Good luck kezod I got the impression from my midwife that I'd be refused an ELCS (had an EMCS last time) but when I spoke to the consultant, he told me VBAC was safest but if I wanted an ELCS he would happily support it, completely different to how I had planned the conversation would go after the way the midwife had put it to me. Not that I've decided either way yet lol!

ILovePies · 10/04/2016 20:20

Good luck kezod. Definitely agree with others, if you want a section push for one. You are well within your rights to refuse induction! Don't take no for an answer. Hope you get the outcome you want Smile

1Sunnydays · 10/04/2016 22:05

Hope you get the further discussion and final decision that you want Kezod.

Just wondering what sheets anyone has bought for the Chicco next-2-me?

Belleboo23 · 10/04/2016 22:46

Hi all will still try to keep up especially while I'm sat here waiting for pain meds!! Wanted to let you know that we have called her Rosalie 💗

MindfulBear · 11/04/2016 01:05

Aghhhh. Heartburn and constipation at bedtime.... How is that possible or fair?! Not sure what to do..... Any tips?

jellybelly85 · 11/04/2016 06:32

Rosalie- beautiful name Smile how are you both doing today?

Dolly - that list is really helpful, thank you!

We're finally moved in. Just carpeting, painting and furniture to sort out before it feels peeper homely. But I've now started mat leave - so plenty of time to order others to do it for me! Very strange thought that I'm not due back at work for another year...!

In other news, one of my nipples has started producing little bits of colostrum. A good sign I guess, just very strange! 30w 4 days today.

Billi77 · 11/04/2016 06:52

Great list! Place marking

nehagarg · 11/04/2016 06:56

Thats a beautiful name belle. Smile Hope you are doing ok?

1Sunny I bought mothercare travelcot sheets which fit perfectly. Chicco's own sheets were super expensive!

Mindful sounds horrendous. Lemon juice and gravity (sitting up) are the only things that help when I have heartburn.

Lovely name belle

DH painted the wall in the spare/ will be babies room yesterday so it all seems to be coming together! Next jobs are to get nappies and change mat (about the only baby things we don't have yet) and get the baby clothes down from the loft. 4 weeks of work left from today! Hoping it will go reasonably fast - had to force myself out of bed this morning!

Homeboddy49 · 11/04/2016 07:41

Just been catching up from the weekends news. Belle huge congratulations to you. It must have been so terrifiing to go through that. Sounds like she is a little fighter. Well doneSmile

booked83 · 11/04/2016 09:06

Morning ladies!

What a lovely name belleSmile

I have my 31 week app at midwife to day and my whooping cough injection thing! (Shudders!)

Hope my blood pressure behaves today! (Had headaches this weekend with all the bedroom stress!)

Eastend2015 · 11/04/2016 11:16

Lovely name belle! I hope you are both doing well.

I was stressing myself out about reduced movement this morning- eventually drank a huge bottle of full sugar/ fat/ caffeine coke and now bubs is bouncing up and down like usual. Given myself a massive caffeine headache though Sad

laughingGnomette · 11/04/2016 11:20

Lovely name belle!!

jellybelly - congrats on moving in!! A whole new house is nesting heaven! Grin

I spent a lot of the weekend in tears, hormones and sheer exhaustion topped with mummy guilt are a bad mix. I'm glad to be back at work to be honest. Hoping I'm back to normal this weekend. DS was so lovely though, he is only 3, and currently being assessed for ASD but said to me "mummy needs a rest" and took me to bed and tucked me in. Unfortunately five minutes later he came back in the bedroom wanting me to get up again! His heart is in the right place though WinkGrin

booked83 · 11/04/2016 11:32

Midwife was relatively on time (first time for everything!) blood pressure behaved... But got to ring if my legs freeze up again (struggled getting in n out the bath sat cause of it!)
I must look how I feel cause I feel like shit n she said I don't look well! Blush oh well pick kids up n feet up after lunch! Cba today!

Torfhinn · 11/04/2016 12:12

Congratulations belle on the birth of your beautiful girl - lovely name! I'm sorry the birth was so traumatic for you, i hope things go smoothly from now on.

Struggling a bit here, very emotional, moving is difficult and feel like I'm not able to be a good mum to ds. Also struggling at work and 5 weeks seems like a long time to get through.

Baby is all good though, 32+1 Smile

strawberrypenguin · 11/04/2016 12:15

Bless him laughing that's very cute. Hope you feel a bit better soon.
Glad your bp was ok booked I think we must all be starting to look a bit worn out now!

I should be working but I'm having trouble kicking my brain into gear today! Holding out till 1 for lunch, hoping eating might help a bit for this afternoon!

nehagarg · 11/04/2016 13:17

Bless him laughing. His heart is definitely in the right place. Smile Hope you are feeling better?

Torfhinn that sounds horrendous. Hope your hormones let up soon. I have been a bit weepy these past couple of days too. Luckily DH knows to keep his mouth shut and just nod and hug me at such times. Grin

Had a growth scan today. All well. Though looks like the baby had DH's giant head. His head circumference is measuring on the 99th centile (ouch!!). Also finally mystery solved. He's head down. Yaay! I knkw he might flip again but for now this makes me very happy. Grin

Also, docs now think I might never have had OC since my itching was mild and meds havent helped plus second blood test shows levels are normal. They'll continue bloods but have stopped meds for now. Phew!

I have ugly red stretch marks on my bump now. Do most of these fade? I know some wont but have so many right now. Sad

Good news about the IC nehagarg and yay for head down!
Stretch marks do fade. They are red when new but fade to a silvery over time. I had loads from my first pg and yes they never completely go (my tummy skin looked s bit crumpled for want of a better description.) they do fade and you stop noticing them. The same ones have become visible again this time but so far no new red ones!

laughingGnomette · 11/04/2016 14:42

Aahh! nehagarg, lovely scan! And to think, you were having scans for a smaller head a few months ago! The boy done good Grin. Great news about the OC too Flowers. Pregnancy is a roller coaster.

My stretch marks also faded. I've also been gifted with some new ones this time Angry.

I'm still feeling exhausted but less emotional thankfully!! Working from home tomorrow so I can put my feel up.

nehagarg · 11/04/2016 15:10

I knoooooow laughing ... Going to chalk it up to experience and no worry myself sick next time. Things change so quickly

Glad you are feeling better. Putting your feet up sounds like the best remedy. Thats what I am doing today too Smile

Thanks strawberry. Glad some of them will fade. I have a really ugly patch of huge stretch marks just below my knee from when I broke my leg as a kid. Can do without more, thank you very much!

MollieRos · 11/04/2016 17:36

belle that's such a lovely name Smile

nehagarg that's all good news! (except perhaps the head circumference.... Grin)

Sorry you're struggling at the moment Torfhinn I'm sure you're being a great mum for your DS- all you can do is your best. And 5 weeks at work will fly I'm sure.

laughing your DS sounds like a cutie- that was so sweet of him, although it didn't last!

We've come home to some shoddy/wrong work from the electrician, he's made holes in random places, put light switches in random places (behind the door when there's a perfectly good wall on the other side!?!) and generally not done what we've asked. I've just had a small meltdown with DH trying to reassure me that we won't still have a big hole in the house by the time the baby arrives. It's all starting to feel a bit last minute!

booked83 · 11/04/2016 18:56

Mollieross im sure all will be fine.... I moved last time I was pregnant with my son! (Wouldn't thankyou for that!) feeling loads better after an afternoon of doing nothing planning another lazy day apart from washing baby clothes u got from my sister in law!

ILovePies · 11/04/2016 19:34

Belle what a lovely name :) hope you're all doing ok.
Laughing what a lovely little boy you have! Very thoughtful :)
Torfhinn so sorry to hear you're not feeling great, I have SPD so know the feeling. I'm sure you're being a great momma to DS!
Nehagarg so glad to hear you don't have OC, I bet you feel so relieved!

Anyone else not know what they're having? Keep switching between thinking its blue or pink! Sickness has returned with a vengeance like it did with DD, but heart rate is low which indicates boy! Only 8 more weeks until I know!

emma85x · 11/04/2016 19:43

nehagarg I'm glad your growth scan went well today!

torf I hope you feel better soon. Hormones are odd things aren't they!

DH and I toured two of the local labour wards last week and have decided to change hospitals even though it's 15 minutes further away. It's just in a different league it's sooo nice! Really happy with it. Has anyone else done their tours yet?! NCT also starts on Wednesday so really looking forward to that!

booked83 · 11/04/2016 23:23

8 weeks for me to *ilovepies I know what I'm having!

Tell u what Braxton hicks and lower back pain is fun! (Not!) here's hoping I get some sleep!
