Hello ladies. I'm going to have to catch up later as it's hard to type.

Holy buggery I'm in pain, OHhas taken a week off to look after me as just gettin out of bed is a monumental effort that sometimes ends in me sobbing... Which doesn't help as that also hurts.
I'm just hoping the pain reduces to just unpleasant soon!

Well - I now can't eat big meals it seems as all my organs are pushed up into my left ribcage. It's (luckily) my only pain problem at the mo.

Is anyone anaemic? I think I might be going that way. Surely this much exhaustion can't be normal?!

new - yes, I'm anaemic, hence the iron tablets and the horrific constipation! Stock up on spinach and steak - anything to avoid the dreaded iron tablets!!

Soda iron tablets are horrible to take and constipation is just nasty. I normally get it but have been very regular since my 2 banana regime started! (1 at 3 am or whenever I wake for the first time, 2nd before I get out of bed, it really helps with morning sickness). I am also still eating a prune or 2 most days.

I'm feeling in slightly less pain today (as long as I don't move ) I've got to go for an abdominal scan on Saturday which should be fun not so I'm hoping I've picked up a bit by then.

Elle, yes it's non-maternity. I still got in my non-maternity work clothes so I'm staying in them as long as possible!

Tiffany Rose have 15% off selected clothes online today, in case anyone wants anything!

Bloody hell top marks for getting in your non mat clothes pink, well jel! Even my rib cage seems to have expanded.

Potato glad you are feeling slightly better today, it's great OH is staying off to look after you. Hope you are in less pain soon, you've had a shit time recently!

Just been for my 16w midwife appt, asked about why I'm weeing constantly and feeling the need to wee ALL THE TIME. Nothing came up on the dip stick but she's going to send my sample off. Also heard Bean's strong little heart beat she said it was around 130 which means it's a boy?! Gender scan is tomorrow anyway and I am SO excited. I do have a boy vibe, I feel like Bean is a cheeky one..I can't really explain but everytime I've had a scan or heard the heart beat I get a feeling.
Have any of you ladies found the heartbeat theory to be correct?

Correction- she didn't say it means Bean is a boy, but the old wives tale says that under 140 is a boy I think..might be a load of rubbish though X

Hi ladies.

11+3 toady and just had my first arguement with the midwife etc... still no notification of my 12 week scan. Midwife has sent my details to the scan unit and she agreed I should have heard by now so she gave the direct number to check. Called them and they say there has been nothing sent for me to be booked in. So I called the midwife central number and got a very rude midwife. She said they can take up to 13+6 so basically doing nothing about it! I doesn't matter how long they can take the unit has confirmed my details have not been received. They can't book me in if they have no booking in request. Her responce.....did your midwife put your phone number on the request they could call you and squeeze you in....... not sure what part of this she doesn't understand. Call back on Friday she says, why? So they can say nothings changed its the holiday weekend now and we can't do anything until Tuesday, arrghhh!

Plus I now suspect I have oral thrush. It's all fun today

feefs iv spoke to a few ladies how had similar experiences at early scans and all turned out ok, stay positive

Indi Pips heartbeat is under 140 now but earlier was 140-150 so I don't know how reliable it is (team blue here) .

Yeah bunch I've been researching the theory ( obviously I'm obsessed and can't just wait 24 hrs to find out!) and loads of people have said its rubbish. I had a dream last night about a baby boy but sure I'm just going a bit mad haha

Seriously OBEM should come with a warning. Balling my eyes out watching an episode from last series.
Thankfully there's only 1 episode left of this series as I seem to be incapable of not watching.

Just had my 16 week appointment (at 18 weeks )

Was pretty useless to be honest eat although I heard our little girls heartbeat again so that was good! (and it's over 140 if that helps with the theory)

peaches that's shit. I'd keep calling and complaining until you get somewhere.

Pain is manageable today but because half of my abdominal muscles don't work at the moment (and hurt like buggery if I try to use them) life is awkward. I can't bend down or walk faster than a snail and getting in and out of bed is challenging. I made a wrong move while trying to get out of bed earlie and ended up laying in my back with my arms and legs in the air shouting to my OH for help because I'd "got myself in a bit of a pickle and couldn't get up"

Oh dear potato. You just gave me the mental image of a sheep stuck on its back. Glad OH was home to rescue you. I can't use my stomach muscles due to the ab split so Physio gave me the best way to get out of bed. Roll on your side first then push yourself up using your arms, swing legs and you're sat up on the edge of the bed. Life changer for me. Life will be novel when I get to use my stomach again. At least this way we're both slightly prepped if we have to have a section.

Glad the pain is easing up potatoe and bunch I cried at OBEM too! The young girl did so well!

Hope the pain continues to ease Potato. Any more news on the house?

If it helps, we are Team Pink and heart rate at the 16 week midwife appointment was something like 158.

I've ordered some exercise pants so will let you all know what they are like when they arrive!

Peaches, I would keep phoning/ complaining until you get somewhere. It's just ridiculous. Could you phone and ask to speak to a different midwife?
