Soothing sound to calm you down

largeginandtonic · 08/01/2007 16:29

Cake, not cak (i promise!)

largeginandtonic · 08/01/2007 16:30

DONT mention KK's have no prospect of getting any for quite some time....oh the horror

ShowOfHands · 08/01/2007 16:31

ROFL I got all hormonal the other night about DH eating my sweets and he was doing his "shhhh calm down shhh bit" and I screamed "I will not shush!" at him.

I've got a trapped nerve you know, I'm very grumpy.

Ouchy.

ShowOfHands · 08/01/2007 16:32

Still never tasted a KK.

Bet they taste like yukky pate.

Frenchsmallfry · 08/01/2007 16:34

It's chicken breast, cut in to strips.

To make the breadcrumbs:

Blender some bread, any will do, I use mixed white and brown slice, 2 of each.
add 1, t-spoon of each, ground ginger, nutmeg and cinnamon.

Breadcrumb the chicken:
Beat a few eggs put in bowl,
Roll chicken strips in Flour, egg, and then the breadcrumbs.

Heat a lg frying pan with 1" of oil, I use Olive but you can use sunflower.
Fry the chicken strips gently, turning once until golden on both sides,

place in baking tray and finish off in oven on Med heat for about 5-10 minutes.

BBQ sauce to go with, 1 clove of garlic, crushed into pan, add half t-spoon of brown sugar, 4 table spoons of soy sauce and 3 of ketchup. I have to admit I don't measure these I just squeese them in. Heat gentlty. Yummyyy

They are a bit time consuming to prepare, but nice. A glorified Chicken nugget, H loves them.

Gordon, serves them with wedges in a basket, hence the name, but we love them in a tortilla wrap with salad.

Out of interest, everybody who knows the gender, does the Chinese gender predictor system here work?

Frenchsmallfry · 08/01/2007 16:37

ohh now you can all try them, sorry!

oh yes, SOH, got to smother them in paté after adds a nice touch,

Frenchsmallfry · 08/01/2007 16:39

God, now I'm being thrown off by a 4 yr old, who wants to go on the CBBC website, I didn't even know what a P.C was at 4. FFS!

largeginandtonic · 08/01/2007 16:43

They sound yum FSF, must try them later in the week mmmm

Will look at the predictor SOH and check.

ShowOfHands · 08/01/2007 16:45

Crikey at four I was content to slide down the stairs on a teatray. Computers we did not have.

And the air was cleaner, the sky was bluer and people were generally nicer.

[delusional]

MKG · 08/01/2007 16:46

FSF,

I'm so jealous you're having chicken fingers for dinner. That's what we call them over here.

I can't wait for tomorrow, when I make my television debut.

largeginandtonic · 08/01/2007 16:46

Nope it's telling me (with alarming baby dancing) im having a girl....dd would be thrilled!

I want some bloody pate now, can think of nothing else but cold pate and hot brown toast, God damn it FSF.

A KK for dessert would also be good...mmmmmm

largeginandtonic · 08/01/2007 16:48

OOOOOHHH what ya gonna wear MKG? Think i can find the programme online somewhere?

ShowOfHands · 08/01/2007 16:49

Yes ignore dancing baby, plain wrong that.

drkgpink · 08/01/2007 16:51

Show of hands,
I did the chineses gender predictor for me and my friend, right both times. My cousin has used it on 8 people so far and its 100%, don't quote me if it's wrong for you though.

MKG · 08/01/2007 16:52

I don't know what I'm going to wear. I do need to buy some new pants though. My pants keep falling down, even though I definitely have a bump. With ds I had an overall widening, and not so much with this one. So I'm going to go shopping a little later.

I'm so glad I'm going tomorrow, because if not I would sit home all day thinking about Wednesday.

ShowOfHands · 08/01/2007 16:55

Pants are trousers right?

Otherwise there will be another serious wardrobe malfunction on US TV?!?

largeginandtonic · 08/01/2007 17:00

Right am off to make tea, the troops are getting restless. If anyone has ablog thing on live spaces and knows how to go in to edit mode to add photos then i would be very happy. I am currently almost throwing things at the computer now in frustration

Pebblemum · 08/01/2007 17:08

Ive tried about three different chinese predictor sites and on one of them it said ds2 was a girl which he plainly is not (he runs around naked so much that its plain for all to see that he isnt a girl)The others have got it right though which is why im avoiding them like the plague, i did one on here earlier in the pg and it said i would have a boy so im more than happy to delude myself for as long as i can (or until March 29th anyway)that this little one could be of the lovely cute pink variety

MKG · 08/01/2007 17:09

Yes pants are trousers, but no one really says trousers anymore.

Pebblemum · 08/01/2007 17:23

Ok i cave din and went on the link

According to that im having a pink one but then again when i checked what it would have predicted for my two ds's it said they would also be girls so does that mean this one will be another little blue monster (only joking)or just that its a load of twaddle and theres a 50/50 chance that it would be right no matter what it came up with. Although it would be stuffed if you are having twins, its not clever enough to predict the sex of two babies is it lol.

Ok i am getting too obsessed with the gender of this baby now, i must start enjoying the pregnancy and not think about it so much Ive already banned anyone from jinxing me by buying the baby things with pink on them (when pg with ds1 my mum knitted some lovely cardigans which were more girly than neutral and with ds2 MIL bought me some 'piglet' vests and pink socks)Right im now going to stuff my face on some lovely fruit salad to take my mind of it (for all of two minutes lol). OOh dont i sound healthy (what you cant see is the piles of fresh cream ive covered the fruit with )

Creena · 08/01/2007 17:23

I tried that link - it told me that DD was a girl (correct, obviously) and that DS should have been a girl (incorrect). Apparently, this little bobba is going to be a girl too. Hopefully I'll find out on Thursday just how accurate that is!

Creena · 08/01/2007 17:24

Pebble - I think it seems to operate with only one gender!

MKG · 08/01/2007 17:31

fun

I tried this and it says I have a higher chance of having a girl.
