Congratulations indi and danni a team pink and a team blue on the same day! Lovely lovely news! 🍼🎀🎂👑🎁🐛🐙

Pinklily1 · 28/04/2016 18:19

Woo hoo Indi!! Welcome to Team Pink!! Did little one behave and stay still for all the checks?

Hi May and welcome! I don't usually get AF cramps but for me, cramps were one of the first hints that I might be pregnant.

Good luck with the can tomorrow flash.

Roll on 12 week scan Starky. I held out for my scan at 13+1 and the weight almost killed me (patience is not my strong point!)

For any ladies in need of maternity clothes, there is 20% off at Seraphine online this weekend.

Potato, is the pain easing at all? Presumably they are going to keep monitoring you?

Bunch, does anything help your pelvic pain?

Shelb, I'd have that shandy if I were you!

Who is next for their 20 week scans?

IndiX · 28/04/2016 18:26

Congratulations Dani!

No she's a little madam already and wouldnt get in the right positions for ages, she eventually got checked over and everything is great and she's doing fine. I'll know more at my 20w scan, I'm only 16w now. We got a few nice scan pics but she wasn't really staying still, must not have been in the mood for photos today! Grin I'm so happy, I'm on a high

BunchOfBobs · 28/04/2016 18:27

Congrats Indi. Hope you've had a lovely day letting everyone know Smile

IndiX · 28/04/2016 18:34

Thanks everyone! By the way don't read too much in to the heart beat prediction method..load of rubbish as my little Beanie would've been a boy

BunchOfBobs · 28/04/2016 18:58

Pink only paracetamol seems to dull it, I can move without crying out at the pain but it still hurts. I've only just caved and taken some due to getting down and upset about it. Next Physio appointment in 2 weeks. Exercises not working.
Little shit of a beagle just stole my kit Kat wrapper and I couldn't even get up in time to stop him. Well played dog, well played!

Laurenrl · 28/04/2016 19:03

Congrats indi! Your pink blanket will come into good use now!!

Also welcome may sorry I missed that out in my last post!!

Starkey I was a bit like that until 12 weeks I just couldn't let myself get too excited, I did relax after so hopefully you will too!

bunch I got ill in September time, my alt was about 600, it's been going down ever since and was 200 by Christmas. Am now about 65 which is only double normal so they've stopped monitoring me fortnightly and had no itching so they discharged me and I'm now back to usual midwife led care instead of consultancy led, but I do have blood tests at each appointment to monitor.

BunchOfBobs · 28/04/2016 19:07

What the actual?! Lauren. My alt was 38 and I'm on weekly blood tests, why are my midwives hospital being so insane? Gah. I'm assuming it's the itching that went with it but really, I'm 3 over the "normal" for pregnancy levels!!

Glad to hear you've been discharged and hope I join you soon.

Sodasoda · 28/04/2016 19:43

Welcome may!

Congrats on the boy danni and the girl indi

lauren I'm impressed you've held out! I started wearing my badge really early as I NEEDED a seat, I felt awful. Now I dont need a seat but I WANT one so wear a badge anyway Smile Usually the women that offer me a seat I find, the men pretend to ignore me.

So tonight I went for a bikini wax in preparation for my hols. I decided to go pretty intimate (I have previously and don't usually find if that painful) as I thought it would be nice and an opportunity for DH and I to 'enjoy' hols. OM FUCKING G, it actually KILLED! Waxing lady was like 'yeah, you're 3 times more sensitive when you're pregnant.' Never mind DH coming near me, I'm sat with a bag of frozen peas on my fanny!!

shelb - go for it! I'd have a vodka if I could after tonight! Wink I'm drinking a lot of becks blue at the moment - it's really nice and tastes very like normal becks so if you want a regular guilt free drink, go for it!

Beat me to it with the seraphine code pink Smile

Good luck for scan tomorrow flash

PotatosMum · 28/04/2016 19:49

Lauren loveing the badge

shelb as long as it's a one off I'm sure a shandy is perfectly fine Wink

Bunch no to the sucky pelvic pain Sad

Stark as others have said, enjoy the short reprieve in night peeing... Last time I paid attention I was up to 4 or 5 times a night for me Shock

Flash good luck for tomorrow's scan Smile

Soda, that is not good news! I was planning on a wax pre-holiday and then pre-birth. I've not had one for about a year as have just been shaving, but I hadn't even thought it would be more painful than before Hmm

PotatosMum · 28/04/2016 20:05

... Posted too soon

lara woohoo for second trimester.

Stark your will power with testing was so remarkable that I'm not in the least surprised you're holding out for your 12 week scan Grin

Indi yay! Welcome to team pink!!!

Sorry Danni I missed you while I was in pain induced haze. Congrats on team blue Grin

Pink the pain is now manageable. I can get in and out of bed without help 9 times out of 10 and I even managed to sit up for a bit today Smile
I've got an abdominal scan on Saturday then a growth scan in 5 weeks. I've also got a midwife appointment in a couple of weeks so they're keeping a close eye on me. Unfortunately I found out that I may not be out of the woods yet as with a fibroid the size of mine this could happen again Shock

Bunch have you tried a cold pack? It helps me a little although I'm sure it's a different type of pain.

Soda I'm sorry but your bikini wax story made me lol

Sodasoda · 28/04/2016 20:23

I'm glad I could help potato Wink

pink the waxing lady advised me if I was planning on going again to go first thing in the morning rather than after work 'when I was already tired and swollen'. And take something to bite on!!!! Good luck and God speed Smile

Pinklily1 · 28/04/2016 20:36

Something to bite on?! Oh. Dear. God.

Off to buy some hair removal cream instead Wink

Laurenrl · 28/04/2016 20:50

Late response shelb however I have also been craving shandy which is weird cos I hate beer. These have been my saviour (0.5% volume)

Canters15 · 28/04/2016 21:02

Poor soda, I too am lolling- bag of peas on the fanny! Hehehehe.

Congrats on the pink and blue bumps!

My morning sickness has come back and I feel like shit.

shelbTa · 28/04/2016 21:47

Lauren where do you buy those from?!? X

Laurenrl · 28/04/2016 22:05

Just my corner shop shelb but looks like tesco does them toom.tesco.com/h5/groceries/r/www.tesco.com/groceries/product/details/?id=254660318

ElleSarcasmo · 29/04/2016 08:11

Sorry I missed you Danni, congrats on the blue bump! Flowers

Lara hopefully the ms is just messing with you and you will start to feel better soon.

Pinklily1 · 29/04/2016 08:18

Congratulations on Team Blue Danii! You snuck that one into your post Smile

That must even our Team Blue and Team Pink a little bit! I'm still surprised none of us have got twins cooking given how many of us there are now!

BunchOfBobs · 29/04/2016 08:27

Sorry Danii I also missed you. Yay team
Blue.

Pink I was just thinking the same thing,
Someone must be cooking double helpings.

My DH wants to buy me a pelvic support band as I had an awful night and have had tears already this morning. I think I should wait until at least Tuesday to speak to my midwife but maybe even until the 12th for my next Physio.I don't want to risk doing damage or wearing the wrong thing. Paracetamol will have to be my friend.

Heat seems to help me more than cold Potato as a bath yesterday eased it. Getting out was a feat though I can tell you.
**
Nev how is your pain? How was work?

Danni89 · 29/04/2016 08:46

No worries girls! Very excited now!

Anyone booking a 3D scan?

PotatosMum · 29/04/2016 08:50

Morning ladies. How are you all today?

Bunch your pelvic pain sounds terrible. I know the paracetamol is your friend problem though. I tried to come off mine last night. BIG mistake!

I was wondering about twins too. I guess they're rarer than we were all fearing. I am glad I just have one potato though.

So today's post pain achievements. I can now roll into bed instead of having to climb onto it and slide down, I can also roll over in bed (although it hurts) these are both things I couldn't do yesterday. It's a bit sad that my life has been reduced to this but I'm hopping that in a couple of weeks I'll be a normal human being again. Smile

OP posts:
BunchOfBobs · 29/04/2016 09:01

Potato I feel my life has been reduced to similar. We can be sad together. Your pain though is clearly worse than mine and I feel so sad for you that you're going through it and may possibly have another flare up again.

I hate feeling sorry for myself but today I really am. DH noticed I wouldn't even attempt to get out of bed this morning as I was so apprehensive of the pain Sad The best bit by far though was when the dog currently named bastard dog stood with all of his weight (20kg!) on my right leg whilst sat to the left of me to shove his face inbetween mine and DHs as he kissed me goodbye (typical behaviour for bastard dog, he's quite protective of me lately). This resulted in all I can describe as what felt like my pelvis being snapped in half through my pubic bone. Hence this mornings tears. Never knew I had so much strength in one arm holding the dogs chest up with it to get him off me. I now can't sit properly and instead am leaning on one arse cheek, meaning a very numb arse cheek. This is completely at odds with my Physio so I may just end up laying down.

Delightfully my parents are coming tomorrow so I have to do the pre mum visit clean.... Usually involving ovens and skirting boards HA! Not this visit mother.

Nevlet · 29/04/2016 09:17

Bunch sorry you are in so much pain! Mine has been better think doing all my lessons sat on a stool has helped rest it a bit. The coldy cough thing is now so bad I am surprised snot isnt seeping out my skins ears etc I know its gross but its bad! I can breathe through my mouth but I kinda weeze at the same time and have zero sense of taste or smell. I actually feel bad for the kids today and will be trying to stay at a distance and avoid sitting and helping any directly. Even though I know about 5 were missing yesterday in one group and will need catching up...

Almost the long weekend!
