Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 46th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 45th grads thread is HERE

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 59th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE
for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates. I really hope that worked!

Tomorrow is d day just :)

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 01/03/2016 12:05

Yay country! So exciting!

FeatheredTail · 01/03/2016 12:06

Hello!

Ta for new thread Thursday.

This week is going to be a busy one! GX your cervix is doing something Sky.

29 +3 and bloody exhausted today. Gave a lecture in south london last night and that tiny extra bit of travel has absolutely knackered me. I have no motivation. I'm cross because I have a meeting at 2pm. I don't want a meeting. I look like crap and I don't want to meet the organisation that foistered this meeting on me. MERHGHHHH.

Ahem Sorry for whinge. I'm just tired. And my bump is itchy.

Mer - so very happy for you that the babies are healthy. Flowers Cake

Can't decide on the colour for the baby's room. Torn between a very pale blue (dulux cornflower white) and very pale yellow (dulux daffodil white). Don't know the sex but don't care about colour stereotypes. Also found lots of lovely possible materials for the blinds we'll get made ....clouds! www.etsy.com/uk/market/cloud_fabric

fruitlovingmonkey · 01/03/2016 12:11

Love the clouds Feathered. I ordered the Snuzpod at the weekend and got some of their grey cloud sheets while I was at it.
Eeek country your last day of freedom!

SecondCupOfTea · 01/03/2016 13:11

Feathered just give them the pregnant-woman-don't-mess-with-me face. The meeting will be over before you know it. Or pull a sicky.

Just got back from growth scan. Current estimated weight is 8lb. I have at most 2 weeks to go, so it looks like I'm having a 9lb'er. Now I wonder why I bothered fretting that I didn't have any newborn sized vests Hmm

5hell · 01/03/2016 13:23

Country it's not much consolation but I believe slow/steady drying plaster means less likelihood of cracks etc (clutching at straws). I cant believe tomorrow's your big day - how did that happen?!!

tri good work on the cot; are you bag-packed and ready to go in other areas too?

ooh some of that fabric is gorgeous feathered ...I'm going for a bit of an astronomical/weather theme in the nursery (when i get my arse in gear), we currently have plain grey curtains in there (yellow/white walls) which i'm thinking of stenciling with either clouds, or stars; a cushion or quilt with some of that fabric would be perfect! :)

just been for a wax...nothing dramatic, but at least from now on i should only have to do a little trimming to keep it tidy...apparently a mw once commented to a friend in labour that she was a little matted down there - how rude! Shock

SecondCupOfTea · 01/03/2016 13:56

5hell Shock I'd be mortified if the mw said that to me!

CountryGal4 · 01/03/2016 14:14

I know I know it's mad isn't it?!

That mw would definitely get a smack. How rude!

Tea remember those scans are not always accurate. By mine bean should be about. 7.5 pounds tomorrow. Will report back!

ThursdayLastWeek · 01/03/2016 14:16

That's pretty damn unprofessional isn't it?!

I could really do with a trim, but a) I can't be bothered and b) hospital says no shaving.

OP posts:
ThursdayLastWeek · 01/03/2016 14:16

I've never known anyone have an accurate growth scan Tea, I don't know if that's any consolation to you?

OP posts:
CountryGal4 · 01/03/2016 14:19

You missed c) not being able to reach and d) not being able to see!

CountryGal4 · 01/03/2016 14:36

Thurs did they say anything about showers on the morning of?

ThursdayLastWeek · 01/03/2016 14:51

Yes, they said shower in the morning.

FeatheredTail · 01/03/2016 14:58

What a knob of a MW 5hell! I was talking with some medical friends the other day and they were astonished that I would think about getting a wax pre-birth. They say they're astonished every time a neatly trimmed/waxed/topiaried bush comes through to the labour ward because it's the last thing they expect an expectant mother to be thinking about.

Hasn't put me off wanting to be neatly presentable to hospital staff though

Tea the group I met with did get my don't-mess-no-patience-pregnant face. Didn't stop them wittering on for longer than necessary though.

Viroids who have already sorted their baby rooms/purchased things for babies.....how much storage do you need?? FeatherFoetus will have a very small room, but will be able to fit in a cot, chest of drawers and small wardrobe. Do you reckon you need a wardrobe? Would a chest of drawers (doubled as a changing table) be enough? Or would you need another storage reciprocal?

Yeah, I'm totally concentrating at work....

fruitlovingmonkey · 01/03/2016 15:17

That is so mean Shell! After that comment I hope your friend did a big poo during labour and the bitchy mw had to clean it up Grin

We've been having a similar debate about wardrobes. Have bought an ikea chest of drawers/ changing table thing but it only has 2 drawers and one will be for nappies. Then we've got 2 Kallax 8 hole shelf units stood upright and 6 canvas box type things that go inside the holes perfectionist in me wants 8 but they came in packs of 3, damn you Ikea. I'm thinking we will be able to store clothes and blankets in the boxes and books and toys on the open shelves. Hoping this will let us get away without a wardrobe for a while but no idea how practical this is.

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 01/03/2016 15:17

That's shocking 5hell! What a cow!

Scan went well. Baby estimated around 7lbs. Period type pains have carried on. Not timing them as don't feel like proper contractions but gave myself a cervix exam and as far as I can tell I am about 1cm dialated. Currently washing cover from DDs old car seat and making her world book day costume so it is ready for Thursday, just in case things kick off.

Love cloud motif. You viroids have great taste.

ThursdayLastWeek · 01/03/2016 15:27

We have a wardrobe in DS room because that's what was in there anyway - but to make it usable I bought one of those small plastic chest of drawers and some hanging storage. No real need for a wardrobe yet IMO

Honestly they grow out of each age range so fast you're never really storing a lot of clothes.

We've recently bought a trofast c of d fir his toys, and a canvas picture book holder when he was about 1yo.

I have had an afternoon of the most awful trapped wind/tummy ache/indigestion pain....I've even resorted to going to get teas/coffees for the team so I can stand up and wobble around....bloody babies squishing up my tummy!

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 01/03/2016 15:30

We have a changing table with storage inside for clothes and nappys. But ai am a bit of a minimalist. Everything we kept from DD and DSD is packed in storage bins by size so we can swap things out as she outgrows stuff.

ThursdayLastWeek · 01/03/2016 15:31

For eg this is babies chest of drawers on our bedroom.

Towels and muslins in red box
0-1
0-3
Blankets and swaddles

Nappies/wipes tucked into box with DS already and that'll be all we need for a few months

CountryGal4 · 01/03/2016 15:35

I bet it's yb.

Storage wise we have this and will probably get a small trunk in the future for toys should the need arise
