Bunch between the pair of us I think we've sufficiently covered "if it can go wrong it will" still I'm managing not to be too upset. I'm sad that the long weekend will be a write off but given how much pain I was in on Tuesday I'm just happy to be on the mend and not screaming the house down.

nev your cold sounds terrible. Hopefully the long weekend will give you a chance to rest.

It would seem so Potato. Every time I get a hoof though it's all worth it. At least kicks don't hurt yet.... Hmm
I think I may have partly done this to myself by doing too much at the gym on Wednesday. I was due to go back today but that's clearly not happening. I'm going to leave it to see if the pain eases then head back to see if the gym does make it worse. It'll be a PITA if it is made worse by exercise but I'll happily take no pain and get a wee smidgen of cabin fever.

Glad you're feeling better than Tuesday. potato.

Nev that sounds truly hideous, I hope
You feel better soon. Try steaming with some eucalyptus oil.

Time for me to tackle the guest room....

Nevlet · 29/04/2016 09:46

Haha whats wierd is I feel completely fine in myself its all sinuses nose and lungs! I am SO HUNGRY and wish I could taste haha

shelbTa · 29/04/2016 09:54

Jesus bunch that sounds sore. Yeah maybe a bump band might help. What are you doing when you go to the gym?

Nev you sound rough too!

I've just been to have my iron levels checked again as my hair is still falling out a ridiculous amount and I look like Casper. Should get results end of day.

Waves to everyone!

X

Mileymoocow · 29/04/2016 10:17

indi I bloody knew it! Wink congratulations on team pink.

danni congratulations on team blue! Did you have a feeling?

soda lol!!!!! I used to go for the full Hollywood before I was pregnant and am absolutely petrified of it now. Probably because I'm approx 23x hairier than I was now I have a bun cooking. I really feel for you.

I think I'm gonna struggle to not blurt out I want to find out gender in 3 weeks! I really look forward to everyone's news after they've been under the sorting hat!

BunchOfBobs · 29/04/2016 11:59

Shelb, a 5 mins warm up walk at degree incline followed by some arms/shoulder super low weight exercises then 15 mins on the cross trainer. Weights have no impact on my pelvis and only the treadmill hurts so I don't know if the cross trainer has any impact at all.
I really should get on with cleaning but sewing these up is just too fun!!

Just nearly drowned laughing. Had a bath in the hope of easing the pain (didn't work this time) and decided to see if potato's kicks were strong enough to make water droplets move. I didn't really expect it to work but it passed the time. So with some encouragement poking and prodding I got potato cross enough to kick me... My whole belly moved! I could see where she was kicking and everything... It was absolutely hysterical.
She's definitely got her mothers violent streak Grin

bunch they are absolutely adorable! ❤

Oh no potato! Attitude already. Brilliant fun

When did you more advanced ladies first feel movement? I thought I did last night but I think it was just a fart

BunchOfBobs · 29/04/2016 12:47

Haha Potato I love how you like to wind her up. I'm the same with Pip. He either loves or hates the bath as it makes him kick like mad.

Miley thanks. Smile hehe, it does feel like wind to begin with. I had movements really early, from between 15 weeks, felt like popping. DH felt them from 19 weeks. Visible kicks from 20 weeks. All quite early for first baby.

A good way to check is have a really cold drink then lie on your left side and concentrate to see if you feel any movement.

Flashinthepan · 29/04/2016 14:21

Sorry for everyone who is in pain, seems so harsh that such a lovely time is tainted by some truly unpleasant symptoms.

Today, one of my boobs is noticeably bigger than the other (ridiculously different sizes). I hope the other one catches up or buying bras is going to be a PITA!

Can't remember if I said it but congrats to new team pinks and team blues!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 29/04/2016 16:36

Awww I'm sorry everybody seems room be struggling or ill or in pain today you poor sausages! Flowers

I'm just exhausted, slept for 12 hours, could happily go to bed now! All my symptoms seem to have tailed off (except sore boobs) and being knackered.
Hoping it's placenta taking over! Digestion seems to be slowing down too. Lovely!

Has anyone else else struggled with jelly legs/arms? I feel all wibbly wobbly in my person!

PotatosMum · 29/04/2016 16:41

Miley I think I started feeling stuff around 17 or 18 weeks but it was such a gentle sensation that it could have been gas or a muscle twitch. When you feel a proper kick you'll know it Wink

Bunch I think potato loves baths as she goes very sleepy, she hates cold packs and will squirm and kick if I use one.
They will both probably punish us for winding them up when they're born Hmm

Flash oh no to the wonky boobs... Hopefully they will sort themselves out in time.

Sat in bed propped up by many pillows waiting for the DSCs to descend for the weekend. 3 days of listening to them bicker about my Xbox and I won't even be able to storm in and tell them off Hmm
I have suggested to OH he should take them to the park Sunday for some quality time to give me some peace and quiet Wink

OP posts:
PotatosMum · 29/04/2016 16:45

Stark Wobblyness could be blood pressure related. I had a dizzy spell in a clothes shop at about 10 weeks and had to be supported by OH until it passed.

Enjoy the slow digestion. You'll soon be joining the rest of us praying for a visit from the poop fairy. Wink

Thanks for the get wells... Text OH about an hour ago to say i was leaving work could he put the hot water on for a bath... Just got in he has cleaned the whole bathroom, run a bath with candles and bought me a huge pot of olives positioned on side of bath. He was in the process of setting up my mac in here too so i could watch tv too. GrinGrin just wish i could have a few WineWineWine too!!

Nevlet · 29/04/2016 17:05

He has now appeared with a huge wine glass of echo falls infusion (very good prosecco alternative and zero alcohol)... I bet he has bought something expensive lol!

Mileymoocow · 29/04/2016 17:46

Oh stark welcome to the constipation club!

nev that sounds lovely of your OH! Enjoy in (until you get your credit card statement)

I cooked and ate eggs today Grin haven't been able to do that since ms started! There was minor retching but I want sick!

IndiX · 29/04/2016 17:58

Sorry for everyone feeling a bit shit today. Hope you are all getting looked after and get plenty of rest and ChocolateCake
Nev, what a well trained OH! My DH is similar to yours, if he's had a spend he is super nice.....always makes me suspiciousHmm

Woke up this morning still excitable and on a high after my pink news.
Miley I think I had the same! I was having a lie down before and I was about to drift off I felt a pop on my knicker line. It definitely wasn't wind but I don't know if it was Beanie or if that's wishful thinking. It's not happened since even after about 2 pints of cold water. I can't wait to feel actual kicks and movement!

Nevlet · 29/04/2016 18:01

There has been no reveal of a car/power tool yet so maybe I am being unfairly suspicious!

Pinklily1 · 29/04/2016 18:23

Hi ladies

I'm in the process of catching up with the thread, but in the meantime CakeFlowersto Potato, Bunch and Nev for the crapiness you are all experiencing.

Bunch, I had a running induced hip injury last year and physio said that the cross trainer was a no go, we although it takes pressure off your knees etc, the movement jolts the hips. Not sure if that might impact on your pelvic pain.

Time for TMI. Do you think if you strain whilst pooing it could make waters break?! I know ladies often poo whilst giving birth because of the pushing, but I wonder if it works the other way as well?!

Peaches8Posies · 29/04/2016 18:59

Congratulations indi and dani team pink and blue yeh Grin

bunch your doing fab stuff! Your little guy will be a right smart dresser Grin

pink no but if you over strain you can risk getting piles. The poop comes from the pressure of the baby coming down the birthing canal (and according to my midwife friend is quite common Shock)

nev bath sounds amazing. Did giggle at the car/power tool comment though, I would be the same Grin

starky apart from my head ache today I totally don't feel I have any preggo symptoms at all! Like you I can't wait to breath at little easier after my scan (fx).

IrregularCommentary · 29/04/2016 20:20

bunch and potato, sorry you're having such a crappy time with pain. I hope you're both feeling better soon.

Great news on the team pink indi. Two weeks to wait for me - it's taking forever!

Glad your dh is being so ace nev - sounds like you very much deserve it this week!

Right... have taken and am posting my first ever bump pic, so be gentle ladies. This is me, 17+1...

Thread #5 - TTC#1 grads thread - now we're cooking with charcoal!
Co5mo · 29/04/2016 20:59

Irregular that's one neat bump you have there.

Indi having correctly predicted you as team pink I'm now convinced I'm team blue but will have to wait until 31st May to find out. Getting impatient to find out now.

I wish DH was here to run me a bath and cook dinner. He's away for the weekend working again.

Flashinthepan · 29/04/2016 21:02

Sorry to put a downer on things but just to let you know I went for my scan and they discovered an ectopic pregnancy. Still in shock and waiting to see if I need surgery or the injection. Wishing all you ladies well and healthy happy pregnancies and babies. No doubt I'll be back on the ttc threads in a few months time.

leoniethelioness · 29/04/2016 21:03

Nice little bump, Irregular!

I'm 18+2 and I've grown a massive bump in the last week!

Back from our little break - I can thoroughly recommend a prenatal massage! It's nice to be home now though. The decorators have finished but the new plaster on one wall is blown (in Pepper's room 😂😯) so we need to get the plasterer back to repair it then repaint it. I was really hoping to order the new carpet this weekend and place our Ikea order for the nursery.

We took up the carpet on the stairs, in our room and Pepper's room so it looks a state and we're in slippers to avoid the carpet grippers. I just want it to look nice!

We're going to look at new light fittings tomorrow to cheer me up a bit and maybe some nursery curtains too. There's a nice Winnie The Pooh set in Dunelm. Any other recommendations?

Scan is a week on Tuesday - can't wait to see if baby is OK and find out if we're having a son or daughter. We've agreed on a name for either sex so feeling a bit more relaxed now! We've had a girls' name for ages but boys are hard!

leoniethelioness · 29/04/2016 21:07

Flash I missed your post - I am so so so sorry to hear this. I hope you're being looked after well and that you're getting the support you need right now.
