Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 46th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 45th grads thread is HERE

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 59th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE
for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates. I really hope that worked!

I couldn't give two hoots about how much I weigh sky, or the stretch marks. It all means I'm pg! Grin

Kate I installed the ovia pg app on dhs phone and used my login so he can look and see what's developing each week, how big it is (the fun and games gives things like baseball glove and bowling pin so better than fruit for a bloke). I think it helped him feel a bit more involved. He tends to watch my bump more than feel it too so maybe suggest that when baby is having a wiggle. Dh sees movement that I don't feel too. We have to be careful not to mistake them not living up to our expectations for them not caring. I hope you can have a good talk and get onto the same page. Flowers

Peenut · 09/03/2016 09:22

Sympathies to you Kate, Blimmin blokes. It's really hard not to take massive offence when they act all weird and seemingly disinterested. I feel like the expectation vs reality of being pregnant and DHs reactions is fairly massive and it's been the most upsetting thing and biggest source of worry through the pregnancy so far. Sky's advice of offering a sympathetic ear is good, his worries are valid if not massively annoying, this is all about ME, isn't it? Wink

I've totally bought into the impending new arrival and feel very connected, more and more with every wriggle –DH is going through what we'll describe as a period of 'readjustment'. He seems to be asking himself all the questions I asked about a year ago but the fear and anxiety is ramped up because it's all actually happening now rather than just being theory and maybes!

So, rather than lovely bump rubs and flowers it's full on MAN CRISIS 'O' CLOCK. I've started to feel really jealous of friends with husbands/partners who seem really chilled and happy about the whole wondrous arrival of a new baby. DH has moments of relaxing which are quickly replaced by THE FEAR.

Plus all this is made loads worse by feeling like a vulnerable emotional wreck most of the time for no good reason!

Hope some time to think and a new day makes things seem better and as you get closer to due date I think it'll all fall into place. Stuff nobody tells you about pregnancy eh?

5hell it appears to be my dog walking morning, still in PJs refusing to go outside with DD.

Carrot Oh no! Resurgence of the burn! Jog on acid reflux! My SIL had horrendous heartburn post baby, worse than pregnancy. I have discovered if I am standing up most of the day I don't get heartburn, sit at a desk and it's terrible, I'll just have to give up work. I can dream

Yay for good scan Mer! Must be so lovely for your family to have your twins on the grow with everything else that's happening with your sister's treatment – hope she's OK. Love that they are already scrapping in the womble!

Those pants made me do a nervous laugh Feathered!! Ouchy fanny.

Oh, I've full on started letting out a little bit of week when I laugh/sneeze/cough –better ramp up those pelvic floors!!

Peenut · 09/03/2016 09:27

Lil I'm with you on weight gain, apart from the niggling knowledge that I am a bridesmaid about three weeks after giving birth. The dress is a floor length slinky sequinned number ( I am so not a slinky sequinned girl, although it its lovely and very glam).

Ha ha! I laugh a little hysterical sounding laugh every time I think of wearing it! Still, I'll get hair and makeup done and which might make me look a bit less like the undead post baby, and it'll be so lovely to have a big family day with new baby or I think it will, reality will be chaos and baby sick on my sequins.

lildottie · 09/03/2016 11:20

Eek pee you are brave!! I hope you have a dress fitting between birth and wedding!!!

Ohwoolballs · 09/03/2016 11:59

peenut lil I haven't got on the scales since my booking in😧 My little sister is getting married in August so I have five months to get into a as yet not decided bridesmaid dress.

kate DP seems to be going in fits and bursts of paternal nesting and questions and then nothing for a couple of weeks. He possibly forgets I'm pregnant sometimes. I think I've only had one sodding back rub the entire time! lildot has it right with the Ovia app- there's a wee handprint size thing the DP finds facinating.

Abysmal Yorkshire weather and I have to venture to the midwife this aft. That means putting on trews. Sigh.

TriJo · 09/03/2016 12:44

Still in my PJs, chugging a cup of tea and watching the end of the track cycling that I missed on Sunday. Comfort mode :)

I've had to stop weighing myself too, I know I'm rapidly approaching DH's weight and it's doing nothing but annoy me. My third trimester appetite for crap food has been a bit ridiculous.

FeatheredTail · 09/03/2016 12:52

The weather is VILE.

I wrote a really long post and lost it. Phhhhhhhhhhhhht.

DH is occasionally super interested but mostly just happy/mildly inquisitive. The NCT classes have really helped and encouraged him though - a massive pro for NCT! They really help in getting the menfolk to feel included and part of pregnancy, especially with the 'how to be a good birth partner' sessions. We have a breast feeding session next week that the men have been told they need to come along to - again, emphasising that it's their baby too and they need to be clued up and included.

I would recommend NCT for that alone Pee and Kate.

My fail safe way of getting DH to pay attention to me/engage with my pregnant self is to run at him really fast then slow down and gently/fake 'body slam' my bump into him. Usually his face. Always works. Smile

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 09/03/2016 12:54

In bed trying to nap but I have an upset tummy and sore back... have decided to be pregnant forever so surely can't be a sign Confused

Mermaid36 · 09/03/2016 13:17

Weight?? Ha! I've put on a stone in 20wks, and the babies weigh under a kilo (between them)....must all be fluid and not biscuits, crisps and mini eggs

kate you can put your OHs email into the Ovia app and they will get a daily email with babies progres etc is at....

5hell · 09/03/2016 13:20

thought of you yesterday tri (not to make you jealous) as dh found out he has the opportunity to ride at the velodrome in the summer...he is v excited! Grin

sky i would say something like "sounds promising" but i think we all said that last week!!!!!! Confused ...still hopefully this slow torturous build up will mean your body is super-ready and skylet slides out quick and easy :)

agree NCT is good for husbands/partners

have given up on weight - i still weigh myself occasionally data junkie but it doesn't stop me eating muffins and cadbury creme eggs Grin

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 09/03/2016 13:51

Yes well everyone was ready and expecting for her to come last week and the baby is all like... DIVA!

Definitely gearing up for a sneeze birth. Yeah, that's my plan. If I give birth ever. I could just own this look? It works for me.

FeatheredTail · 09/03/2016 13:51

Isn't an upset tummy/evac a sign of impending labour Sky? ........

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 09/03/2016 13:59

Shhhhhh feathered I am trying not to jinx it. Imagining you fake body slamming your dp with the bump cracks me right up! Thanks for that!

SecondCupOfTea · 09/03/2016 14:25

Sky it's just an evil ploy. I too was convinced something was going to happen over the weekend, and now nothing but the odd BH.

I'm resigned to induction now...

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 09/03/2016 14:40

I have another sweep booked tomorrow. I am toying with the idea of declining it as I am not sure I can handle more false labor. However, it would be fantastic if it actually worked.

FeatheredTail · 09/03/2016 16:38

Brew - (rasberry leaf) for Sky and Tea

5hell · 09/03/2016 16:54

we're not breech...woohoo! Grin just back to back [hohum]

tea surely you have a while before you need to worry about induction?

CarrotPuff · 09/03/2016 17:05

Sky gx your body will be more ready tomorrow and a fisting is just a tiny nudge that it needs to tip you into labour Thanks

FWIW I only had arse rain as a symptom, then it went away for a few days (calm before storm?) and then my waters broke!

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 09/03/2016 17:29

I am hoping for a similar fate carrot I am umcomfortable but not in constant pain lately. The constant questioning is getting bloody annoying though. Might treat myself to a trip into town tomorrow before my appointment. It is my birthday next week and the plan is to splurge on my favourite foundation which is outrageously expensive but makes one's skin look incredible. I discovered it after needing a full coverage to conceal my bags and general weariness after DD was born and people kept commenting on what a young mother I was... I was 31! Time to reinvest. I may be podgier than I'd hoped but hopefully I can at least look young!

SecondCupOfTea · 09/03/2016 18:07

'Fraid not 5hell. It's booked for midday this Friday cos I'm an old bird so they don't want me going past 40 weeks.

Oh well, had a very quick trip to Ikea for some storage boxes and finished getting hospital snacks today. Got DP some pizzas in case he gets sent home if not much is happening (he's an excellent cook, but doubt he'll be in the mood!).

Today may well have been my final waddle, as I may not venture out tomorrow. I didn't walk very far but I'm knackered! Other than a bit of pottering around the house, I plan to spend the next 36 hours or so flopped on the sofa or in bed Smile

CountryGal4 · 09/03/2016 18:29

Sky you can't say that and not what the foundation actually is

FeatheredTail · 09/03/2016 18:34

Yeah, we need to know the name of the foundation Sky; spill.

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 09/03/2016 18:59

This is it! It is eye-wateringly expensive but lasts for months and is such amazing quality you only need a bit... www.selfridges.com/GB/en/cat/guerlain-parure-gold-radiance-foundation_397-77002296-G042009/?previewAttribute=03+bei+nat&cm_mmc=PLA--Google--Beauty--GUERLAIN&ci_src=18615224&ci_sku=59336211&$$&$ja=tsid:35948%7ccid:198779374%7cagid:10881871774%7ctid:pla-74779120414%7ccrid:40370636134%7cnw:g%7crnd:844834757601966524%7cdvc:m%7cadp:1o2&gclid=CLnIn9qjtMsCFY4V0wod_FYNrQ I haven't bought it in a long time and I've tried many, many other products and nothing has come close. Here are some reviews. It really is that good it had better be for the price www.makeupalley.com/product/showreview.asp/ItemId=126697/Parure-Gold-/Guerlain/Liquid

5hell · 09/03/2016 19:18

ah yes, sorry tea i forgot about your age-induced induction Cake

glad others were wondering about the miracle foundation too...would love to see before & after pics if you do get it tomorrow sky (an anonymous cheek perhaps?)

right, off to finish packing my hospital bag and start thinking about what to pack for chubs too :)

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 09/03/2016 19:34

A look behind the wizards curtain eh, 5hell? Hmmmm I might be too vain for that! Grin this foundation bounces light so looks amazing in photos but also not heavy IRL. Will see what I can do...
