Afternoon all.

I know, 6 months seems crazy!!
Today I FINALLY finished the baby blanket. I started it back in September when we decided to TTC. I finished the bulk of it yesterday then spent this morning finishing off weaving in the ends the worst part. And it's done! Woohoo. Clearly the dog approves. It needs washing then I'll probably have to re weave in the ends then it's all ready for Pips arrival. I've decided it's his car blanket so he'll come home in it. It is far from perfect but I'm chuffed regardless.

I hope everyone else is enjoying their Saturday. I'm sat in a camping chair at the far end of the garden watching DH jet was the decking. So glad it's not me Grin

Hey all, had a quiet few days as I've had a bit of a growth spurt over here, which means being utterly knackered and really fucking hungry all the time! Actually had two dinners last night as one just wasn't doing it Blush

In exciting news, I'm almost certain that I actually felt baby last night Grin Weird sensation, but definitely not in my stomach and just not anything I've ever felt before.

(Also, I did a lot of prodding afterwards and then got rewarded with exactly the same feeling a few seconds later so I really think it was movement) Exciting!

Hope everyone's having a good weekend x

IrregularCommentary · 23/04/2016 14:48

Gorgeous blanket Bunch - good work! Cute dog approval obviously key as well!

I really really need to get my act together and do some housework while DH is at physio with the dog, but the sofa is so comfy and the 3pm matches are all about to begin...

PotatosMum · 23/04/2016 15:36

Will catch up later but just wanted to say we've put an offer in on the house we viewed today and are waiting to hear if it's been accepted. It horrible waiting and we are by no means sure they will accept as lots of people are interested so I don't think we'll be the only ones offering the asking price.

Keep your fingers and toes crossed for us!!

bunch I love the blanket! I love home made knitted stuff, but I'd have no idea at all where to begin. I love beagles, your dog is so cute Grin

irregular I'm doing the same thing re sofa and 3pm matches. I should be putting washing in but I feel so bloated and tired, plus OH is at the pub so I figure if he can be at the pub I can be a slob. Yay at feeling movement, that's gotta be exciting!

potato that is brilliant news! I'm so chuffed for you, I hope you get it

shelbTa · 23/04/2016 17:00

Hi everyone!

Eek good luck potato! It's so stressful.

Nice blankie bunch!

So much to catch up on. Waves to everyone.

I've properly felt the baby squirming today. Going to treat myself to some filth food tonight!

X

IrregularCommentary · 23/04/2016 17:11

Good luck potato! Fingers crossed!

Glad I'm not the only one Miley - are you willing Newcastle on if you're NE? They had a good come back!

Mileymoocow · 23/04/2016 17:18

irregular Yes unfortunately I'm a die hard Newcastle fan! It's doing nothing for my nausea, watching them play though. It was a point I wasn't expecting Grin

Just had someone describe childbirth to me as 'an oversized, thundering truck encased in barbed wire ploughing through my nethers'. Ouch. I'm not looking forward to the birth so much!

PotatosMum · 23/04/2016 17:20

Still not heard, so nervous and starting to think that we haven't got it. Sad

I feel for you Miley - tough season yet again! Massive signs of improvement in the team under Benitez though so fingers crossed for you. I'm Leicester born and bred so this season is absolutely fucking incredible. Stressful as hell though!!

Ouch! Most people I know who have given birth fairly recently have said it wasn't exactly enjoyable but not as bad as they were expecting, and have said you forget very very quickly all the details anyway. None of them had pain relief other than gas and air either so am clinging to that!

BunchOfBobs · 23/04/2016 17:24

Thanks irregular, Miley and ShelbIt's the first crocheted blanket I've actually finished so I'm very pleased it's done. I'm just finishing cutting fabric pieces to start making mini harem pants so can't wait to sew them up tomorrow to see how they look.

Potato that is amazing news!! Fingers and toes crossed here for you. *

Exciting for all the baby movement Grin

Miley I can highly recommend the Hypnobirthing book I've been readings. It has made me actually quite look forward to the birth and when I hear horro stories now I no longer wince.

Canters15 · 23/04/2016 18:13

Lovely blanket bunch! Which book is this? Sounds interesting. The midwife thought I should try to deliver on the MLU and it does sound lovely, but...um...epidural? I am a wimp though, I'm sure it is so much better to be able to deliver just on gas and air and would like to try and man up before the birth.

Congrats on finding somewhere you love potato! So exciting! Fingers crossed they accept your offer.

Well I had an interesting night. Came home from work at about 2am, tossed and turned and woke up at 5am to hear banging outside.....realised it was someone stealing husbands bike from the balcony! He was up and on the balcony just in time to see them jumping over the railing but too late for the bike. It's a first floor flat as well and bike was chained up! Tossers.

Have just put a big order in on h&m. Husband said I look pregnant today and am finding even leggings to feel tight. So have got some mat leggings and a couple of baggy t shirt dresses plus couple of sale mat dresses. Think I will try and hang fire for another couple of weeks then accept defeat and go hunting for mat jeans. I love clothes and shopping and am quite excited about having an excuse to buy a whole new wardrobe....

Hope everyone is well and bumps behaving!

Pinklily1 · 23/04/2016 18:35

Fingers crossed for the house Potato. Do you have wriggle room if they reject your first offer?

The blanket is fab Bunch! I'm so impressed with your creative skills! I haven't got a creative bone in my body Hmm

Miley, when you were told about the Mothercare event, did they tell you the date? We asked at Team Valley today and she said there is definitely a June one but she didn't know the date. It would save us a fair wack on the pram, car seat etc so really hope we can make it!

PotatosMum · 23/04/2016 19:11

Bunch yay for reaching 24 weeks. Only 16 to go!

That blanket is really cute. I gave up on the crochet, i don't think I had the patients.

Miley woohoo for 16 weeks. It's all down hill from 20 Smile

Congrats on feeling the baby for the first time Irregular

And yay for squirmy baby Shelb Smile

Canters bike theft sucks! Some people just need to be slapped silly.

So, we still haven't heard back about our offer so I assume we'll have to wait until Monday. Apparently there was a lot of interest, we've offered the full asking price and we're in a really good position but it may not be enough and there's no way we want to up the offer as while we like the house but it's by no means perfect. We'll just have to wait and see. Sad

This book canters Smile Crapoy about the bike though, I wish them many a flat tyre and the chain falling off Wink

Fx you hear back and it's good news Potato. We didn't hear back for 2 days (in the week as well) when we bought this house. Maybe they're having a chat about it. No news is good news.

ImpYCelyn · 23/04/2016 19:54

Gorgeous blanket Bunch!

Irregular have you felt anymore movement? How exciting!

Potato that's brilliant news. Fingers crossed!

Im so glad I'm not the only giving into cravings! The hunger is ridiculous!

Miley I also rate hypnobirthing. The book is really reassuring, but I found it worked really well for the first two.

My boobs are ginormous!! It's ridiculous. They were already on the large side, but now outrageous. I don't look preggo, but I'm having clothing issues on the top. I'm only 8 weeks tomorrow.

Canters what bastards! Utter scum.

ImpYCelyn · 23/04/2016 19:55

Ooh Nev I'm very jealous

Nevlet · 23/04/2016 20:04

Imp its my first drink since boxing day before I got my BFP in the evening.... I reckon it was less than 100ml but every drop was a treat!

Sodasoda · 23/04/2016 20:27

Newcastle fan here too! Destined to a lifetime of disappointment Wink

Great blanket bunch! So envious of people who are creative!

Fingers crossed on the house potato

nev that looks like my type of camping! I didn't have any alcohol during first 12 weeks but since then I've had a couple of (very small) glasses of wine for a special treat - wedding, birthday etc.

My SIL has given me a cd on hypnobirthing so need to get round to listening to it!

I haven't felt baby move at all yet Sad I'm 19+3. I know it's normal not to feel it til later on, especially with the first, but really want to just feel the little one! There's been a couple of times when I thought perhaps I have felt something in the evenings or when I'm lying in bed and I really concentrate but nothing definite yet.

Nevlet · 23/04/2016 20:31

Soda i am 21 weeks tomorrow and I dont feel him all the time... Its only been last 10 days or so that I am sure its baby and not my stomach or a muscle or something. I was worrying today i hadnt felt him since yesterday morning but I 'know' thats normal for this stage. Hopefully you will start getting some definite movement soon!

Feefeefs · 23/04/2016 20:43

Went for an early scan today and I though I was 7+4 they've pushed back the dates to "around 5 weeks" only pregnancy sack visible on abdominal scan and they don't do transvaginal scan.

Apparently lovely round pregnancy sack I'm not to stress and re-scan in three weeks. But in shock don't know whether to be hopeful or not

Sodasoda · 23/04/2016 20:59

Thanks nev, fingers crossed.

feef, I'm surprised they didn't do internal scan that early - it's so hard to be exact when baby is only a few mm) If it helps I went to EPU when I was 7 weeks as I had spotting / bleeding and they measured me at 5+0 (I had internal scan). They weren't very hopeful with me but that's because I'd had bleeding AND was measuring wrong. you're probably just a bit behind on your dates and you have every reason to stay hopeful. My dates caught up - I went back to EPU 2 weeks later for a follow up scan and baby was measuring 4 days behind my LMP measurements and then stayed 4 days behind LMP for 12 week scan and everything is still looking good. Fingers crossed for you - when do you have another scan?

Sodasoda · 23/04/2016 21:01

Sorry - saw that you were having a follow up scan in 3 weeks Blush

Feefeefs · 23/04/2016 21:13

Thanks soda that's really helpful. I think they just don't do internal scans there. I want to try and be positive
