Oh lily! No fun! But best you stay in and they look after you and babes and know you're in good hands, thinking of you!

Had my scan, baby all healthy and good, though somewhat acrobatic! It had its foot on its forehead at first and wriggled around like crazy! So much so I have to go back in a couple of weeks for another scan as she couldn't get one of the heart measurements, she said nothing's wrong, it's just one of the hardest measurements to get, especially on an acrobat Grin as for flavour, same applies on the wriggle front but she said she didn't see any obvious man junk, so 'probably a girl' so I'll get them to have another little peep at my bonus scan.
Pics a bit weird, just took it off the PC screen at home as DH is scanning them all in now!

Fizzy congrats! I'm team pink too! Do as much cleaning as you like I'd say because in the last few weeks you won't be able to!
Lily sorry you're in hospital again, you have had a rough ride Thanks hope scan goes well tomorrow.
Congrats Cola! Am I the only one who pushed the baby around and woke her up before the scan??? I did it last time too! That way baby moves around enough during scan for the nurse to get a glimpse! I couldn't stand waiting. In my hospital they say walk around if thy can't see properly and then they rescan!

I've got constipation Blush not severe yet but I remember this from my last pregnancy and it got terrible and I ended up with piles which was awful! Think I'll buy some prune juice!
21+4 today

lilygirl81 · 23/03/2016 21:08

Alfie thanks so much. DH made it in so I've got supplies now thankfully. Hope all goes well at your scan

Fizzy glad the scan went well, there seems to be a lot of non cooperative babies at the moment.

Nothing new happening here, going to try and get a decent sleep if possible and not worry until I need to

M2B816 · 23/03/2016 21:19

Mum doesn't live here Sad not getting enough support is the biggest worry. Hopefully OH would turn things round by next Friday, otherwise it's solo scan for me. SadSadSad

Had a work party tonight- first time a lot of colleagues found out about pregnancy as I work regionally. I feel so exposed and exhausted by talking about it and like I don't have any privacy :-( our chief exec was very congratulatory but is also massively socially awkward and said the dreaded 'Was it planned?' Which has really upset me! Also had first unsolicited bump touch :-( hate having to tell people I'm only taking 5 months maternity (as I can't afford more!) Sorry for rant - feeling so emotional!

Suziesome1 · 24/03/2016 08:56

Lily-jeez! You've not had it easy huh? Hope it all goes well for you and no more hospital stays! its scan day today, so obviously I needed to be up clock watching from 5am! Haha :) positive thought please :)

lilygirl81 · 24/03/2016 09:54

Sophia people say the stupidest things! I have no idea why, just because you are pregnant, your body is public property.

Suzie good luck with the scan today, are you going to find out what team you are on?

I just had my scan, I have a cyst on my cervix (who knew that was possible) and overheard them say to put down 2-2.5cm as a measurement. Dr Google says that's too short, so bracing myself for the doctor coming around and telling me I need to go to theatre. Struggling not to cry just now, I'm so worried

Christinedonna · 24/03/2016 10:20

lily! Don't worry! Is your DH with you? I have everything crossed for you. Just bare in mind that everything they do is for you and baby! (Plus Google is NEVER a good idea) although we're all guilty of it, hopefully this is one of many times that Google over reacts.

lilygirl81 · 24/03/2016 10:27

Thanks Christine. I'm alone just now, DH doesn't drive and seems daft for him to get 2 or 3 buses just to sit here, so not going to come until I really need him. He got taxis last night but can't afford him to keep doing that!

Christinedonna · 24/03/2016 10:35

Oh I no it always seems that hospitals are nowhere near where anyone lives! That's probably what it would take us to get to ours. Have you been given any breakfast?

Sophia1984 · 24/03/2016 10:40

Oh that sounds so stressful Lily, but good that you recognised something wasn't right so it's early enough for them to intervene and give you a stitch. Hope it all goes fine- I'm sure it will xx

bearhuggy · 24/03/2016 10:40

oh lily, I am sending you big virtual hugs. So sorry you are having such a rough ride with it all, just remember you are in the best place and being looked after by the best people, so try to relax and trust they will take care of you. Def call your DH to be with you if you need him, bus or taxi, you shouldn't be on your own worrying. Do you have any friends or family who might be close by who you could call on?

suzie good luck vibes heading your way, let us know how you get on.

sophia people are stupid and can be insensitive, just think of your end goal and don't worry about what anyone else says or does. I had a woman on the tube touch my bump yesterday....she came swooping in like a stroking vulture out of nowhere! Very odd!

Christinedonna · 24/03/2016 10:56

What I find aswell that things means VERY different things coming from different people. My sister that's so excited for the baby and gets weekly updates just like I do, she's been amazing. When she said "omg your belly is getting bigger!" That is excitement from her watching her niece or nephew grow. Someone at work that I detest saying "you're getting big" is just inappropriate. My body, baby, and life is nothing to do with you so please don't comment. That's where I think people get it wrong. They assume it's their business because it's right there infront of them. Really not the case

lilygirl81 · 24/03/2016 11:45

Heading to theatre between 1&2, then 48 hours of monitoring. If I don't go into labour as a result of the procedure, the stitch should give me at least an extra 5 weeks which would get me to almost 27 weeks and she will have a reasonable chance.

Christinedonna · 24/03/2016 11:48

Oh my god i must not have understood. I didn't realise any of this would mean labour. Is there any chance they've got it wrong? Are they still speculating or is it definite

lilygirl81 · 24/03/2016 11:56

christine I didn't understand either, but apparently my cervix is opening so early labour a real possibility. The procedure will be my best chance, but it can also start labour though I get drugs to prevent it and 48 hours in bed. There is every chance that I'll still get to full term, but I guess I'm not going to get to relax at any point in this pregnancy

bearhuggy · 24/03/2016 11:59

gosh lily I too had misunderstood the procedure, I didn't realise that it could cause early labour for you. So sorry to hear this and sending you positive thoughts and vibes...I hope your DH is en route to be with you? FlowersFlowersFlowers

Christinedonna · 24/03/2016 12:00

Certainly keeping you on your toes isn't this one! Best of luck with today. Im sure you'll be fine! Hopefully this is it now, fixed and sent home and can maybe start enjoying it a little! Although I'm not sure any of our worrying minds let us do that!

Fizzyboo · 24/03/2016 12:28
