Loads going on here today!! Hope everyone is Ok.
Hula hoops are amazing when I'm feeling sick so defo agree with that.
Sooooo tired today. Currently watching DD destroy the living room (she's emptied her outdoor clothes box so there are coats and hats all over the floor and now she's chucking all the dvds on the floor) from the sofa as I don't have the energy to do anything about it!!
Got my booking appt tomorrow. Getting a bit excited!
Fx for those of you pushing for elcs. I'm lucky in that my first birth was a really positive experience with no interventions (apart from a successful sweep) and no repairs needed afterwards so feeling pretty positive about doing it again!!

ChatEnOeuf · 29/03/2016 18:29

Most consultants would consider a previous section (for whatever reason) a good enough reason for sectioning again. Just say you've read the stats for uterine rupture and you're not comfortable taking that risk. Especially when you're last delivery was only last year, FuzzyO.

My nausea has ramped up in the last couple of days, it's now lasting all day, bar a nice period after lunch and before about 4pm. Old wives would tell be that means it's a boy. I'd tell them at pre 8w, even the embryo doesn't know what it is Grin

Albus I hope things start feeling better for you soon - please do keep on at them until you feel supported.

Early scan booked for 13th April, then MWs on the 26th. I'm going to have to negotiate the time off work, as I'm supposed to be on call...oops. Hopefully it'll be a quick trip and I'll be in a fit state to go straight back.

FuzzyOwl · 29/03/2016 18:43

Thanks Chat and I will say that. Wink I hope you aren't too nauseous, whilst at the same time sick enough to feel reassured. Just over a fortnight for your scan and I have everything crossed all is ok.

Wow a busy day on here today!

Hope you all get reassurance/support/love/cuddles/elcs as necessary. Albus I particularly hope you start to feel better. I have suffered with severe depression and anxiety before although never pregnancy related (yet) and it is such a lonely place. Flowers for you.

I have had more spotting today and have been booked in for another scan on 7 April to check how things are progressing. Can't believe how wonderful the people down here are at the gyne/epu and how reassuring they've been. Still worried but keeping everything crossed.

Hula hoops taste really weird! I've been feeling really sick today and tried some after reading all this and had to spit them out and give them to DP! Bagels and tortilla wraps seem to do it for me at the mo but that might just be me finding an excuse to munch on them!

Jamjar12 · 29/03/2016 20:01

Place marking but will catch up on all the news later tonight!

fuzzywuzzy · 29/03/2016 20:32

I've got a question, I've been on my feet for a bit cooking and now I've got an achy undercarriage (no other word for it), it's down below right underneath.
Obviously worrying now, don't remember having this when I had miscarriages.

Cannot wait till my scan next Friday just so I know everything is ok hopefully.

Moggysinger · 29/03/2016 21:12

finding i had this today too! Was out on a visit at a patient's house and had to wait an hour to get back to office to check it wasn't blood. That was a long hour.

Flowers to those of you feeling blue. I know it sounds all hippy dippy but for me, the best thing is getting outdoors, especially in this sun over the weekend. The fresh air helped with my nausea and def lifted my mood.

In other news ... Welcome lemon! Big congrats on your pregnancy! Grin And also to that familiar name starky, I am so excited to see you on here!! You got your BFP - yay flippin yay!! Totally made up for you, your news has actually made my day! God bless your dh and his super sensitive nose! Grin

FuzzyOwl · 29/03/2016 21:16

So glad you have a good support team at your EPU H0p and not long until your scan.

No idea fuzzy. Sorry. The only thing I recall from my mc was just a constant stomach cramp that didn't come and go so I generally think any other pains are good ones. Won't be long until your scan either.

The sunshine and outdoors definitely helps me Moggy. I am still on constant knicker watch as well although so far it has just been normal discharge.

Summerblaze100 · 29/03/2016 22:57

No idea at all about achey undercarriages. I'm sure it's probably from just been on your feet a lot.

Congrats to the newly PG ladies.

This thread is moving so fast I can hardly keep up. I have no experience with CS. My DSis had a EMCS with her first but tried for a VBAC with her second and ended up with another EMCS.

I'm off my meds. Was put on Cyclizine but I only took them for 5 days. I think my horrendous sickness was maybe due to a gastro flu type bug. Now I just have all day nausea. My other 3 pg's nausea came to an end at 14 weeks so only 5 to go. Aaaargh!!!!

FuzzyOwl · 29/03/2016 23:30

There is a horrible gastro bug doing the rounds Summer so hopefully that was what you had or else your meds got rid of the sickness during the worst of it.

Why does time have to go so slowly? I am so pleased to be through another pregnancy day but could really do with getting to the stage that I know there is a baby inside, which is only really going to happen from next trimester.

Canters15 · 30/03/2016 08:22

I hear you fuzzy, I feel like I've been pregnant for about 100 years already. Blows my mind that there is supposedly a human forming in there.

Nothing much else to report here. Looking forward to early scan next weekend. Looking forward to sleeping this weekend! Have been on call for last two days and seriously exhausted now. Feel nauseous on and off and not interested in most food. Meh. Suppose I should go to work!

onthemetro · 30/03/2016 08:44

Albus I hope you're feeling a little better and you can get the help you need. I suffer from depression and actually I'm still taking my anti depressants. I'm really worried that I'm still taking them, but I'm also really worried about coming off them so I'm trying to get a doctor's appointment for today but the line is constantly busy argh. And I bet by the time I get through there'll be nothing left for today.

Loving the Hula Hoops suggestion! I bought some ready salted Squares yesterday and they were the best things I've ever eaten - it's deffo all about the salt.

I told a few people at work yesterday, I'm only 6+2 but I do a lot of heavy lifting at work which I don't want to keep doing so it felt like the right thing to do. Don't know how I'd keep it from them at the moment anyway because yesterday I was either running to the toilet or eating Rich Tea biscuits!

Is anyone else having really bad headaches? I am usually prone to them but nothing like this, I can't sleep when I've got one and they last for ages. Ibuprofen usually sorts me out but that's out of the question so I've tried some paracetamol but it didn't do a thing. Going to mention it to my GP but I'm hoping it'll go away soon..

KitKat1985 · 30/03/2016 09:05

Hello. Just checking in briefly (this thread moves fast)! Sorry to everyone feeling low or struggling with nausea. I'm finding toast and (oddly) Bombay mix to be particularly helpful right now!

AlbusPercival · 30/03/2016 09:09

Onthemetro - so sorry, didnt mean to stress you out. If it helps at all my DSis has taken anti-D the whole way through three pregnancies and all three babies are absolutely fine. For me it is more that when I have been depressed in past anti-Ds were not the answer for me, so dont want to start taking them for no good reason x

onthemetro · 30/03/2016 09:13

Albus, oh no, I was worried about them anyway! From what I've read the one I'm taking seems to be one of the safest during pregnancy so hopefully it's all fine.

How are you feeling today?

AlbusPercival · 30/03/2016 09:36

bit better today, thinking about paying for an early scan for reassurance, but then want to put it off in case anything is wrong

JoMalones · 30/03/2016 09:59

My bloods came back and HCG doubled over 48hrs so feeling a bit more confident

FuzzyOwl · 30/03/2016 10:00

Albus I am the same about wanting a scan but wanting to put off any bad news. No reason at all to think there is anything wrong other than a lack of symptoms and I even wondered whether I have started to feel the odd movement probably wind but that gave me comfort.

lmp 25/02/2016
5 weeks today :)
typing one handed after wrist surgery so will look like a kid unless my friend comes over again to type for me
have made a few posts so far under becoming a parent pregnancy forum with
more info about me
had terrible mc last year
sooo nervous about scan that actually have referral so can make a date asap to have it
delaying until next week

I am a chef/auryvedic caterer/devoted wife fairly disinterested in feminism and that is probably my only contentious trait
otherwise super kind, open to lots of learning, knowledgeable about diet and exercise, loving and really want this baby. I am over 40 too :)

Thurlow · 30/03/2016 10:36

Just had my booking appointment, I'd forgotten how looooong they are! But the best news is that they've already said that if I want an elcs, then that's fine, I can have one. Whoop! Feel like so much stress has been lifted there. I was honestly getting my knickers in such a knot over the worry that I might not be allowed one...

pitterpatterrain · 30/03/2016 10:49

thurlow how far along are you? I went to the GP 5 March and still haven't heard anything about booking appt. they said they would do the referal to the hospital but now I am wishing I hadn't bothered with the gp and just did the online form direct with the hospital like last time

I can't remember when you are meant to do booking / first scan

LittleGreyCatwithapinkcollar · 30/03/2016 10:51

Really pleased your levels have doubled Jo. Great news.
Also great news about your elcs Thurlow Grin
I've got my booking appt in a couple of hours.

Thurlow · 30/03/2016 10:56

I'm just over 9w now. Can you call your surgery and ask? I had a letter through the post with an appt time within a week of seeing the GP. Booking appointment is generally about 9-10w?

AlbusPercival · 30/03/2016 10:58

Oh, great news Jo!

FuzzyOwl · 30/03/2016 11:00

Fab news and a huge relief for you Thurlow.

Hope your wrist isn't too sore and everything goes smoothly for you with this pregnancy Soda.

Jo, we crossed posts earlier and I didn't see but really pleased for you about your blood test results. That's great!

pitter booking in here is from eight weeks, then blood test at ten weeks and scan is anywhere between 11+2 and 14+1.

Hope your appointment goes well LittleGrey.
