Mine isn't sticking out yet, but I'm always bloated by the end of the day.

This hiding the pregnancy lark is getting tiring now like! I think I must have found out at 3 weeks now that my dates have been knocked back to 8 weeks. Off for a night at a friends house tonight which is usually a boozy one. Just decanted a bottle of alcohol free wine into a proper wine bottle to disguise it, haha! Next weekend is going to be even tougher with 2 bank hols and nights out Confused

MsFiremanSam · 19/03/2016 18:33

Tomkat I am most definitely showing - not just belly but whole front sticking out, looks like I've put a stone on 😁

Tomkat79 · 19/03/2016 19:32

Ha fire I have put a stone on! Was low carbing when fell pregnant and safe to say I'm no longer low carb!

Afreshstartplease · 19/03/2016 19:39

I'm on DC4 and feel I am definitely showing

Struggling to cover it up to those who don't know and massively surprised none of the DC have twigged

Afreshstartplease · 19/03/2016 19:40

I'm still wearing non maternity jeans but can't fasten them

I refuse to buy bigger or maternity until after the scan

Figgygal · 19/03/2016 19:41

I've put on 3lbs but to look at me I would expect it to be more even dh said to me today you've got a bump.

Thinking of loads of reasons why can't drink next week it shall mainly centre around choosing to drive in nights out or busy day trips with family which mean no boozy nights with chums. Although I'm convinced this pain in my head is sinus related so I might have a genuine reason after all if it keeps up i would rather scoop my own eyes out than drink wine at moment.

pinkbuttons · 19/03/2016 19:48

Hello ladies, I've been awol this week as back to work now my sickness is under control (mostly). I haven't managed to read all the way back but glad to hear of some positive scans. Sorry to all those still feeling poorly too!
11+3 here, still no scan date so need to phone them on Monday.
Definite signs of bump here too on baby number 3, not so much in the morning but by the end of the day I'm looking 5 months pregnant Confused
I've also managed to put on 3 lb which is fairly impressive considering a barely managed to eat for a month! Oops

One positive though is that Work have been brilliant. I work in a hospital so have had to have a risk assessment done and have been moved to different area for the moment. I've been having regular breaks and a couple of incidents of sickness when due medication but my team have been great. Hope that reassures some who might be worrying about telling work.
Will try and keep up a bit better this week, going to be a busy few weeks on here with all these 12 week scans coming up!

LillianFullStop · 19/03/2016 20:01

No real bump yet but really really bloated by evening - DH has taken to rubbing my belly and I have to remind him that it's not the baby it's all me lol. Still managing to button up non maternity jeans but my usual bras have become very uncomfortable!

Big week for me - booking in appt on Tue and private scan on Thu (10+2).

NT scan is not until first week of April.

dottydimples · 19/03/2016 20:06

Planeteer! Let me know how you get on with the ointment. My itchiness is normally around 8pm until I go to bed. Driving me crazy! I just want a chilled out evening without fidgeting so much.

My sickness is still around, I think I've just managed to cope with it a little better now. I'm being more adventurous with foods. But I still heave everyday and have to talk myself out of throwing up. I think I might buy some boiled sweets like worthers original, I feel like these might help somehow?

Anyway, so glad to hear some of you are feeling better and the ladies who are still feeling rubbish, I'm sorry :(

athousandsplendidsuns · 19/03/2016 20:29

I raided my bag of maternity clothes today for pjs, jeans and bras. Only 9 weeks but put on loads of weight already through overeating to combat nausea. oops. dotty try those butter mentoes

BigPigLittlePig · 19/03/2016 20:34

I think sucking a sweet helps with putting the excess "I'm about to vom" saliva to a better use dotty!

No idea about weight, but am much more bloated which is noticeable as am normally a skinny bean. I'm sure people have cast an eye in the belly direction a few times at work, although I may be being paranoid...can't stand anything tight around my mid-stomach because of the bloating so am relying on my more floaty dresses for work and, er, PJs exclusively once home.

Figgygal · 19/03/2016 20:49

In still in my normal clothes but my jeans have gone from needing a belt and 3 notches in at that too being quite snug and beltless. I think I have 1 maternity shirt and 1 maternity/nursing dress that survived a cull where all else was chucked as was never having another baby. Also refuse to buy anything until after scan at which point I'll be 13 weeks

IrisPurple1 · 19/03/2016 21:04

Just caught up on last few pages - good to read about all the scans.

Figgy you sound like me - burping constipated and sinuses! I've had this virus for a week now, waking in the night with sinus headaches and draining down the back of my throat. Felt vaguely sick all day and it's not the pregnancy.

I'm only 9+2 but I have a definite belly. It's bloating in my case I think. It's gone down today but I'd be surprised if people at work haven't noticed my stomach. I'm normally slim but I feel like I've put on half a stone. I just keep eating - trying to find something I can taste - and too ill /tired to get much exercise. I'm desperate for some nicer weather to banish my cold and give me some energy.

I refuse to buy any bigger clothes until after the 12 week scan, but I've another month to go and I'm seriously considering getting maternity tights. My dresses are roomy enough but tights dig in and it's far too cold to go without.

BeckyNW · 19/03/2016 21:44

Has anyone invested in a different bra yet? I'm only 9 + 3 but my boobs feel really swollen and my normal bras are digging in. This is my first pregnancy so I would welcome any advice about what to buy / where's good to buy from.

Afreshstartplease · 20/03/2016 07:08

I usually buy bras from next as they are comfy, I have a nearby store and they stock my size (30dd) so I've just yesterday ordered in a 30e from them up try and my cups are over flowing

10+1 today and I've been quite sick this morning after having felt like it might be easing off

Got lots I need to do today and not much energy to do it

I bit the bullet first thing and ordered some unisex sleep suits from the next sale, they aren't due to arrive in store until the first so I'll just leave them there until after my scan on the 8th

Don't know why I've become so worried about something being wrong this time

Figgygal · 20/03/2016 07:44

Fresh I'm the same I convince myself on a daily basis I've had an mmc and scan will confirm it and I'm hysterically paranoid about downs, Edwards or patau. Scan on 31st so an age to go. I think combination of being 2nd and being that bit older is toxic.

Figgygal · 20/03/2016 07:46

Ds woke up at 3 as he's kicked all his blankets off then came into our room at 5.45 I sent him back to bed and he did sleep again til 6.45 but feel have been slapped this morning even after going to bed by 10 last night

Afreshstartplease · 20/03/2016 07:47

My scan isn't til the 8th

I think it's possibly down to having had three healthy pregnancies already I feel like its my turn for it to go wrong

I'm 28 so still not old enough for that to be an issue I don't think

Just feel like my luck must run out somewhere

BigPigLittlePig · 20/03/2016 08:10

Woken up by dsd sneaking her tablet out at....drumroll....4am Confused After being given death stare and putting her back to bed, the insomnia struck. Had just nodded off at 6.30 only for dd to come in. Today will be a challenge.

Good friend has just posted a bump photo - at nearly 7 months she is teeny tiny! Feel I will be her size within a matter of weeks!

Blurgh to morning sickness, am fed up of it now.

Northernlight22 · 20/03/2016 08:51

I was tempted by next sale (items are still in my online basket) but after last time I'm really nervous about buying anything. Consultant scan on Thursday and then I'll allow myself to start doing the things normal pregnant women do instead of feeling like I've been sentenced! 11 weeks today 😊

SimileMilly · 20/03/2016 09:18

Bleurgh, today was meant to be my lie in day but instead I woke up at 7am feeling vommy.

DC2 and I'm definitely showing. I managed to get away with floaty dresses and leggings for a while but a MALE colleague commented that it gave the game away.

We were going to look at prams and baby furniture etc today so we could try and come up with some sort of budget to work towards over the next few months another that was definitely NOT having anymore and ditched everything . I can't help thinking it's too early but equally we're over 12 weeks now and really need to save for Mat leave - I earn a lot more than DP so it's going to be a struggle. Has anyone thought this far ahead yet? I had ideally wanted to check what would fit in my car's boot but as it's away getting repaired it seems a little pointless looking today. DD wants to go for a picnic so we might do that instead.

Anyone else got any Sunday plans?

SchnitzelvonKrummsverylowtum · 20/03/2016 09:20

Afresh and figgy I'm the same - paranoid that something has gone wrong, and as I've been so lucky so far can't help but think it's my turn for bad luck.

My scan isn't for another month, so I have ages to wait too.

Afreshstartplease · 20/03/2016 09:46

We have a cot left from dd and she's just outgrowing her stroller

I'll still need a proper pram though

Looking forward to buying that

Baby can probably have dds carseat as its birth to 4 years and I'll get her a new one

Figgygal · 20/03/2016 10:32

We still have ds in the cot bed so that will be recycled with a new mattress, we have changing table in loft with the pushchair and that's about it. Will need new car seats as borrowed the last ones I have a friend who's lo will be going into stage 1 seat soon so once pg out in open will prob offer to buy hers as know it's fine and fits into our pushchair.

dottydimples · 20/03/2016 14:45

I've had quite a few breakdowns today. Been sobbing a lot! I'm SO fed up of feeling SO ill. So ill that the only thing that makes me feel a little better is laying down in bed. I don't want to do that on a Sunday! I want to spend time with my DP and friends and family! I feel so weak, tired, sick and just blurgh. And knowing there's nothing I can do make it worse.

And then I start feeling like a wimp and a bit pathetic and silly as I have to keep reminding myself I'm making a little human being. I'm 9+4 so I have another 3ish weeks of this at least Sad

Sorry about the moany post. I just feel really defeated and want to vent a little. Now time for some more peppermint tea Brew
