Thanks for the well wishes ladies. The scan went great, everything looked perfect. It was lovely and feeling a lot more relieved now. We've decided to stay team yellow too! I have a hen this weekend which should be interested. My mum is treating me to a manicure later this evening so I'm looking forward to a bit of pampering.

I've been having the fanny daggers too, glad I'm not the only one.

Happy Friday everyone Cake

Vikkijayne2507 · 11/03/2016 14:14

Hi all I've also started having Danny daggers as well as kicking pretty much all day as soon as I sit down. If I. Walk a lot I am getting pelvic pain and it's way earlier than it was last time. Had my scan all is well and still a boy. Head down already and lots of movement

Glad the scans have gone well Smile feel like team blue has the majority at the mo!
I think the fanny daggers is the same as lightning crotch from what I've been feeling. I just totally forgot about it until it happened and I was like ahh!!!
I spoke to the midwife about my movements as I don't feel many and she said as long as you've felt something in a day. She wasn't worried.
beautican I would be careful with those and listen to what your body says. The extra stretchy ligaments in the hips can make lifting a leg or ones where you tilt your bent legs from side to side. When I was at yoga the other week (non pregnancy) the instructor kept asking me if I was ok with those types of exercises still.

I'm going to attach a pic of the purchase I've just bought.. I normally find things like this a bit tacky but this one I loved and couldn't resist... My bump also says hello at the bottom Grin

Cookies that's really cute. I've only bought rompers and short sleeved vests in the hope its hot this summer! Got some cream sleep suits from dd if he needs them.

I haven't got lightening crotch but I have got bad pelvic pains today. Feels like trapped wind but baby is kicking down there too so he may be lying in an awkward spot. I did a little jiggle but he hasn't budged. I'm using it as a good excuse to sit on my arse for the rest of the dayGrin

Very excited to have bought a yummy mummy change bag! Was gonna ebay one but got some amazon vouchers so have treated myself seeing as the old bag went mouldy in the roof Wink. Hopefully can earn a bit by ebaying after he he!

Ellizardo · 11/03/2016 15:06

Small - very pleased to hear scan was a success!

I kind of feel left out of the fanny daggers club. (Now there's a title for a movie).

What are people having for supper tonight?

KayTee87 · 11/03/2016 15:12

Oh no elliz you defo don't want in this club. It's like a hot poker or a tazer where the sun don't shine haha.
I am having Singapore noodles :) I was meant to be meeting a friend for dinner but she has a cold and I've had no sleep for 2 nights now so we called off. Going to eat and sleep in my armchair instead.

KayTee87 · 11/03/2016 15:17

Knat I think fanny daggers and lightening crotch must be the same thing ... surely or there's another horror in store for me at some point.
I think I've had every pregnancy symptom ever described in the first 21 weeka!

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 11/03/2016 15:31

Cookies thanks. Perhaps I'll have to give them a miss I'm just worried about getting even more thunderous of thigh haha.

Snap I bought that sleepsuit for the baby as well. I don't usually buy ones like that but thought it was so cute.

Hi - sorry about the main, but I can now add back pain to the fanny daggers / pelvic pain. I am going to have a happy Friday evening!

minieggaddict · 11/03/2016 17:24

Colemans cook in a bag southern style chicken nuggets with pototo wedges and corn on the cob here. Dh is slaving away at it while I type ;P

KayTee87 · 11/03/2016 18:27

Aw thom I'm the same, back, pelvis, inner thighs for some reason and can't seem to get comfortable to sleep Sad
Had my dinner and going to go for a long bath which will at least ease the aches.
Hope your pains ease off.

pulpi · 11/03/2016 18:30

I've had some of the fanny daggers, definitely, but more recently it's been pain around my bladder / under the bump. Stretching / growing pains or this SPD thing I've been hearing about (I think scase mentioned it?)?

AnnaT45 · 11/03/2016 18:45

Evening!

Oh god lightening crotch is horrendous. I don't want to be a negative nelly but it gets worse as you get bigger! I think the pains you can get in pelvis etc are mainly ligaments etc but they're very uncomfortable. I get shootings ones if I've been sat still for ages and stand quickly. For all those worried about SPD I had with th DD and saw a physio. Best advice is keep your legs together as much as poss. So in bed keep them together use a pillow in between of better but don't stretch them away. When getting out of bed or car swing your legs together and around to the edge then get up. Don't swing one leg out to the floor and follow with the other. Does that make sense? I've been doing this and touch wood no SPD thus far!

Congrats platinum and yah for a fellow team yellow! I loved not knowing last time and it's lovely as people love guessing!

Love that baby brother suit! Very cute!!!

Good news for us today DD slept through finally and we accepted an offer on our house! I'm now ironing and DH on a stag all weekend so doing girly lunches with friends and family all weekend.

Dinner is prawn spaghetti ( shop bought Blush) and garlic bread! Everyone else?

AnnaT45 · 11/03/2016 18:48

BTW for those wondering about SPD for me it was complete agony to get up and walk
After I'd been sat or lying down. You feel like you can only shuffle and the pain is very unpleasant. If you have this mention to your midwife who should give you a physio referral as it can get very bad if you don't get it looked at

Lucia82 · 11/03/2016 18:48

Love an eBay bargain... Well done on the new bag.

We were trying to decide what to do about a change table. We've been slowly getting rid of our bad broken furniture and replacing it so a cheap one seemed a bad buy but the expensive ones seemed very pricey for a piece of furniture that takes up a lot of space not always with good storage and serves no other purpose.
Then DH won a change table on eBay for £4.99. And it turns out on collection it is very sturdy good quality and we are very pleased.

Quite why they thought we also wanted the change mat complete with suspect stains underneath is beyond me....my husband took it but it went straight in the bin. Weird.

Scase1firsttimemum · 11/03/2016 19:14

Getting bad pelvic pain here too, just on the inside in the groin areaSad round ligament pain is an arse!! Those feeling like they've been kicked in the foof I felt you this morning!! I thoughg Id gotten away with it but man it hurt to move out of bed!! Haha

I done the tight fist between the thigh thing and thats not causing the pain and since I spoke about it it hasnt happened again so hopefully no SPD here..!

Being a bad girly and having Dominos for tea tonight.. Thought I deserved it after completing 9 days at work in a row thoughWink haha

Little Mr kicking away, not so much today but not worried about it stupidly made that mistake earlier this week, got back from work and he was doing his usual acrobatics haha!

Cannot WAIT for a weekend of relaxation and lay insGrin Happy Friday everybody

Ellizardo · 11/03/2016 19:17

Lucia - it's very odd what people think is acceptable in terms of 2nd hand hygiene! glad you got a bargain though!

We're having leftover cottage pie, home made, with broccoli...then ruining all the health by those 2 for £4 tubs of M&S bites...millionaires shortbread and flapjacks. Yum! I seem to have become totally obsessed by that kind of bitesize snackage.

kaytee - singapore noodles my favourite all time noodle dish. we've got a big family gathering tomorrow at a chinese and i CANNOT wait.

anna - congrats on the offer! fingers crossed it all goes smoothly. we're still aiming for a 28 june move, argh. been on the phone with fireplace/shower/electric plug socket men today. unfortunately ted bursts out crying the moment we get to the threshold of what will be home...i hope that doesn't last!

gnat99 · 11/03/2016 20:06

Congrats Small and Vicki! Glad to have company on team yellow.

Quick note about dinner: we are having some random freezer offerings - not even sure what some of it is, as DH is really bad for labelling! Think homemade pork meatballs, mixed with homemade sweet potato/spinach cakes. With salad. And possibly a fish cake...

Elliz I am with you on the mini snack front! Lovely those M&S ones. Someone at work bought mini tiffin squares at work yesterday as she got a new job. Was so happy that my tummy was better so I could wolf one down! Sadly at work you have to share Wink

GoingLoopyQuickly · 11/03/2016 20:11

Shooting pains up the foof could be spd.

I will need to phone up for matb1 form as I don't have a mw appointment until after the 15 week notice for work.

birdandbee · 11/03/2016 20:20

Happy Friday Everyone! Has taken me a few evenings to catch up on all the posts.

Im feeling my baby move more or less every time I am resting. This is generally laying in bed, after dinner and sitting on the loo (tmiBlush)... but it's almost like the baby is saying stop daydreaming on the loo, you have work to do, shower to get in etc haha! I still worry though that she isn't ok.... Seems such along time since we had a midwife appt or scan (only 3 weeks), but seems like a life time ago.

I was getting quite abit of lightening crotch, but only a couple of times in the last few weeks. Midwife told me its normal, but that was a few weeks ago.

Can I just ask how many baby grows people think I should buy in first sizes ie newborn and up to 1mth sizes? I think I have 2x newborn and 3 up to 1mth but have bought plenty in 0-3 or 3mths+ sizes, probably too many.

We had meatballs in a tomato sauce and mash, shop bought tonight was too tired and stressed by work to cook.

Congrats on the scans, houses and older babies sleeping through.

Still debating where to give birth home or hospital. OH likes the idea of home, so do I but I'm bit concerned as to who will empty the birthing pool after. OH is in a wheelchair after Spinal Operation.... Don't think OH is really thinking about the practicalities, nor do I like OH's suggestion of "we'll just empty it in the garden" Hmm. So OH has a reading list to get more on my page about things this weekend!! Smile

KayTee87 · 11/03/2016 20:23

Elliz they were lovely, DH made them then went off oit with his brother. Had a long relaxing bath, while u was in it all my aches went away. As soon as I got out they're back instantly Sad
Going to have a hot chocolate then read my book in pj's.
Enjoy the rest of your evening ladies.

SpeakNoWords · 11/03/2016 20:25

Birdandbee, you can get pumps to empty the birth pool and you could pump it into an outside drain perhaps?

birdandbee · 11/03/2016 20:42

speaknowords - I did wonder how it was emptiedBlush

AnnaT45 · 11/03/2016 20:44

I heard the midwives get rid of the water? May have mad that up...

Eliz I love those flapjacks! So moreish though! Bless Ted maybe when all
Your things are in it will feel more like home? When is due date? I think end of June will be fine. Just call in loads of favours!!!

Scase1firsttimemum · 11/03/2016 20:59
