I'll take a look at those options. My Leigh jeans from Topshop are lovely - didn't think to see what else they sell!

Will be browsing tonight for some new pieces to buy after pay day / when I get desperate.

Co5mo · 02/05/2016 08:31

H&m had a few bits of workwear. If you can get away with a shirt dress New Look website has a black striped one on clearance in most sizes for £10. Workwear is giving me a headache too. It's not too bad at the moment having made some adjustments to some old clothes that don't show beneath my open suit jackets but what I'll do when I'm bigger. I'm dreading a summer heatwave. I've no idea what I'll wear to work then.

IndiX · 02/05/2016 08:32

Leonie would you recommend the Leigh jeans. My size 10 river island jeans are starting to get snug now and think I'll only be able to get another week, at the most, out of them. I have quite big bum and my thighs are quite muscly and chunky..have they got a bit of stretch in the denim?

Pinklily1 · 02/05/2016 09:15

Indi, the Leigh jeans are fab. I wear them normally as my non-pregnancy jeans and they are the most comfortable maternity ones I've found too. I just bought the same size as pre-pregnancy. They are classed as ankle grazers so they are on the shorter side.

I've also got some under the bump Joni jeans from Topshop which are also comfortable, although I have to pull those up more than my over the bump Leigh ones.

Planeteer · 02/05/2016 09:40

Another vote for over the bump Leigh jeans, so comfy and they hold their shape much better than the h&m equivalent IMO.

IndiX · 02/05/2016 10:57

Oh I might have look at them pink and planet, I'm 5'9 though so don't know if they'll be a bit too short.. I bought some white under bump from Asos and they are ok but not the most flattering shape I don't think. Do you think under bump or over bump are best? I haven't got a bump atm so don't know what to buy

Pinklily1 · 02/05/2016 11:01

I'm 5"7 Indi and got length 32. They sit above my ankle bone. They also do them in 34 length so they might work for you.

I think over the bump are better as you get bigger.

BunchOfBobs · 02/05/2016 11:02

Ooh lots of chat this weekend.

Indi I find over bump stay up easier than under bump. I'm fast growing out of all of mine though Sad

IndiX · 02/05/2016 11:35

Oh perfect pink I'll get the 34 then. Thank you!
Bunch yeah my normal jeans are getting tighter by the day!

PotatosMum · 02/05/2016 12:31

Jealous, I have to wear size 18 at the mo and they don't make them that big Sad

Out of the house for the first time. I think I'm going to regret it later but have found a winter coat for potato in the mamas and papas sale for £20 so I'm happy Smile

We are emptying third bedroom to start the nursery. So many random finds under the bed... Best one has to be a single desert bowl from my parents wedding set from 30 years ago. HOW that got under there I will never know. Infact how it even got in our house is a mystery.

BunchOfBobs · 02/05/2016 13:12

Nev I love when things like that happen. Usually finding stuff that you've thought lost.

Thought you ladies may appreciate this. Just put up a soap holder to save me bending down in the shower all the time. DH points out how the fixings look like my areola and nips...... Nice!

shelbTa · 02/05/2016 15:49

Ace bunch, I need one of those. And hear that with the nips!

Settle this argument for me ladies - at 23 weeks, how many months pregnant are you??

X

Co5mo · 02/05/2016 16:08

5, nearly 6 months.

PotatosMum · 02/05/2016 16:28

Hello ladies!

Loving the nipple rack Nev

Shelb according to the diagram below you're 6 months.

So OH and I bought Potato's cot today Grin we were going round lots of shops looking at them but they're so blinking expensive and the cheaper ones didn't seem very sturdy to me. In the end though we found a lovely one in toys'r'us of all places for £180! Total bargain. It's a lovely cream colour I've got a pine wardrobe and I'm going to buy a pine chest of draws to go with it and paint them both to match.
Feeling very excited Smile

Shelb, if you are working on the basis that there are 4 weeks in every month, then you would be 6 months pregnant at 24 weeks, so you would currently be 5 months + 3 weeks pregnant. However, there aren't 4 weeks in every month of the year, so I think of 6 months as 26 weeks (i.e. half a year). So I'd say at 22 weeks you are 5 months, and at 23 weeks you are 5 months + 1 week.

If you went by there being 4 weeks in every month, given pregnancy is 40 weeks long, you would be 10 months pregnant by the end.

Mileymoocow · 02/05/2016 20:05

I second pink! I don't work in months cause it's so bloody confusing.

Finally back to work tomorrow and I'm over the moon! I'm still bad but I think I can manage spewing a few times a day at work. Need to remember to take plenty stuff to graze on and to have my daily cuppa aroind lunchtime so I can make it through the afternoon! Far too used to afternoon nap now.

Pinklily1 · 02/05/2016 21:00

Good luck tomorrow Miley, and take it easy!

shelbTa · 02/05/2016 22:19

Thanks ladies.

Good luck tomorrow miley!

Cot sounds nice potato

I may have just cases one of my FB friends to I friend me oops she doesn't want children never has, never will. I respect that as it's her choice but she's also always posting stupid articles on FB about how unfair it is that parents get maternity leave and greater flexibility at work so that they can do things like look after their child when sick.
Just now I cracked when she posted an article about how intelligent people choose not to have children. I just thought, how dare you demand everyone respect you're right to not have children but think it's funny to post insulting goady shit like that. I posted something to that effect... I should obviously not be allowed on FB when tired, in pain and hormonal! Confused
The annoying thing is I do have quite a few friends who have chosen not to have children and they are all very vocal about how people should respect this choice but also often very rude about people who do have children... Is it just me who attracts these nutters or have any of you noticed the same behaviour?

Morning all, how are you all doing today?

I gave the Dr a call this morning to get my sick note extended. A particular Dr told me it would be fine to do over the phone as she would be thorough with notes and it's a known condition that I'm being treated for. Cue officious receptionist who first informed me that they wouldn't give me a sick note until the old one runs out (well they have before) then insisted on looking at my notes (how exactly are they any of her business) and then refused to put in a Dr call back request as has been done before and instead insisted I wait for a call from the triage nurse even though I told her there's no way I can go to the surgery (that would finish me off)

I can't decide whether I'm getting grumpier because I'm in pain or whether everyone is trying to make me grumpy Confused

Potato maybe it will make her realise what an idiot she's being?! Hopefully you won't be the only one to make that kind of comment. I haven't spotted any idiots on my FB (of that type anyway) but I would have to say something as well!

Miley hope it goes well today 🍀

shelbTa · 03/05/2016 08:19

Morning!

Another two pounds on overnight, mint.

Potato - I do have some friends who are reasonably vocal about not wanting kids, but not as vocal as what you've described! Can you unfriend them?

I get iron results today, keen to hear what they say.

Waves to everyone!

Pinklily1 · 03/05/2016 08:25

Morning ladies

Hope all goes ok for you today Peaches Flowers

I haven't weighed myself for a few weeks but know I just have put more on - we didn't have a healthy weekend food wise! I'll definitely be growing out of my non-mat work clothes soon, they are getting a bit restrictive!

23 weeks today and apparently baby is the length of a Barbie doll!

For those doing pelvic floor exercises, how long are you doing them for each time, or how many are you doing? Im trying to be good with them but I find them hard work!

PotatosMum · 03/05/2016 08:31

Elle sadly no, everyone else just relied that it's just a joke / it's tongue in cheek.

Shelb I am contemplating unfriending. I think I'm getting really grumpy in my old age lol.
Good luck with the iron results.

Pink I've packed my scales already... I can see how fat I am, I don't need a little dial to tell me Wink

I keep forgetting to do pelvic floor exercises... No doubt I'll regret it later Hmm
