonie, I'd send the Seraphine one back if I were you. I've bought two that I haven't worn yet, so I hope they don't go the same way!

Other options - ASOS, Isabella Oliver, Topshop maternity.... ASOS are reasonably priced.

That's a lovely bump for 18+3 Lauren.

shelbTa · 02/05/2016 08:12

Morning everyone!

Trying to catch up on yesterday.

Leonie - I've bought most of my mat stuff from Dorothy Perkins and new look - pretty cheap stuff but hoping it will see me through. Workwear is the hardest I'm finding though.

Ravenous this morning.
