Morning All
Lovely ma & pa outfits Thom. How exciting! I just recycled a bunch of Teddy's stuff at Oxfam and have spent the £5 schwop voucher at M&S so looking forward to picking up a little bundle of summery clothes for both him and number 2.

Hope everyone had a nice Easter. Cornwall was a great change from London and I managed to endure a pasty or two.

Anna - I love the idea of you holding yourself back from spring cleaning! I am also raring to go in terms of getting rid of 'stuff' we just don't need and start afresh in the new house with a less-is-more aesthetic! Having said that, I have just bought a laundry drying rack (one of those old fashioned ones that hang from the the ceiling)...not sure if that counts as a priority purchase but there you go!

Thom80 · 29/03/2016 11:35

We don't know whether it is a boy or a girl either. The clothes are pretty neutral - grey and green - so they should work for either.

Jem01 · 29/03/2016 11:44

Happy Easter all! Hope everyone had a lovely Break. I'm still on holiday in the South of France so just catching up with the thread. Here's that photo of ice cream I promised :-)

scasce I'm sorry to hear about your mum hope she is ok now.

Sophia we bought a Moses basket as like Bluebell we actually prefer this then a co sleeper. But MIL kindly offered to get us a snuzpod so we'll have that too.

primary I feel exactly the same where has the time gone?! I've got a countdown on my phone, 100 days until my EDD..!

Anna when are you moving? New home and baby so exciting!

Thom such sweet outfits! Your MIL has good taste!

Mar what did you get? Pics please!

Yesterday I ordered a some furniture for the nursery, cotbed and dresser. Feels very real now!

Hi all just a quick post to mark my place as I had dropped off the thread. So busy here moving. I've just handed the keys to our old place back. It's been so stressful and lots of aches & pains.

Just popped to Jo Jo to get some new clothes as I didn't have hardly any. Eww the fitting room experience was awful. My bod is disgusting my arms are fat. Everything's fat.

I juat has my first half day back at work after being signed off last month and I am shattered. All I did was go through my emails but now I am lying propped up in bed I can feel the weight of everything. In other npr (non pregnancy related) i just tried my first batch of yogurt and I am very impressed. Gonna try different combos of milk and culture to see what differences I get in the results. So glad I went forcthis type of maker and not the easio. Not important but I am excited about little things these days!

Elizardo - I always wanted one of those drying racks but had nowhere for it to go so got a lakeland heated airer instead. And by a fortunate turn of events ended up with two. I love them and feel slightly let down by life that I am quite so keen on such an ordinary inanimate object!

GoingLoopyQuickly · 29/03/2016 13:41

I have also got way way ahead of myself and gone from not buying anything for the new squish to buying her a second hand 2-4year old dress. It is nothing at all exciting but I love it and couldn't resist it. I think it is because her big brother had a rolling stones pj set given to him when he was squishy!

28 weeks today, midwife appointment later. Little one has been moving lots an giving some real hefty kicks. DH is actually able to come to this appointment so will be able to hear the heart beat for the first time. Only 9 weeks left at work!!! Eeeek this is coming round quickly!

smallplainblonde · 29/03/2016 14:23

Hi everyone, I also dropped off the thread so am just catching up now. Feeling very sorry for myself today as I've had a bad rash on my thighs and stomach this weekend and I can't sleep due to the itching. I went to my GP today and she has diagnosed me with PUPP which, thankfully, will not harm the baby but apparently it will last until I give birth. So another 16+ weeks Sad. She prescribed with me a steroid ointment and antihistamines but said she can't guarantee they are 100% safe so I don't really want to take them now. Has anyone else had any experience of this?

Good luck with your appointment today Becks.

beckslovestimmy · 29/03/2016 16:33

Thanks Small, just got back and all fine. Measuring 28cm at dead on 28 weeks. Heart rate 140-145bpm. Bloods taken and referral for physio for pelvic girdle pain.
Sorry to hear about the PUPP and how annoying it'll last until birth. Does anything like e45 or aqueous help?

smallplainblonde · 29/03/2016 17:37

Glad to hear all went well Becks. You poor thing with the pelvic girdle pain. I feel bad complaining about this PUPP because I know others have it so much harder. I have a huge bottle of e45 which is soothing but only temporarily. I don't know how I'm going to cope in work. My GP said she would sign me off but I think I just need to get on with it. I'll see how I get on anyway. Rant over!!

SpeakNoWords · 29/03/2016 17:48

I used steroid ointment last time round, as the tiny quantities that might be absorbed into your system from putting it on your skin are minimal. I was less keen to take antihistamines, but did occasionally when my allergies were really bad. DS1 seems ok so far! Which antihistamines did they give you?

AnnaT45 · 29/03/2016 19:10

eliz I have one on my shopping list for utility room!!! Where did you get yours from? Washing is all I bloody do!

jem that ice cream looks bloody amazing! Hope you're having a fab time! We are hoping to move end of May. Just waiting for mortgage to be approved ( we've been told it shouldn't be a prob) then we can exchange and I'll relax!

beautician how was the move? You must be shattered? Hope you're resting if so.

small I've not heard of that. DH gets really bad eczema but swears by avenno. They do a bath oil which offers him comfort when it's itchy. You poor thing though sounds rubbish!

Had to have day off today so went shopping. Resisted clothes but DD grabbed this so its her pressie to the bub. Can't wait for them to meet Smile

smallplainblonde · 29/03/2016 19:42

Speak thank you, that makes me feel better about using the ointment. She prescribed phenegran for me. I've taken those before and they've knocked me out. I'm not good with antihistamines in general as unless they have a strong effect on me so I'll def only be taking those as a last resort!

Anna thank you, I will definitely give that a try. I actually saw it mentioned somewhere while googling remedies today! I love what your DD picked, so sweet.

Thom80 · 29/03/2016 20:14

Anna - we are in exactly the same position. We are currently waiting for our mortgage to all go through. I think that all being well we will be moving end of May, maybe before. I love our home but could do with a bit more space downstairs. I love the toy, your child has great taste. I am trying not to get anything because of the move so it was nice to be given something.
Small - I suffer from a skin condition on my body and had to come off the antihistamines prescribed when I told my GP I was going through IVF because they were too strong. I can relate to very itchy skin!
I saw in someone's house a nursery wardrobe with drawers down one side. Has anyone seen anything like that for sale?

Thom80 · 29/03/2016 20:15

Hi - I was also given something to bathe in by the GP. I will check the name & let you know.

allthegoodnamesalreadytaken · 29/03/2016 20:36

Thom I think when I was looking I saw the Tutti Bambini has drawers down one side. This is one of them:-

Allthegoodnames - that looks similar, thank you. I thought it might having to have too much furniture in what will be a small room.

I just felt a MAHOUSSIVE kick from baby and saw it!! Biggest one Ive ever felt/seen it was amazing haha!! Did have a bit of a scare today with what I thought was fluid leakage but all is good Smile just gunna have to start listening to my body and taking it more easily from now on :)

Hope everyone has had a good day, or at least has a good rest of the evening if today wasnt so good! Just finished 7 days in a row and have a day off tomorrowGrin needless to say Im looking forward to it!! Going to mothercare so cant wait :)

SpeakNoWords · 29/03/2016 21:03

Just had a magic moment SmileI'd put DS's hand on my belly to see if he could feel the baby kick, and baby obliged with a massive one right under where DS's hand was. He was chuffed to have felt it, made him giggle a lot and then stroke my belly and talk to the baby! So cute.

Ah speak that sounds lovelySmile
Having a bit of an emotional day today think these hormones are getting the better of me hope everyone else is ok and loving the pictures of baby buys Smile

dats · 30/03/2016 00:57

Hooray for a day off, scase, you must be knackered after such a stretch. Hope your mum is ok.

Bluebell I love your hexagons! I'm a massive knitter, too (with intermittent sides of crochet) - don't seem to have got my arse in gear at all for this baby but at the very least it needs a blanket like DD's. She arrived early and one of the first things I said was '...but I haven't finished the blanket!' Smile

Indians I'm sure the midwife will try and fit you in, it must happen all the time! Sorry you had a shit day, hope it got better.

Anna that elephant is v cute, bless her! I might get DD to choose something for her new sibling too - good plan!

I've got an osteo appt this week, my PGP is bloomin' awful, I'm hobbling about like an old biddy at times. I had chiro last time and it did help but I wasn't overwhelmingly impressed so I thought I'd try an osteopath. Clearly I'm hoping she'll also fix the piles, the swollen undercarriage, the heartburn and this sodding cold virus thing I've had for 6 weeks Grin

Ellizardo · 30/03/2016 08:15

Anna - it's from Pulley Maid in Shrewsbury. I really like their company ethos and they do loads of different styles at reasonable price. (Goingloopy - do you recommend your heated one? I didn't even know you could get those. I tend to avoid Lakeland as I would bankrupt myself). Love the elephant! Can't recall whether you're team pink or blue for no.2?

And I second Aveno for itching. Ted uses it for his occasional eczema.

Beautician - hope the move went well too and that the changing room trauma has passed. There was a photo of me and Ted at the pool for his lesson and I swear I had to crop my arm out of the picture because I was so horrified by the bulk!

Becks so pleased all went well with check up. 28 weeks?! Wow where does the time go? It feels so recent we were all getting booked in!
