Just popping over from the August thread to say 'Hi'! -waves-
I'm due on the 4th August, so it's been comforting to read up on the next few weeks and to recognise some names (Hello mascara!)

Did anyone find that morning sickness/tiredness came back about 19 weeks? I feel horrendous and am struggling to eat anything. I'm vegetarian and have also relied on tomato-based dishes, but the thought makes me feel sick now!

I've got my 20 week scan on Wednesday so trying to stay calm till then Smile

Cookiesandcoffee · 11/03/2016 21:27

lucia good bargain! Shame about people's lack of hygiene!? Who would do that?!
Jealous of your pizza scase and others dinners. You 100% deserve it!! Just had a small cheese roll before yoga and now I don't want dinner. So just yogurt and cashew nuts here Hmm but on the plus side yoga was good. And very much a TMI moment but got home and had such a good 'wind' release Blush anyone else?!?
anna sounds like a very good day with you all round! Yey!
beautician I'm sure you won't get huge thighs! Mine are one of the first place I gain weight - and some unwanted new cellulite to match. Can you do more (different) leg work? Maybe some standing strength yoga positions? Just without going too wide in your hips- eg warrior?
mini you've made me stop and think I haven't bought any rompers. Just vests and babygrows. I'm starting to think I might need some.. Well done for treating yourself on the changing bag. You'll use and love it so much it's worth it IMO. And added bonus of having had vouchers

Bird and bee you need more than 2 for newborn, if anything like my son I was changing his clothes 4/5 times a day

mascaraisamust · 12/03/2016 07:43

Hi Sophia, glad to hear you are doing well! Sorry the sickness has come back (maybe a girl?!), are you finding out? You never know it could be a July baby! I'm 22 weeks on Monday so not too far ahead.

mascaraisamust · 12/03/2016 07:48

And to add, back pain here too. Usually worse after I've sat down. Hoping it goes away and doesn't get worse. I seem to be the only one struggling to sit crossed legged in yoga! I'm tucking pillows here there and everywhere. Feel bad as some women are literally ready to give birth and I'm the one rolling round trying to get comfy.

Kaytee I'm struggling to get comfy in bed again, keep waking up on my back.

Thom80 · 12/03/2016 08:02

Hi - I am currently listening to my neighbours kid screaming. give a few months & it will be us!

AnnaT45 · 12/03/2016 08:16

I'm going to add to the moaning! DD up throwing up all night/morning. First time we've had that! Typical that DH was away. Hoping it's not a bug as I don't want it!!!

Had a lovely weekend planned... Peppa pig and cuddles it is! Hope you're all ok?

Bluebell20 · 12/03/2016 09:10

Hello girls. Very reassured to hear about everyone else's "fanny daggers"! My GP suggested I get the midwife to take a high swab at my next appointment in case it is an infection, which I shall do, but I really think it is just one of those pregnancy things.

Thanks also for advice about getting the matb1 early - I shall try that! You sensible people!

My bump was SO TIGHT all of yesterday! Properly drum-like. My friend, who hadn't seen me in a couple of moths, felt it and he was really surprised by how hard it was. Bloody uncomfortable, I tell thee. Feeling a bit better this morning though. DH said to him it feels as if the bump has spread out further to the sides now, too. Little man is obviously requiring some more space!

Lovely to see some sunshine outside today. Happy Saturday, everyone!

mascaraisamust · 12/03/2016 09:13

My bump has definately spread to the sides already, the band of of my bra won't go around my chest anymore even though it's not fatty! It just feels like my ribs have been pushed out Confused

DH has gone to get chocolate croissants, it's the small things Grin

Bluebell20 · 12/03/2016 10:07

mascara, my DH went out this morning to get black pudding and sausages, which was a real joy for me as a vegetarian [sceptical]. I wish I had thought to request choccie croissants!

Bluebell20 · 12/03/2016 10:08

Emoticon fail.

Hmm

!

KayTee87 · 12/03/2016 11:21

Oh dear, I'm usually not a hypochondriac but I've been reading all of the symptoms of spd and think I may have it - it was the inner thigh pain that made me start googling as it's no better today. Seeing the midwife next week anyway so will speak to her. In quite a lot of pain, struggling to walk normally and do anything really - so worried this will be what the rest of my pregnancy is like Sad. Feeling a bit down and sorry for myself.

AnnaT45 · 12/03/2016 11:30

Kaytee I really feel your pain it's so awful. Def mention to midwife and see if you can get s physio app. I only had two session but it was marvellous. In the meantime take it easy as poss. I didn't do extensive research but tea and cake seemed to help BrewCakeWink

KayTee87 · 12/03/2016 11:34

Thanks Anna, would you recommend a pelvic support belt? I could probably send my husband out to get me one today while waiting for my mw appointment.
Currently propped up in bed waiting for my husband to come back from shopping to help me into the bath. I feel really sorry for him, he's not complaining but it is his weekend too Sad

gnat99 · 12/03/2016 16:08

Hi Kaytee, sorry to hear you feel so miserable. I've heard good recommendations about pelvic support belts although haven't needed to look into it myself yet. I think you can get adjustable ones with velcro so they can continue to give you decent support as your bump grows.

Again second-hand advice, but I've heard thumbs up for physio, Pilates, and keeping your legs together as much as possible when getting out of bed, out of the car, etc. Don't cross your legs.

And of course tea and cake, as recommended by Anna!

Anna- hope your DD is feeling better now, and that you stay firmly bug-free.

I'm at work today, just another couple of hours to go and I can go home and put my feet up, can't wait.

23 + 3

gnat99 · 12/03/2016 16:09

Sophia, my nausea also came back a few weeks ago, and seemed more than ever to be linked to tiredness. It's eased again now though.

gnat99 · 12/03/2016 16:14

Eek, so much more to say!

Beautician, the only place I seem to visibly have put on weight (apart from bump and boobs of course) is my thighs. I'm hoping it will stop here and not get any worse, as my hips are so tight at the moment I can't do a lot of exercise.

Mascara, my back was sore yesterday and my hips are very tight. I too find sitting cross-legged in yoga quite a challenge without about 2 or 3 cushions to prop up my knees.

Indians, I had near-constant heartburn for a couple of weeks, was shocked that it was setting in so early. But then last week it wasn't as bad. Who knows what will come next?!

Scase sorry about the stretch marks, but at least they're in a good cause! Unlike the ones I have from a period of rapid weight gain many years ago.. I haven't had any new ones appear yet, but there's still 17 weeks to go Wink

KayTee87 · 12/03/2016 18:27

Scase I keep thinking I've got stretchmarks then realising it's just where a seam has dug in or something lol. They can't he far off though as my stomach feels like a drum.
I had quite a few on my boobs from puberty but they completely disappeared quite quickly to be honest so trying not to worry too much Grin

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 12/03/2016 20:16

I had to get my pjs on early today as I had to get my bra off. My boobs are so sore and itchy. They are spreading sideways. Being pregnant is so attractive.

Cookiesandcoffee · 12/03/2016 21:02

beautican I'm with you on the huge side ways expanding boobs. They feel really in the way all the time?! And they're making me feel really fat, even more so than my bump, as my arms don't sit flat?! If that makes sense?!
scase sorry to hear the stretch marks got you. When I was pregnant first time I got them all over my hips before I was even 20 weeks Blush I think if you're gonna get them, you're gonna get them. Try and remember they won't stay red and angry forever
kaytee sorry to hear you're feeling rubbish. Good on you for resting
anna really hope DD is better soon and you don't come down with anything
Second vikki on the newborn bird . From my own experience anyway. Maybe get a couple of nice ones and then buy a packet or two of super market cheapie ones? That's what I've done. (So I've got a few nicer ones for 'special'. You can guarantee those nice John Lewis ones will be the ones the explosive poos ruin!!!)

After my rubbish dinner last night I have gone all out in a greedy curry feast tonight. I'm slipping into a korma-coma right now. Trying to avoid heartburn by sitting bolt upright. indians I feel your pain. Mine rears its ugly head if I'm not careful. Gaviscon at the ready!

Sophia1984 · 12/03/2016 21:19

Mascara I feel like it's a girl, but I know that means nothing! Will hopefully find out on Wednesday if little one is cooperative. I found sitting cross-legged really painful in yoga this week - does your instructor provide blocks to sit on?

gnat99 That sounds like mine - it's not constant but seems to come with tiredness and headaches - joy! Glad yours has cleared off!

GoingLoopyQuickly · 12/03/2016 23:04

Bitd and bee. Our pool came with a pump and dp aimed it at our drain outside. However. There were some yukky bits that needed clearing up after the baby came. It also tool dp a good few hours to clear up the pool before he crashed and he os physically quite strong. I am sure with good planning it can be done a lot more smoothly and efficiently. If we get the all clear to be at home again this time, we are going to do a little more planning.

GoingLoopyQuickly · 12/03/2016 23:11

Birdandbee. Sorry for the typos. I hope you understand my garbled post!
