Checking in all - happy birthday planet!! You've got the best present ever sitting snug in your belly Smile

I'm getting breakouts now too - came on just in the last 2 weeks. Bumps on my back, forehead and around chin. Thankfully none of the big cystic ones that leave scars -YET. I've read salicylic acid (BHA) common in anti breakout skincare is not good during pregnancy so I'm going to stick to antibacterial/tea tree washes.

I hear you on the bloat! Stomach is still leanish with some rounding on the bottom half but I still have some definition from the waist up. Until I eat or drink then I look like I have a beer gut from 30 years of beer drinking!

14w this weekend and DH is awaiting this mythical sex drive to kick in for 2nd trimester. I have had zero desire to get jiggy with it so far so feeling sorry for DH! Roll on second trimester!!!

BunchOfBobs · 22/04/2016 12:06

Ugh my welcome pack letter has just arrived from my Hypnobirthing instructor. Addressed Mrs DHs initial and our surname.
I'm unusually put out by this. I'll just blame the hormones and move on. But really, Mrs Husbands name, what is this the 50's?!

Pinklily1 · 22/04/2016 12:30

Hi ladies

Lots going on!

Happy birthday Planet! Have a fabulous weekend away.

Re DTD, my OH has showed zero interest since week 11 (I'm now 21+3) Hmm I went through a phase of not fancying it all but now I do want to and also worry he thinks I look fat.

In terms of bumps, I think mine first started showing from about 15 weeks and in the last week or so has well and truly popped.

JoJo Maman Bebe swimwear is fab. I bought two tankinis for aquanatal and they are great.

Hope everyone has fun weekend plans!

Canters15 · 22/04/2016 13:29

bunch it's exactly that, just bloat- OK when I first get up but gets so much worse by the end of the day. I've just got back from shopping and the tummy has appeared! Thanks for all the bump experiences everyone, I think this is probably quite normal by the sounds of it.

Where is everyone buying maternity jeans from? Ive picked up a couple of cheapies today from primark in a bigger size but think in another few weeks I will need mat jeans. I saw some in h&m but they all go over the bump and look a bit scary!

BunchOfBobs · 22/04/2016 13:35

Canters I love my h&m ones. I also have top shop under the bump but I find I have to keep pulling them up now. The h&m take a little bit of getting used to as wear the denim bit ends at the top is very similar to knicker line so it felt like my knickers were falling down all the time- they weren't.

PotatosMum · 22/04/2016 13:55

Happy birthday for tomorrow Planet Grin

Lauren your 3D photo looks a bit like modern art Wink

Indi I hope you OH takes note of your talk. On the bright side soon you'll have a baby to snuggle Smile

Soda have a nice holiday Smile

We're viewing another house tomorrow and one on Monday. We did a drive by of tomorrow's last night and I do really like the look of it. I'm a little scared to expect much but we were only looking for a home we could live in for 5 ish years... This one looks like the sort of place we might be happy in for a lot longer, maybe even permanently but I really don't want to get my hopes up.

Miley good news on the house value Grin

Canters I found next maternity jeans were good and not too expensive.

I'm pretty sure I do look very pregnant but people seem to think that it's politer to make a fuss about not realising. So when I mention something pregnancy related they say something along the lines of "oh I didn't want to assume I've made that mistake before!" So instead you assumed I was monumentally fat? Hmm

I'm also really annoyed that I can't wear pregnancy jeans anymore. I appear to need a size 18 because Potato really hates anything resting on my tummy but I'm also really short... Apparently there are absolutely no shops that sell size 18 maternity jeans for people with short legs Hmm

Off to watch a Gilbert and Sullivan play tonight. One of my friends is in it... She's warned me it might be a bit weird... Confused

Hi ladies

happy birthday planet

elle glad everything's ok

lauren it is a bit strange seeing the baby that way but I love that you can see soo much detail.

soda enjoy your holiday

miley yeh 0n the value. We have done a lot to ours was thinking yesterday about getting a valuation it's not been done since we bought it as a real fixer upper.

Seen the midwife today. We spoke about my not having a tonne of symptoms she reckons I should just enjoy it (while it lasts and touch wood!Grin) I'm definitely consultant lead due to section last time and my fibriod. My notes are marked to monitor it at my 12 and 20 week scans (possibly more if required) I also asked about my scan as I'm 10+5 and no date yet. She said if no letter next week call them and pull them up and gave me the number to phone.

Met OH after appointment and he took us for a lovely lunch. Chicken, tomato and cheese food seems to be my thing just now. I had a tempura chicken spicy salad and it was lovely. I also have had spots last few days which is really unusual for me. And as luck would have it I seem to be getting little back twinges when I sit/drive too. Add that to my podgy belly I'm trying to hide under loose tops, it's little wonder we feel blugh and not very attractive Sad

Peaches8Posies · 22/04/2016 14:36

Looks like jo jo maman bebe have 20% of sleep bags ladies. How cute is this...

Sodasoda · 22/04/2016 15:49

I think under bump jeans are great for earlier on and then over bump jeans will work better. I'm wearing over bump jeans for first time today and they're working quite well. I'm lucky that I got a lot of maternity hand me downs but they are a mixture of seraphine and jojo maman Bebe. I also got an under bump asos pair but I find they sit too low on me and it feels like they're falling down.

bunch - yes, I think if was your experience that put me off trying lactulase! I'm trying everything dietary but the iron tablets I'm taking cause you to be constipated - as if pregnancy didn't already do that!! So having major issues!

I was very spotty (and had horrid greasy hair) in first trimester but my skin/hair look loads better now and I actually look quite good! (Maybe just in comparison to first trimester) so hopefully it's just temporary for people.

That's so cute peaches!

I'm not on hol until next weekend - just starting the countdown early! But thanks for holiday wishes Smile

Is anyone experiencing belly button issues? When do they pop out? I've got a very deep inny and find outies a bit strange! Hmm

Sodasoda · 22/04/2016 16:12

Jojo maman Bebe doing 20% off maternity jeans at the moment too Smile

BunchOfBobs · 22/04/2016 16:17

Soda my inny (though not very deep) shallower really quickly. It's been pretty much flat for the last month or more but this week in starting to see it through my clothes. When it first flattened it was really sensitive and I had the worst sensation when I accidentally scratched it, Yuk. It's fine now though, I'm used to it.

PotatosMum · 22/04/2016 16:57

Soda I've got a really deep belly button too and it's got a lot shallower and I can now feel the back of it. It's really weird!

Pinklily1 · 22/04/2016 18:19

Oh god, belly buttons freak me out. I hadn't even thought about getting an outie Shock

Nevlet · 22/04/2016 19:05

Lots to catch up on... We are camping this weekend. In mud. And rain. Sad

PotatosMum · 22/04/2016 19:11

Nev I miss camping, I'm not up for it this summer... We do glamp though so it's a bit more comfy Wink

OP posts:
Nevlet · 22/04/2016 19:24

We have a campervan and drive away airbeam on the side so I shouldn't complain. Ive more found the other couple we are with irritatinh we have been driving round the site in mud looking for a decent pitch (its a car festival not campsite) and there is somethinh wrong with every pitch or they arent close enough to the toilets or the people next door look noisey yada yada yada... Im here the prego one and im not moaning!!!!! Rant over.

PotatosMum · 22/04/2016 21:27

Oh dear... My OH is a bit like that when we go to festivals. It's easiest just to sit back and let them work it out Wink

Nevlet · 22/04/2016 22:13

Haha no chance of that not one of them offered to help us set up ! Am trying not to be a bad mood i think this is my first dose or hormone mood swings!

Laurenrl · 22/04/2016 23:05

Hope you're all well tonight. I'm getting bump love from mum and dads dog tonight!

Thread #5 - TTC#1 grads thread - now we're cooking with charcoal!
IndiX · 23/04/2016 07:28

Aww Lauren Is that a shih tzu or Lhasa apso? My 2 shithead shih tzu's kept me up ALL night barking and growling at noises they could hear outside, so safe to say I'm going to be pretty tired today walking around Edinburgh.
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend

PotatosMum · 23/04/2016 07:33

Morning all, how are you all today?

Nev I hope you got a good nights sleep and are feeling a little less stressed this morning.

Lauren that is one cute dog!

Well I am 22 weeks today, only 18 left Grin apparently Potato now has all her major organs and just needs to get fat Wink

Off to see another house today, I'm both really excited and really nervous. I don't like this shopping for a house thing as we're so particular about what we want than there's only one or two on the market which are suitable. OH is determine we won't settle though so I'm just hoping today's house hits the spot. I certainly like it from the outside and the photos. Fingers crossed!

BunchOfBobs · 23/04/2016 08:30

Morning all.

Lauren I love it when my fur boy gives the bump some love. Unfortunately I equally get claws, sitting and standing as much as cuddling my bump.

I'm 24 weeks today. 6 months eek. Apparently we've reached our first level of viability. I put on another 0.5kg yesterday. That's over 3kg this past month. I better get one cute chunk.

Laurenrl · 23/04/2016 08:35

Hes a shih tzu indi but oversized ha ha he's huuuge. Ohh no! That's annoying. I'm sure they just think they're protecting you Wink have a great time in Edinburgh, I love it there!

Good luck at your viewing potato!

Enjoy the festival nev

Mileymoocow · 23/04/2016 11:00

nev well done keeping your patience, I'd have exploded!

potato I hope this house is everything you're after!

bunch wow! 24 weeks. Not long now at all, really! I'm 16 weeks today and the fact that in 4 weeks time I'll be half way terrifies me a little.

All I want is strawberries and mango! Tried scrambled egg on toast (OH is obsessing over my lack of protein) and it was a big fat nope from baby!

Nevlet · 23/04/2016 11:02

Thanks everyone I went to bed early and left everyone to it! Feel bump has gotten obviously bigger over night and is really firm today!

Have a good weekend :)
