Potato hope you hear soon about the house, it's so frustrating isn't it? You should be attractive to the vendor as your buyer is a cash buyer so fx. Just checked my scan report and it said my fibroid is 62x51x80mm, no idea if that's big or not. I saw the mw yesterday and I asked her if it was a mc risk and she said no, I will expect a different story when I see the consultant!

Pink gorgeous dress! What colour is the belt?

Bunch love the harem pants! So cute! I've bookmarked the hypnobirthing book for future reference.

Feefs hope everything is ok. My local EPU have a contact number, it might be worth checking with your hospital switchboard so you could try to contact them by phone?

ElleSarcasmo · 24/04/2016 14:41

Potato forgot to say hope your fibroid settles down!

I need to have a wardrobe sort out today and work out what actually still fits. I think I'll need to be in maternity clothes soon Blush everything cuts me in half!

shelbTa · 24/04/2016 14:52

Ace pants bunch!! I'm on the hunt for some nursery curtains.

Cannot get enough sugar today.

All those expecting in August / September - what you planning to put the baby in at night? Would it be a vest and light tog sleeping bag you reckon?

X

BunchOfBobs · 24/04/2016 15:08

Shelb as I live in mid Wales where summer is usually a non event I'm expecting baby to be dressed for winter Wink I have a couple
Of 1 tog grobags and a varsity of vests with short/long sleeve legs/no legs to figure out what will work best temperature wise. I plan to swaddle if Pip wants/allows me to and they're made of bamboo which is great for temperature regulating.

Potato keep an eye on the pain, I hope it's just a niggle that buggers off soon.

Thanks everyone re the pants. I'll be making up at least 3 more pairs this week and may try my hand at a romper suit and some matching hats for the pants.

Sodasoda · 24/04/2016 15:08

Thanks for reassurance re movement everyone. I've got a posterior placenta so that shouldn't be stopping me feeling anything. I think if I really concentrate I've felt a couple of bubbles in the last couple of days in the evening but it could be anything!

Gorgeous dress pink. I have 2 weddings in August and I'm hoping to get something similar and where it to both. Seraphine (I promise I don't work for them!!) are doing 20% off lace formal dresses at the moment so have a look there too.

Love the pants bunch

I don't get that pain shelb but I'm getting a lot of back ache and stitch-like pains.

feef do you know exactly when you ovulated? The LMP date is based on the average cycle of ovulating day 14. I tended to ovulate later - around day 18 or 19 which explains why I'm a few days behind my LMP dates. It's very stressful to begin with but its all just a complete estimate to begin with. If you're feeling symptoms and the sonographer wasn't worried then id try to relax but I realise that's easier said than done!!

Co5mo · 24/04/2016 15:36

Just checking back in. Jungle Garden season has arrived so I've been super busy getting the spuds in the ground etc. By the looks of this thread you've all been busy too.

Irregular snap on the Leicester front. Just driven through the football traffic on my way back from town. This season is just unbelievable.

Bunch have you overlocked your hareem pants or used a stretch stitch? I've never strayed into jersey but there are some really cute baby patterns I'd like to try.

BunchOfBobs · 24/04/2016 15:56

Co5mo I used a serging stitch with an overhang foot on my machine as I've massively fallen out with my over locker - I had to re thread it and cannot for the life of me get the tension correct again. Pretty chuffed with the result. (Didn't bother changing to a lighter thread as it was trial run).

Feefeefs · 24/04/2016 16:15

Thanks Elle I think I'm going to try and wait it out. I think she would have advised me to go to EPU if there was anything major to worry about (trying to convince myself).

LMP was 1/3/16 soda but I think I ovulated ~18th March similar to you then. The pregnancy sac was nice and round she said it wouldn't be so round if I was going to miscarry.

shelbTa · 24/04/2016 16:17

Thanks bunch. Just out of interest - what sized vests are you buying etc - it seems complicated with the newborn sizes as its depends how big they are when they are born doesn't it as to what size will fit? It scares me just how little I know!!!

X

BunchOfBobs · 24/04/2016 16:28

Shelb I've mostly got 0-3 months. Just bought some "up to 1 month" form Tesco and "up To 3 months" these are to dye and put transfers on though. I'm not getting anything newborn as I expect a beast. All recent babies in both sides of our families have been over 9lbers. DH was 10lb Shock and I was 8lb1.5 so really would be shocked to get smaller than an 8lb. I may get the outfit for Pip to come home in in 2 sizes just incase, but there's a Tesco across the road from the birth centre if he is a different size to all clothes pre planned.

There's a good table for what to dress baby in in certain temperatures I've attached.

Nevlet · 24/04/2016 16:49

So I have managed to rip the zip on my coat sitting down today... I think bump has grown over the weekend!

Pinklily1 · 24/04/2016 16:59

Elle - the sash is the same colour as the dress. The dress itself comes in a few colours and then they do the sash in basically every colour under the sun!

Soda - I saw that Seraphine offer. I love their stuff for work and casual but haven't been blown away by any of the lace dresses they have, which is a shame because 20% is a good saving!

The wedding is only a day before my due date, so i'm going to wait until nearer the time, buy something, and then if baby comes early and we can't go to the wedding, i'll still have time to send it back!

Bunch, those pants are fab!

Sodasoda · 24/04/2016 17:46

I'm sure you'll be fine then feef

Just bought our first baby thing! A Kari me sling on SIL's recommendation. Feel ridiculously excited by it all! We've also booked in someone to come round next week and advise on curtains / blinds for nursery. We have absolutely massive windows which are lovely but means that everything needs to be custom made which is pretty pricey.

IrregularCommentary · 24/04/2016 18:23

Haha, I feel you with traffic co5mo. I used to live in walking distance of the KP so parking at home on match days was an absolute nightmare! On cloud 9 with today's result though Grin

feefs, really pleased they've been able to be so reassuring in a scary situation. Sounds like you're handling it brilliantly, and I'm sure they'd have to be pretty confident everything's ok if they've been able to be so reassuring so hopefully you get confirmed good news in 3 weeks.

Canters15 · 24/04/2016 18:31

Baby brain has struck- put a pie in the oven, came to take it out an hour later- hadnt turned the oven on so pie still very much uncooked! I am ridiculous!

feef there was someone on another thread who had similar to you- abdo us at 8 weeks with just a yolk sac but they were able to see everything on TV Inc heartbeat and baby was fine. Shame your clinic couldn't have just done a TV there and then as I'm sure it will be the same case with you.

PotatosMum · 24/04/2016 19:34

Elle that fibroid is on the larger side but not massive. I shouldn't worry too much.

I'm really pissed off. Fibroid pain didn't go away so I went to A&E and they're making me stay over night so that I can be scanned tomorrow. They're happy that Potato is fine but just want to see the fibroid. They're not monitoring me or anything so I don't see why I couldn't just go home with some pain killers so that I would be comfortable instead of staying on a noisy ward where I don't want to be. Feel like crying Sad

Pinklily1 · 24/04/2016 19:37

Oh no Potato, that's rubbish! Have they said why you can't just go home and then go back in early tomorrow morning? I suppose the hospital is the best place to be but I can imagine its frustrating when they aren't actually doing anything at the minute!

Are the painkillers helping at all?

PotatosMum · 24/04/2016 19:49

I don't know why I can't just go home. They just told me I have to stay. And I was too surprised to question it earlier.
The dr's gone now so I don't think there's anything I can do other than grin and bare it. The problem is that I have a type of agoraphobia, if I feel trapped I can have panic attacks... I definitely feel trapped and panicky Sad

OP posts:
IrregularCommentary · 24/04/2016 20:06

Potato, can you discharge yourself and just go back in for the scan tomorrow? Seems crazy for you to be in there if you don't need to be, particularly if you're not happy to be.

PotatosMum · 24/04/2016 20:18

I really don't know if I can do that. I think I've decided to stay tonight and tell them to bugger off if they try to get me to stay tomorrow.

I may have to kill the two other women in the room though as they just won't shut up!

OP posts:
Pinklily1 · 24/04/2016 20:20

Can you get your OH to bring you some headphones or earphones in to block out the noise?

BunchOfBobs · 24/04/2016 21:14

Oh Potato that massively sucks. Do you have ear plugs and an eyelash or get OH to bring you some. Fx you get scanned super early and can go home first thing Thanks

PotatosMum · 24/04/2016 21:31

Well, I just had the worse panic attack I've had in years. I tried to discharge myself but the doctors told me that I could only do that against medical advice and I would be putting potato at risk. They refused to book me in to have the scan tomorrow if I didn't stay so I have to.
It's not even about the noise or the discomfort. This place sets my agoraphobia off, I feel completely out of control of my surroundings and trapped and I can't deal with that. I haven't been in hospital since I was very small so I had no idea it would effect me like this. I hate it, I just hope I don't have to stay in after potato's born.

Feeling crappy Sad

OP posts:
IrregularCommentary · 24/04/2016 21:58

Oh you poor thing Potato. Have you got books/tv/music with you to try and distract you from where you are? Sorry, I don't really know if that would help with your agoraphobia or not.

I hope you manage to get some sleep and they scan you early tomorrow Flowers

PotatosMum · 24/04/2016 22:38

Looks like I'm about to have a scan now... They can't find potato with the Doppler and neither can I Sad
