Bunch thinks for the reassurance regarding the offer. It'll either be accepted or not but I do hate waiting. OH and I were talking this evening about how the current owners seem not to have bothered much with the house. We would go in and do everything possible to make it stunning, they seem to have just moved in and not even bothered painting. It also has a massive garden for the area (perfect for kids) but they haven't so much as planted a shrub or kept the grass in good condition. If our offer is accepted I can't wait to get in and start turning it into a home instead of a blank canvas. trying not to get attached already and failing

Nev looks like your camping experience has improved since yesterday Wink

soda the first baby movements are really hard to recognise, you keep questioning whether it's trapped wind, a muscle twitch or whether you just need a poo! Blush also if your placenta is at the front any movements will be really hard to feel.
Try drinking ice water and then lying really still on your back for a bit... That usually irritates them enough for them to give you a good wallop! Wink

I'm now at the point that when potato wants to she can give me a proper kick that makes me jump, I think she's going to be a kick boxer! OH is worried he's going to end up stuck in a house with two violent birds instead of the one he's stuck with now lol.

Feef I'm sure everything will be fine. You probably just ovulated early (I ovulate pretty much as soon as my period finishes so had to get creative when giving the date of my last period to make sure the dates worked out correctly) it sounds as if the sonographer wasn't worried and everything appears to be where it should be so hopefully when you go back in a couple of weeks you'll have a teeny baby to look at Smile

Thanks potatoes mum

Mileymoocow · 23/04/2016 21:55

pink yeah I was told it's the 14th and 21st Smile they're being a bit coy about it, I think they maybe told me more than they should have.

nev I could totally do with a prosecco right now! I'm sitting in a room full of drunk men waiting to take them home... its difficult.

soda it's bloody nerve wrecking at the minute isn't it!

Mileymoocow · 23/04/2016 21:57

Will definitely look into hypnobirthing, I need something to calm me down!

potato thanks! Though I'm not entirely sure it's ever been uphill so far 😂

Nevlet · 23/04/2016 22:33

Miley its like that here but a field. OH has reached the fairly slurry stage... Luckily we are almost out of firewood and he wants to go to bed once it runs out!

shelbTa · 24/04/2016 08:08

Morning ladies

Omg nev that prosseco and marshmallow looked incredible!!! I'm really tempted to have a shandy today.

Ah feef that's tough. Don't know how you are fixed cash wise but I'd be maybe tempted to go for another TV scan somewhere in a week or so?

Any word back on house potato?

Ok - anyone else got this?...after eating I get an intense pain under my left rib at the front and back. It's so unbearable I can't sit down and have to stand up to alleviate it. I'm not sure it's heartburn, as that would be more central? Oh the joys....

X

shelbTa · 24/04/2016 08:09

Oh and soda - baby moving, I've only just started to feel it properly at nearly 22 weeks. Have you got an anterior placenta do you know?

X

leoniethelioness · 24/04/2016 08:14

Not sure about heartburn but I'm suffering from a sore lower back. It's worse first thing in the morning and in the evenings, and goes during the day. I think yesterday's episode was triggered by crouching over in the garden.

Just read this: www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2016/apr/23/why-i-spent-2000-on-pregnancy-scans It's so sad. It echoes how I feel sometimes though - still not convinced there'll be a baby at the end of this as I keep thinking the worst!

leoniethelioness · 24/04/2016 08:16

17+4 and I've not felt anything yet.

shelbTa · 24/04/2016 08:48

Ah you're on the safer side side of it all now leonie, try not to worry. Good article - I didn't realise until getting upduffed (obvs) just what a huge market conception was....tests, ovulation kits, scans, vitamins etc etc. It can be so intense.

X

Feefeefs · 24/04/2016 08:55

I think I'll wait the three weeks shelbta can see too many similarities with the article leonie shared! I got the midwife booking appointment on the 10th too so hopefully some reassurance there.

StarkyTheDirewolf · 24/04/2016 08:56

leonie that article is so accurate! That exactly what I'm thinking all the time!

How is everybody today?

shelbTa · 24/04/2016 08:57

Yeah very true feef x

Pinklily1 · 24/04/2016 09:11

Morning ladies

Feefs, fingers crossed all is ok Thanks

I need some clothes advice ladies. We have a christening when I'll be 6.5 months pg, which I am going to get a maxi dress for as I can wear it again on holiday and for a few other events. Then we have a wedding when I'll be about ready to pop, and it's black tie. I'm thinking a maxi dress wouldn't be smart enough, what do you think? I don't want to buy too many smart/occasion maternity outfits as they aren't cheap but I want to look nice at the wedding. Do you think this would be OK if I added a sash belt? I'd have to wear flat shoes as I will be huge by then and probably not up for heels!

www.tiffanyrose.com/maternity/clothing/CHLDCS/Chloe-Lace-Maternity-Dress-Coralista.html

I'm going to keep my eyes peeled on eBay too!

Pinklily1 · 24/04/2016 09:13

Ps on the movement point, I'm almost 22 weeks and I can feel bits of movement here and there but it's not regular. Does anyone know when it's meant to become regular?

Feefeefs · 24/04/2016 09:19

Gorgeous dress pinkliky

shelbTa · 24/04/2016 09:24

Really nice pink, deffo smart enough too x

Jamjar12 · 24/04/2016 09:57

Lovely dress pink! I've got a late summer wedding so I'm tempted to look at that sort of dress for then- I love the dragonfly colour. It's difficult buying anything in advance as size can be so different! Maybe hold off on buying until the month before so you can make sure you get a dress that fits nicely rather than guesstimating!
I got grumpy in Wallis the other day that they don't do maternity clothes. They have a lot of floaty tops but if you get bigger sizes in dresses to accommodate a bump, they assume your boobs are small mountains and there's lots of gaping at the sides! I know my boobs are growing but I'm pretty sure they won't fill that properly even in a few months time!

BunchOfBobs · 24/04/2016 10:26

Feefs as someone else said as long as the sonographer didn't seem worried I think you should be positive too. Dates can be so tricky to get right when baby is so small.

Pink that dress is lovely. I think it will look lovely for a wedding.

So I made my tiny pants. Cuffs were a PITA and my stitching is far from perfect but I'm in love with them. I hope Pip won't be as chunky as the teddy but that was to check they fit over a cloth bum and they do wahoo!!

This was my practice run so now this week I can make loads more Grin

Gorgeous dress Pink, I'd say that's perfect for the wedding as well.

No more movement over here, but I was out last night for Mum's birthday so wouldn't have expected to feel anything anyway. Hopefully it'll be a frequent thing now, but not sure that's necessarily the case at first.

Had a glass of prosecco and a medium fillet steak last night. Wow did they taste good!

IrregularCommentary · 24/04/2016 10:28

Bunch they are amazing!

Newmrs22 · 24/04/2016 10:46

Lots to catch up on! Hope you are all well. Mmm prosecco. I fancy a glass now. I had a cheeky small glass of red last weekend. It was amazing.

Bunch the pants are amazing! So talented!

Pink gorgeous dress.

I'm annoyed today. Had planned to go baby shopping with DH but he has too much work to do... He's still in sodding bed! Grr. I wanted to make a start on prams and furniture. Nearly 24 weeks and nothing is sorted. Grump!

Canters15 · 24/04/2016 11:21

Ooh lots of chat!

nev the prosecco and marshmallow look amazing! Dh has promised me I can have a glass on our dating anniversary and my 30th, I am so excited for both!

bunch I will check out that book. Love your trousers, youre very talented!

feef sorry the scan hasn't been as reassuring as you'd like. I assume this was a private scan? I'd mention it to your midwife, she may be able to get you seen on epu, if that is what you want. The worry would drive me bonkers but you may be a more chilled character then me!

Totally random but I can feel the top of my uterus today (lying in bed palpating my abdomen is clearly a normal way to pass the time Grin), which explains why my stomach has started looking so different recently.

I'm going to a wedding when I'll be about 35 weeks. I am going to avoid photos as will look like a whale by then! The couple want everyone to go for a walk on the beach together the day after the wedding....i think I will have to decline in case Greenpeace get called!

Feefeefs · 24/04/2016 12:50

Lovely trousers bunchofbobs very cute. Trying to stay positive!

It was a private scan canters I haven't see the midwife yet first appointment week 10 or I suppose 8 now? So don't really know who I would contact. I'm not sure if the EPU would take me particularly seriously given I've not had any bleeding or anything? I feel pregnant, I think I am just going no to try and tough it out for the next three weeks.

PotatosMum · 24/04/2016 13:10

Shelb I have a feeling we won't hear back about the house until mid next week Sad going slightly mental in the mean time!

Your pain does sound like heart burn to me, remember that things are slightly displaced by your uterus.

Pink I'm sure that dress would look lovely for a wedding Grin

No idea when movement is supposed to become regular heads off to google I'm 22+1 and feel potato on and off all day now, particularly when I eat.

Those are very cute pants Bunch

New I hope you have kicked OH out of bed and informed him that if he has time to sleep he has time to shop!

Dreamt about houses all last night. It was frustrating, then I woke up planning a new kitchen in the new house. Must stop thinking like that as I don't want to be disappointed.

I've also developed a disturbing stitch in my fibroid. I'm waiting to see if it goes away... Sad
