I am glad to hear I'm not the only one eating poorly. I've completely gone off fruit and all I want is chocolate and sugary drinks and tangy crisps. Worcester Sauce flavour is doing the trick.

Only two more days in work for me then I'm on holiday for a week! 👍🎉🌞 I hope the sun continues to shine.

I bought myself some maternity jeans and a swimming costume online last night, picked them up at lunchtime, and then promptly left them under my desk at work. Arghhhhh. I did manage to finally tell HR about my pregnancy and they confirmed I'll get full pay for 3 months before going on to SMP so it's not all bad news! 17 weeks today!

PotatosMum · 20/04/2016 20:19

Pink definitely sounds like it's time to take it easy!

Indi it sucks your scan has been delayed, I can't imagine how disappointing and aggravating that must be Sad

Feef I wouldn't worry about the midwife commenting on your weight. At the moment I'm mostly living on junk food and look like a whale. Midwife couldn't give two hoots!

Nev put the phone down! No good ever comes of replying to a AIBU but they are entertaining to read

So, viewing our first house tomorrow. It's one that I initially loved but now I'm not so sure. It is nice but the whole thing looks like it was decorated by changing rooms in a fake gothic style. It would take us absolutely forever to redecorate the whole thing with me out of action and we would hate living in it until it was finished. I think that's probably why it's taking a while to sell. We'd also have to remove the gravel from the garden and put down sod as I want grass!

We've picked out two others we want to view. One is a 3 story that looks quite nice. The other is a 4 bed that's a little over our budget but we could probably stretch to it. I think the 4 bed is OHs current favourite.
I'm slightly obsessed with house hunting
The agent who sold my flat seems a little obsessed with selling something to us and he doesn't care if it's anything like what we want or not. He was trying to get me to view houses I don't like the look of today Hmm

Having bought a house that needs a lot of cosmetic work to modernise it, I want a new build next! I do like my house though and it'll be lovely when it is done but we've been here two years now and not achieved much yet! Decorators are coming to do our bedroom and spare room plus the hallway and landing next week though and then we can re-carpet and start buying baby things! We have two box rooms and another spare room to sort but I tend to just shut the door on them and pretend they aren't there... Looking forward to hearing what one you go for, Potato!

Peaches8Posies · 20/04/2016 21:22

pink take it easy. I try and do a lot of walking and get to a point in start to get period like cramps so I'm slowing my walks down a bit.

indi i wouldn't have rage at change at such short notice too.

soda last time I was in hospital I waited nearly 4 hrs for my prescription to complete my discharge!

I have loads of cravings but whenever I give in and have them they never hit the spot. I've only enjoyed 3 meals all in, a prawn & beetroot salad I made, a cajun chicken ciabatta I had out for lunch with my mum and a paella ready meal I bought in tesco. I had a craving for angel delight (who knows were that came from!) and I made it tonight it was rubbish. I can't take the smell of anything takeaway related. We got a menu through the door last week for an indian takeaway nearby & I swear I had to get my OH to get it from the door and bin it I could smell greasy food off of it. Has any one who likes chocolate tried the new Cadbury choc bars, think they are called Melodies? I tired a square of the berries one it was really nice. Maybe too nice haha.

What's AIBU. potato is this where you ended up getting jumped upon for sharing your opinion?

PotatosMum · 20/04/2016 21:41

Leonie the never ending decorating is what I'm afraid of. I don't think I could live with the decor in tomorrow's house for more than a few weeks before getting a bit cross Confused

Peaches yes I think it was an AIBU thread I got jumped on. They are well know for people losing all common sense, decency and curtesy. They occasionally have some excellent funny threads on there like the one about the sisters who treated her dogs like children and considered them equals to her nephew Hmm but mostly it's people asking a question and being nastily torn to shreds.
I saw one the other day from a guy who asked what to do because his wife didn't want to have sex any more, literally nothing and for no reason other than she didn't want to. He was jumped on so nastily it was unreal, no one tried to help they just made fun of him and told him how horrible he was for not respecting his wife's wishes. It made me feel sick reading it. (AIBU stands for am I being unreasonable... It took me ages to work that out Blush)

Been meaning to post one of these for a while but I think it's only really in the last couple of weeks that I've had much belly progression! I'm posting 2 pics - 1 at 17 weeks and 1 from today - 19 weeks Smile

Thanks potato

Offt! Definitely the place where the crazies gather then! Poor guy. I may pop over and look, definitely not posting though Shock

Feefeefs · 20/04/2016 22:19

Cute bump soda!

I think I'm just being a bit over sensitive potatoes thanks for the reassurance glad I'm not the only one off healthy food!

Also I think you're right about the house, unless you really love and have a passion for interior design fixing that house for the next two years of your life will drive you bonkers

leoniethelioness · 21/04/2016 08:01

Lovely bump, Soda. I'm 17 weeks now and mostly look chubby. Looking forward to getting a nice bump shape!

PotatosMum · 21/04/2016 08:12

Morning ladies, how are things today?

Soda that's a lovely tidy bump you have.

I'm feeling a little list this morning. I wasn't expecting to be signed off so it feel a bit weird. I think I need a list of stuff to do... Trundles off to make a list Smile

OP posts:
Pinklily1 · 21/04/2016 08:24

Lovely bump soda!

Potato, if it's sunny where you are get yourself outside in the garden to write some lists!!

BunchOfBobs · 21/04/2016 08:59

Soda lovely bump.
Glad you got signed off Potato sounds like it's the best thing for you both. Enjoy the sunshine if you have it.
I'm off to physio hopefully to resolve the awful pain I'm getting again. Hating what I'm wearing as it's set off my itching but I need to wear tight fitting tops and leggings for her to see my "form" Hmm
Had a few meltdowns last night as had itching from hell. Felt like I was being bitten/ ants crawling/ tiny red hot needles being stabbed all over me. I was in tears and randomly stripping off clothes whilst running to the bath. Poor DH didn't know what to do. Eventually calmed me down with an oat bath only for it to do the same just before bed. I have a new found love for frozen peas now Smile
I hope everyone has a lovely day.

Sodasoda · 21/04/2016 09:19

I think it'll come quite suddenly leonie. I was definitely just feeling like I'd eaten a few too many pies a couple of weeks ago at 17 weeks whereas now I have a small but definite bump!

The itching sounds awful pink. Is this the liver issue you have?

Sorry you've been signed off potato, hope you get to relax a bit.

None of us are having an easy ride of it are we?!

PotatosMum · 21/04/2016 09:35

Sadly Pink it's a grey old day here so the lists will have to be done inside.

Bunch that itching sounds like hell! Can't the dr's give you anything?

Soda I now have an irrational hatred of anyone who says they coasted through pregnancy. bastards.

I've decided that today I shall mooch. I've got two weeks to be productive (while relaxing) so today I'm just going to go to a couple of shops and look at baby stuff then pick up OH to go to view this house.
Nice and relaxing. It's actually sitting, laying or exerting myself that seems to upset my fibroid so I'm pretty sure mooching is my best option Wink

OP posts:
BunchOfBobs · 21/04/2016 10:32

Soda it's the liver issue I'm having weekly monitoring for but currently bloods showing no more signs of it.

Potato sounds like a great plan. I'm waiting on a call back from the gp as hey don't have an appointment for a week and I can't last that long. Midwife only recommended it on Tuesday and I was coping fine until yesterday but now need something to ensure I have something resembling skin remaining. Thankfully it's not disturbing my sleep and now I'm home from the Physio I can have a quick shower to cool the skin and then drape in floaty softness- or probably shove some shorts on to sit outside. Factor 50 today as factor 30 didn't cut it and I still got some redness. Bloody sensitive preggo skin!!

PotatosMum · 21/04/2016 11:56

I envy you having a garden to sit in Bunch the Suns starting to come out here and I have no garden.

Have mooched around TK Maxx but now my side hurts (bugger) I did manage to get a room/bath thermometer, a cute bunny blanket and another grow bag though so I'm happy Grin

Might have a look around Matalan later to see if they have any nice cheap sleep suits. There was lots of lovely ones in TK Maxx but I refuse to pay £10 each just because they have something like converse written on them.

Flashinthepan · 21/04/2016 11:56

Was/is anyone else insanely hungry in the early stages? I'm 6+4 today and I'm not eating loads in one go but I just suddenly get really really hungry, as if I haven't eaten all day. I'm not complaining, I love food, but I'm not sure if it is genuinely pregnancy related or just me being a massive fatty.

BunchOfBobs · 21/04/2016 12:13

Ooh Potato you said a key word there that made me feel better. "Another for bag". How many do you have. I've got rather addicted and now have 3 grobags and 3 other brand sleeping bags Blush.

Not long until you'll get yourself one in your new house. It's actually freezing today. Looks gorgeous but too chilly to crochet in the garden just yet. I'm going to eat my dinner and catch up on Greys anatomy then hopefully head out, even with a blanket if needs be.

Flash other than during weeks 8-10 I've been starving the entire time. I eat so much. Supposedly my stomach should be getting smaller with the growth of Pip but so far it can still fit in endless amounts of food.

StarkyTheDirewolf · 21/04/2016 12:15

I was ravenous flash enjoy it!

Today's craving is sponsored by KFC.

PotatosMum · 21/04/2016 12:15

Flash that's the symptom that never leaves. I'm 21+5 and even now I will go from fine to ravenous in seconds (and usually at 2 hour intervals) and if I don't eat I feel sick as if I haven't eaten all day.
So yup, it's a preggo symptom, eat away Wink

OP posts:
IndiX · 21/04/2016 13:15

Flash I agree with the others, I haven't so much stuffed my face in one go but if I don't eat every few hours my belly starts hurting and rumbling SO loudly. Also if I don't have breakfast within the first hour of waking up I feel sick and faint. Eat up and enjoy!

Thanks for the nice messages last night about my scan disppointment, I woke up feeling a bit flatSad but I've been to the gym and the weather is bright so I'm trying to cheer myself up and take my mind off it. I've booked in for next Thursday so another week until we find out if Bean is blue or pink.

Hope everyone is doing ok, will try to catch up later properly. Hope the sun is shining where you all are X

PotatosMum · 21/04/2016 16:00

Well, the house I viewed today was really disappointing. I now know why it hasn't sold before now. As well as being appallingly decorated, it was filthy, it stank, there were marks and scrapes on all the walls and skirtings, lots of random holes in the walls everywhere, garden looked like it had been done on the cheap and was just depressing and full of dog poo, bathrooms were mouldy, they had sealed the garage door with expanding foam and then dumped some old carpet on the floor and were using it as a dumping ground and it was advertised as 3 double rooms but the third one could only be a double if you put the bed right up in the corner and had no other furniture.

In short, anyone buying it would have had to spend quite a bit of time and money repairing and redecorating.

Oh and they had flocked wallpaper with rhinestones on it hung badly in every bedroom. I've honestly never seen anything like it, I was scared to touch anything for fear of catching something Confused

On the bright side, I have bought more cute baby stuff and will spam IG with it later.

Bunch I only have two sleep bags. I have a list of what I need and I'm determine not to over buy.

OP posts:
Mileymoocow · 21/04/2016 17:14

Oh no potato how disappointing! The rhinestone wallpaper sounds erm...lovely. I kind of wish you'd taken a photo!

flash I have no idea what it feels like to be hungry any more! That's one preggo symptom I don't have.

Pinklily1 · 21/04/2016 18:50

Rhinestone wallpaper?! Where on earth do you get that? Sounds hideous!

I wasn't particularly hungry in the first trimester but am now. I'm like Potato in that if I don't eat every few hours I start to feel sick, so need to nibble throughout the day.

PotatosMum · 21/04/2016 19:16

Anyone else fed up of not being able to do stuff?

I walk slower than a snail at the moment and I'm usually... Err... Robust Confused so DSD is out on rollerblades at the moment. Normally I'd put on some skates and race her or be having sword fights (I've actually trained in medieval long sword as a martial art) and that sort of thing but now I just feel like I can't do anything and I'm just boring.
We're talking about going to Thorp Park with the kids in the summer but OH hates rides, I usually go on with them but obviously I can't this time. I didn't mind so much while it was cold and dark and I just wanted to hide under a duvet, now it's warm and light I want to go out and play Sad
