So very sorry Becky, take good care of yourself Flowers

pod100 · 03/04/2016 12:21

Very sorry to hear your news becky, I hope you are doing ok xx

I haven't bought any bigger clothes yet, although I did buy a top a couple of weeks ago that I can wear for a while as the material was draped. However, I did find a pair of old jeans in the wardrobe yesterday that are a slightly bigger fit than my normal jeans and they were SOOO nice to wear! I guess that's a sign I need to start thinking about bigger! I think at the mo I probably have a couple of weeks left in my normal jeans before I need to think about putting hair bands around the button holes.

dottydimples · 03/04/2016 13:07

Are twinges normal? I've been getting a fair few twinges in and around my womb area. They're not painful really, sometimes uncomfortable. I'm telling myself it's fine and all normal but just wondered if anyone else has been experiencing this?

Tomkat79 · 03/04/2016 15:34

Yes, me! Sounds like stretching pains/twinges. Mine are worse when I get up too fast, first thing in morning and if I sneeze!

JulietteL · 03/04/2016 16:02

V sorry for your loss Becky. Flowers

I've felt almost human today for the first time in weeks, if not months. 12+5. Did 4 hours of gardening and don't feel like death.

Of course, sod's law means that I couldn't find the heartbeat this morning with my doppler, and even though I know it means nothing, and I still have the nausea intermittently, I am now super worried. Sad Sigh.

IrisPurple1 · 03/04/2016 16:05

Oh Becky I'm sorry to hear of your loss, and that you never got to join us. See if you can find the thread 'how to cope with the practicalities of miscarriage' on the miscarriage forum. I found it invaluable after my MMC last year.

Milly I feel bad for you but I had to laugh, as we're going through exactly the same thing! How many weeks are you? We're going away for our 1st wedding anniversary just before the scan and I literally have nothing to wear! If only we could have better weather, as I can still fit in all my summer clothes. Doubt that'll be for while though Sad

I've had twinges too, hoping that is stretching.

Afreshstartplease · 03/04/2016 16:30

5 sleeps until my scan

Until it becomes 'real'

Until I take my next baby bargins out of the packet

And until we share the news with the DC and others!

fingers crossed

athousandsplendidsuns · 03/04/2016 16:43

I have been in maternity jeans, large jeans from when I was losing the baby weight and bigger bra from when I had ds1 since about 10 weeks (now 11+4). I look like I did at about 17 - 20 weeks last time - I've just been eating so much to combat the nausea and it's all gone on my stomach. Bit embarrassing! My best purchase last time was seraphine under the bump maternity jeans - totally worth the money as they actually stay up! I am 5 foot 7 though, so they may not be for the petite (seem to remember they did different lengths though, which was why I could buy them, as standard maternity jeans are too short for me). Like last time I am getting jabbing pains when I sneeze, cough or stand up too fast but didn't mean anything then so I'm hoping they're nothing to worry about this time either. So sorry for your loss Becky and crossing everything for all the scans this week (mine included!).

SimileMilly · 03/04/2016 17:48

I'm 14+1 iris

I've been feeling awful all day. Really achey and dizzy. Hoping it's just one of those things but might give my GP a call in the morning and see if I can get my iron levels checked. I was really anaemic with DD and it was rubbish

lotbyname · 03/04/2016 20:35

odd question but it's become really noticeable.

Is anyone else walking really slowly...??

I though it was just flu/1st trimester but I'm feeling better now at 12w4. I'm causing people to get grumpy with me on the pavement and i'm going at about 50% my normal speed....

Also:

SCAN TOMORROW !!!! I'mfeelingbettercosofthepalcentapleasepleaseplease SCAN TOMORROW!!!

TaffetaMuttonfudge · 03/04/2016 20:48

Got my scan tomorrow too lotbyname. Mine's at 12:40 and I'm totally bricking it. Good luck!

IrisPurple1 · 03/04/2016 22:08

Best of luck for tomorrow both of you.

evs34 · 03/04/2016 22:10

Good luck for scans tomorrow x

Northernlight22 · 03/04/2016 22:16

Good luck for tomorrow!

goldenpineapple · 04/04/2016 07:17

Good luck with scans today!

lot yes! I am also walking very slowly - I have to leave earlier to get my train than I used to. I feel like I'm in a little slow moving bubble most of the time at the mo. So you're not alone!

leoniethelioness · 04/04/2016 07:25

Good luck!

I am walking at the same speed most of the time but I live up a hill and it defeats me every day. I trudge up it so slowly now.

Re maternity clothes: I have a couple of those skirts that are sold as being for going on holiday and have a big elasticated area at the top so you can wear them as a skirt or a dress. They help fill that gap where your regular clothes are too small but maternity clothes are too big. Smile

BadlyWrittenPoem · 04/04/2016 07:43

What supplements are you all taking now?

I'm on pregnacare, an omega 3 supplement (that I was already taking anyway and is safe for pregnancy) and vitamin c (because I'm prone to anaemia and can't manage iron supplements in pregnancy).

BigPigLittlePig · 04/04/2016 07:44

Scan today. Shitting myself tbh, it's been hard to tell whether I've any pg symptoms the past few days as I've felt so ill with this virus. All being well, we can tell dd, who will I suspect be beyond excited. Good luck to fellow scan buddies.

Good luck also to eggy (I think - altho my memory is poor) with EPAU. Hope the weekend hasn't been too horrific x

MyBreadIsEggy · 04/04/2016 08:00

Thanks BigPig - I've still not heard a peep from the EPAU Sad so hoping they will call today and that I've not been forgotten about. Luckily DH left me the car today, so if the call and want me in today then I can go - I will just have to take 11mo DD with me Blush
Good luck to all who have scans today, hope it's good news for all of you Smile

pod100 · 04/04/2016 08:36

Lots of luck to everyone who has scans today, and especially to you eggy.

I'm only taking pregnacare supplements. Haven't been advised to take anything else.

Northernlight22 · 04/04/2016 08:53

I'm only on pregnacare but need to start taking aspirin (supposed to have been taking it for the last week but haven't!)

Figgygal · 04/04/2016 12:52

Eggy how are your symptoms now? Are you still bleeding? I would get back on to them.

14wks tomorrow definitely popped at the weekend still not told my work or friends waiting for the blood test all clear they said they would call me by end of tomorrow if anything of concern so Wednesday can tell my friends and then Thursday will tell work when my boss is in. Have to say despite a good scan on Thursday I am still paranoid about losing it much more so than with DS think the stakes are just higher this time round with being a few years older (still only 35).

I am also on pregnacare but taking Pregnacare plus I took it all the way through with ds and planning on same.

Saturday I am heading out for some mat clothes in preparation and some mat bras are they still unpadded and non underwired being a 36A that really doesn't suit me I need padding!!! I had some last time but mainly stayed in normal bras and have to say I wonder if it contributed to the complete Breastfeeding failure is that possible?

MyBreadIsEggy · 04/04/2016 13:12

Another very slight bleed (just noticeable on toilet paper) on Saturday, but still not feeling remotely sick like I was before! I don't have a contact number for the EPAU, my GP did the referral apparently. If I ring my GP surgery do you think they would be able to tell me what's going on?

FuzzyOwl · 04/04/2016 13:12

Eggy I would ring to remind them and I am sure if your DD is strapped into a pram or car seat, it won't be a problem as she can't go anywhere or touch anything. Thinking of you.
