Oh potato sounds like you're having a rough time, try and stay they really wouldn't keep you if they thought they could send you home. Hope you get your scan now and things are all fine.

Thanks irregular I think DH is keeping me calm we'll just see how long it lasts. I wish they had had the TV canters.

LillianFullStop · 24/04/2016 22:51

Sorry you're having to be in the hospital potato - hope you get some reassurance from the scan and you can just go home and relax. I'm sure the stress at having to be there is not helping.Flowers

PotatosMum · 24/04/2016 23:17

Just did a scan. Potato's fine, so thank you ladies for scaring the crap out of me when I feel shit anyway.

Still have to have a scan tomorrow for my fibroid though.

Laurenrl · 24/04/2016 23:23

Glad the baby is all fine potato. Hope you get a little bit of rest tonight xxFlowers

PotatosMum · 25/04/2016 06:44

Morning ladies, how are you all today?

Well, last night was officially the worse nights sleep I've ever had. I maybe managed 3 hours if I was lucky and I now look like death. Pain has ramped up too. Honestly think I would have been far better off at home where I wouldn't have been scared silly by midwives messing up routine observations or patronised by dr's acting as if I was being silly because the midwifes called her to do a scan and check the baby was ok ( I knew potato was ok by that point because she was busy kicking me.)

I'm also in the most uncomfortable bed in the world and have no blankets because I had to scrunch them up to lean on so I wasn't in as much pain.

Anyway, grumble, grumble, grumble. I now look and feel like death Hmm

BunchOfBobs · 25/04/2016 07:03

Oh Potato any idea what time you'll have the scan today? Fx it's soon and you can get home to get Some sleep Soon.

PotatosMum · 25/04/2016 07:19

Not a clue unfortunately. Monday's are apparently really busy so I just have to wait and see.

Until then I'm going to sit here and quietly seethe that I'm probably in more pain today because they wouldn't let me go home and rest in comfort.

They're obviously not too fussed about me as when I demanded to go home they were saying that if I did they wouldn't give me a scan today and couldn't even say it would be this week. Hmm

ElleSarcasmo · 25/04/2016 08:08

Sad Potato, that sounds rubbish. Hope they get your scan sorted quickly, glad to hear MiniPotato is ok. Thinking of you Flowers

shelbTa · 25/04/2016 08:12

Oh no potato that's totally shit!! Hang tight. How's the pain?

X

PotatosMum · 25/04/2016 08:36

The pain sucks but I can live with it. Just saw the midwife who's finishing. Apparently she has no idea when my scan will be but she's informed the day midwife that there's no chance they'll be able to get me to stay another night. Smile

Just want to go home and sleep!

Oh potato sorry to hear about your shitty night. I'm glad little potato is doing ok, hope you're seen to quickly!

leoniethelioness · 25/04/2016 09:03

Hope you haven't got to wait too much longer, potato

Feefeefs · 25/04/2016 09:15

Hope you get your scan soon potato.

PotatosMum · 25/04/2016 09:35

G'ah! Just saw a senior Dr who advised me that I've got red degeneration, there's nothing they can do other than give me pain killers, I didn't need a scan at all it's just something they do because they can't do anything else but there's no danger to me or the baby. Basically the junior Dr last night was talking bollocks when she was saying about me and the baby being in danger and has put me through stress and pain (I would have been in considerably less pain at home) for no reason. Angry
Dr wants me to stay and have the scan because it's been booked but has recommended that I'm discharged straight after.

On the bright side, the estate agent called, they're just confirming our situation but that the sounds from the seller is that they will accept the offer if everything is as it seems. Back to the waiting game.

leoniethelioness · 25/04/2016 09:47

Good and bad news then, potato. At least you and Potato are going to be fine. The pain sounds horrible in the meantime. Hopefully some good news with the house will cheer you up too!

I've woken up tired today too. Waiting for DH to finish a few jobs around the house and my cat to come back inside so we can go to the cattery before our little break. The decorators are here so our house should look nice when we get back! We've pulled the carpet up so we'll be carpet shopping next weekend and once it's fitted then I can start buying bits for the nursery!

Still struggling with a boys' name. Quite like Elliot but DH and I can't agree whether it should be Elliot or Elliott. Any views? It also doesn't really match any of my criteria of being royal or Biblical or Shakespearean...

BunchOfBobs · 25/04/2016 10:13

Potato glad to hear there's no danger to you or the baby, and fx there's good news from the estate agents soon.

Leonie the Elliott's I know have 2 t's and that looks "right" to me. It's a lovely name.

I'm just back from round 3 of bloods being taken. Had a good chat with the midwife and obviously dependant on these results is going to talk to the hospital tomorrow about me continuing weekly bloods at my birthing unit, as there really seems to be no reason for weekly ctgs for itching. The go prescribed me oilatum for the bath, e45 itching cream for moisturising and piriton to take. So far I haven't needed the piriton but the other two are keeping my itching at bay. Apparently this is a sign of it just being a skin issue rather than liver which is also great news. Still have to go for my Liver scan on Thursday though pfft.

I'm feeling quite down today as I've worked out I've put on 4.2kg in 3 weeks. 0.6kg was just yesterday. It can't be right piling on the amount I am but it seems to be all bump, boobs and bum and now chin. Midwife isn't worried but I feel like I'm not being so healthy for Pip and should I change the way I eat? I've never been bothered about it before so don't know why I am today.

Mileymoocow · 25/04/2016 10:25

Morning ladies, just catching up.

potato what an absolute shitter. I have a phobia of hospitals so can totally sympathise. Hope you get home soon to a phone call from the agent giving you a big fat thumbs up.

bunch I love the pants ❤ incredibly cute. I'm with you on the healthy eating - I can't eat meals very often so graze continuously all day Sad it's so shit watching the awful things our bodies have to go through.

pink that dress is lovely! Formal enough but really nice and summery.

Mileymoocow · 25/04/2016 10:29

Starting to show now at 16+2, gaining a bump instead of looking podgy. Also my ass is getting enormous! 😂

BunchOfBobs · 25/04/2016 10:38

Lovely bump Miley I do love a bump shot. I'm with you on the huge ass. I think mine matches my bump in size which is a feat!

Anyone else suffering with hideous heartburn and reflux? My mum keeps saying "baby will have loads of hair". I don't care if he's bald as a coot, I want to be able to lie down and burp!!

Think I'm going to be proactive and cook tonight's tea before lunch then clean the floors. What a rock and roll lifestyle I lead. And soon I get to clean poo up too!

shelbTa · 25/04/2016 10:42

Aww bunch don't worry. My brain can't compute kg (I use stones!) but I empathise about worrying about your weight through all this - particularly if you were quite into your fitness before. All my mates have said it falls off after though. Good snacks I've found in case you might fancy them - chopped up carrot sticks, literally bags of the little bastards. Also frozen berries fro supermarket with 0% greek yoghurt. I've put on a stone now at 22 weeks.

X

shelbTa · 25/04/2016 10:46

Deffo bump now miley! X

BunchOfBobs · 25/04/2016 10:51

Shelb I converted it just for you Wink I've put on 1.5 stone overall (9.2kg) over half a stone (4.2 kg) has been the last 3 weeks. I may change to stones, it sounds way worse as kg Grin

It's not the number as such, it's more the rate I'm doing it, my weight graph almost has a vertical line on pregnancy +. I just worry if I keep it up I'm clearly not been healthy enough. I definitely need to snack better but this baby adores kitkats and muller corners. I have healthy addictions too such as melon and mango (another mango obsesser here) but 3 kit kats a day is maybe pushing it. Oooh and pb&j sandwiches I LOVE! And strawberry milkshake Hmm

I need to reduce my sugar..... Would you believe me if I told you I had no sugar in my diet for 4 months last year? Only natural sugars I should say, so fruit was okay as was agave or raw honey. It was amazing, all sugar cravings left me. Then I went on holiday last August and cocktails awoke the sugar monster in me.

shelbTa · 25/04/2016 11:33

Ah that's not too far off mine bunch, if you think you're two weeks ahead. I know - sugar is really tricky, I'm craving it too - really bad stuff like doughnuts. Also - remember at 24 weeks the baby starts growing proper, as in inherits characteristics of parents, so it could all be a growth spurt that is making the line shoot up. You still gyming it? I can only do walking now, but trying to get in 6k at the weekend. Bloody hard though! Try not to worry - we'll all be in it together afterwards too trying to shift the baby weight! So glad I've got this forum!

I'm not even weighing myself. I'm 100% addicted to sugar. Trying to limit it to one Galaxy bar and a Coca Cola a day... I don't have any other caffeine - maybe one full strength coffee a week - so I think it's alright on that front... I'm trying to drink more fruit juice which I know isn't great for you but I think it's better than eating Haribo. I can only drink tea with sugar since being pregnant so I'm trying to have decaff coffee instead. It's hard being so addicted to sugar. It's about the only thing that seems to perk me up.

Debating whether I should allow myself to have a sausage roll for lunch or not...
