I went to my second growth Scan and clinic apt yesterday and baby is measuring large so I'm likely to be induced in May at 37-38w now! After emcs last time I really wanted vbac but that it unlikely now! As long as baby is ok that is all that matters.

nehagarg · 12/04/2016 06:46

Thanks everyone. It was nice to see the baby again. Smile

Mollieros sounds very stressful but hang in there. Still some ways to go. It will all be done very soon.

booked not long now! I'm so nervous!
cheshire will keep my fingers & toes crossed that you get your VBAC, I'm planning on one too. How much larger is baby measuring?

MollieRos · 12/04/2016 07:37

emma we looked round a few weeks ago, it made things seem very real!

booked I hope you managed to get some sleep with the BH and the backache.

cheshire that's disappointing, but as you say most important that the baby is ok. You may still get a VBAC, fingers crossed.

booked83 · 12/04/2016 07:45

Slept like a log! But pray for some dry weather up Newcastle please I can't put socks on (hubby already out to work!) and I can't fasten a coat round bump! School run should be fun this morning....

cheshirem2b · 12/04/2016 07:59

Baby has abdominal circumference of 95th percentile and head around 97th. Weight is giving a gestational age of 34+5w when baby is only 32w!
ilovepies I hope you get your vbac too!

mrsmugoo · 12/04/2016 08:45

2nd bad nights sleep in a row due to eating out Confused

Just can't handle the volume now - heartburn all night.

Thankfully all commitments fulfilled now and I can get an early night tonight.

cautiousoptimist1 · 12/04/2016 08:51

Great list dolly, thank you!

Belle beautiful name, how are you both doing? I often find myself thinking about you and tatted.

Emma the hospital I'll go to don't allow tours! I really wish they did just so I'm a bit more prepared on the day for knowing where to go rather than standing around giving birth in a corridor!

pies I don't know what I'm having either, my sister is sure it's a girl, I've always referred to baby as "he" so I think I'd find a girl a bit of a surprise! 2 people have commented that it's definitely a boy bump! We are struggling to agree on names so I hope some inspiration hits in the next few weeks.

We started NCT on Sunday - ours is 2 full Sunday's and then a Wednesday evening so not over as many weeks as some of them. I was a bit nervous about it but it was useful, hearing people with the same concerns and questions is reassuring. The Dads were so much chattier with each other than the Mums. There were 6 couples all due within around 3 weeks of each other, we are the last due date but are the only ones without a pram so my DH wants us to get one ordered this week!

cautiousoptimist1 · 12/04/2016 08:53

mrsmugoo I'm with you there! The joy of reflux all through the night but weirdly no heartburn in the day, I'm waking up with a really sore throat because of it. Milk when I get up helps.

mrsmugoo · 12/04/2016 09:01

Swigging Gaviscon cautious! I have to have the bottle by my bed now.

I do all my eating in the day now - can't eat full meals in the evening it just makes me too uncomfortable :(

strawberrypenguin · 12/04/2016 09:54

Sorry to hear so many of you have heartburn - I've managed to avoid it so far! Which is good because if I don't eat something extra about 8.30/9 ish in the evening I'm really hungry by about 3oclock in the morning!
Having a hungry day today too, sat at my desk wondering about going to find something to eat! Tired too, and lacking motivation for work!

JellyBaby26 · 12/04/2016 10:29

I can't recommend omeprazole enough to those suffering. I'm very anti drugs usually and just ride things out but it was effecting everything I did!

booked83 · 12/04/2016 11:02

Any of you having trouble putting on socks???? Or just me? Blush

Eastend2015 · 12/04/2016 11:25

Booked socks, tights, getting out of bed...!?

JellyBaby26 · 12/04/2016 11:47

Roll on flip flop season

strawberrypenguin · 12/04/2016 12:03

Yep! Just about got my socks on this morning. DH did offer to put them on for me bless him, but I'm trying to hold off on that as long as possible!
Noticed some of my tshirts are looking a bit short again too - good thing I've only got under 4 wks of work left now or I think I'd be having to but a few more work appropriate tops! As it is I'm hoping I can make these last!

mrsmugoo · 12/04/2016 12:08

Yep Jellybaby I did have omeprazole last time but I've just been lazy about going to the doctors to pick up a script for it again. Managing kind of ok on ranitidine & gaviscon as its not an all day thing at the moment, it just ramps up in the evenings.

I would definitely recommend it for those really suffering all day though.

nehagarg · 12/04/2016 12:25

Still okay for socks and shoes. Makes me worry that I am doing something wrong and hurting bubs. Pregnancy worries .. ouff!

Ugh I've got the lurgy. Just a grim old cold, but I'm flattened!
DP had it last week, DS has it a bit too, it really feels like we are at breaking point as a household, we are all totally knackered and nobody has any slack to help anyone else much!
We don't have any childcare as we didn't get DS on the waiting lists in time to start nursery before next September, and our families are all in other countries. And we are both freelance so no sick pay! And since DS has it too, I don't feel like I can call on friends to take him for a few hours either.

Whinge whinge whinge!!! It will all be fine by next week, but just knackering right now. I'm giving up on work and going to bed, I need the sleep more than the money today. And my mum is visiting for a week next week so that will help too!

I salute those of you with proper health problems!

MollieRos · 12/04/2016 13:20

Lurgy here too- I've got tonsillitis! Grubby I'll join you in the moaning about low-level illness and overall knackeredness Grin

Violet88 · 12/04/2016 13:45

Hiya, just got back from my 31 week midwife appointment, I'm currently 31+4 and baby is measuring 32 on the growth chart, which is off the top of the scale. (He's been in the 90th centile since the start of measuring). She has booked me in for a growth scan booked at hospital tomorrow at 5pm. Has anyone else had this? Midwife didn't seem overly concerned, she said he felt a nice size and that it didn't feel like I had excess fluid, which is what would be concerning. She said I might have to have my glucose tolerance test repeated as well. Hopefully there is nothing to worry about and on the positive side, I get to see his little face again tomorrow and see how he has grown. She said I should get an estimated weight for him too.

booked83 · 12/04/2016 13:52

*violet I'm 31 weeks and measuring 34 (bmi and big baby!) I wouldn't worry I'm getting growth scans (my daughter was small!) I have to take my test again (meh!)
I'm at my scan and clinic and anethasist next week (elcs!)

nehagarg · 12/04/2016 14:02

Hi Violet ... I wouldn't worry about the measurement. I have had quite a few measurements by different people this week (been in and out for 3 CTG monitoring and a scan). My bump measured all over the place. 31 when I was 32+4, 32 when I was 32+5, 34.5 by another midwife on the same day and then 31.5 the next day when I was 32+6.

It really depends on who does the measuring and does not seem like an exact science. Good luck with the scan!

MadrigalElectromotive · 12/04/2016 14:05

Violet I'm measuring a bit large too and have a growth scan this week to keep an eye on things - I get the impression it is quite common. Smile

Am 33+1 today and starting to feel pretty massive - I don't really understand how this baby is going to keep growing for another 7 odd weeks! Where will it all go?! Confused

Sorry to those who are feeling grotty - last thing you need when pregnant!

laughingGnomette · 12/04/2016 14:07

Hi Violet, the midwife measurements are notoriously inaccurate. If baby is only measuring slightly ahead then try not to worry. Good luck with the scan!!
