Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 46th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 45th grads thread is HERE

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 59th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE
for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates. I really hope that worked!

Woolballs - are you a newbie/lurker or a name changer? Good to have you on the thread, whichever! Smile

TriJo · 08/03/2016 11:55

No news here! Lots of fanny daggers when walking and feeling more than a little uncomfortable but nothing that even resembles a sign of labour.
38+2 though so little dude has plenty of time yet (unfortunately).

Went for lunch yesterday with three of the women from my NCT group who are all due around the same time, spent 4 hours talking shite because we had nothing better to do - twas fun :)

Health visitor was over this morning for the pre-birth visit, bit of a chat, few leaflets about breastfeeding and that was about it really. At least it forced me to tidy up a bit though...

Mermaid36 · 08/03/2016 13:13

20wk scan yesterday...MerBabies both fine, very active in there...looked like they were wrestling and punching each other....typical girls....They definitely take after me! We heard their heartbeats for the first time too which was fab.

Walked a mile today at lunchtime, but my lower back is killing me...If I hadn't done it already, I would say I've broken my coccyx (but that's been in pieces for ages!). I suspect this is the start of SPD/whatever it's called now...

corgi88 · 08/03/2016 13:32

hello ladies! back from a cheeky mini-break to Amsterdam, complete with houseboat.... was amazing and I now want to move there.
still not feeling very pregnant (apparently 6+2 today) and fuzzy I am also getting loads of cramps! no spotting but still just so anxious. wish could open brain, locate "pregnancy thoughts" switch and flick it to "OFF". aaaaaa. I have however deleted Ovia fertility and am NOT getting Ovia pregnancy until at least the dating scan....
mer so exciting re your MerTwins!
kate what a bummer! where is the hernia - is it not divarification of the recti (where your rectus sheath comes apart) or is it an actual hernia that pops out when you sneeze/cough? I would get MW to have a look and obviously if it becomes sore/painful get it seen pronto.
can't remember what else has been going on, but sky you are an actual saint! am in awe of your self control....

Ohwoolballs · 08/03/2016 14:15

feathered I think I posted on the JS thread when I first joined mumsnet - conception stuff, but I knew I would get worked up if it didn't happen right away and disappeared for a couple of months. Basically I lurk like there is no tomorrow but since mat leave I have nothing to do but sit on the yoga ball and interweb browse. 😬

tri that sounds like a lovely lunch, I wish we had joined up an nct group!

5hell · 08/03/2016 14:53

we dont mind a lurker wool :) ...so when's your edd? if you're on mat leave already I assume you're one of the March massif too?

sleep was eluding me a bit last night too, and making me cross (vicious cycle!); thankfully RLS seems to be staying away for now, but just couldn't get comfy and turning over is a bit of a mission!

FuzzyOwl · 08/03/2016 15:19

Hi ohwool

I need to find that switch as well corgi as well as a little window in my stomach, so I can keep checking in to make sure everything is ok.

Still no symptoms apart from stomach cramps and I alternative between constipation and diarrhoea (nice) but nothing else apart form my cold and sinus infection that won't budge and I am really worrying. I can't even console myself with the fact that mmc are rare and not bleeding is good, because I have had a mmc and didn't spot once.

Is doing the NCT course worth it if you already have a child?

Ohwoolballs · 08/03/2016 15:34

5hell edd is the 26th, had a whopping three weeks holiday to take before mat leave officially starts next week. 'Tis lambing season! (Watched spring watch t'other night.)

FeatheredTail · 08/03/2016 16:33

I lurked for a couple of months on here before joining 'properly'. It's my year anniversary this month in fact! JSer for a whole 12 months.

Lovely.

5hell · 08/03/2016 16:48

washable AND disposable feathered?...weird
i must confess to having some disposable tena incontinence pants in my hospital bag - my theory being they'll be easier/more effective/less leaky than mat pads ('though i have them too)

wool i'm the 29th - shall we race? ;)

FeatheredTail · 08/03/2016 18:53

Next recommended the tena pants as well as these 5hell! Are they like full on nappies?!

5hell · 08/03/2016 18:59

I haven't dared open the packet feathered! - I figure when I need them I won't care!! Confused

Off to yoga Grin

Ohwoolballs · 08/03/2016 19:41

I've managed to avoid looking at jojomaman because I knew I'd get sucked into a black hole and suddenly have an online basket full..... That said, anyone got a decent breastfeeding friendly bra they would reccomend? I have big boobies that are only going to get bigger 😬
5hell Lets do this. fistbump

SockQueen · 08/03/2016 20:36

You can get those netty pants for free from the hospital, I'm not paying £9 for them!

So I've come to a bit of a realisation. I know loads about the medical side of pregnancy and childbirth, but very little about all the rest of it - when do I book for NCT classes (do I book them at all?!), should I actually read some of the...ahem...less medical books about natural childbirth or will I automatically file it under "hippy crap," what stuff do we need to buy and when etc etc! Does anyone have any good book/website recommendations?

KateBeckett · 08/03/2016 20:50

Meh. Just had a sort of argument with dp. Not a shouting argument, but I feel like shit and want to cry...
Basically, since I got pregnant he hasn't come anywhere near me, we barely even hug any more, and when I mentioned this a while ago he said he was scared of squashing the baby ( Hmm ) but he said before about not feeling stuff and feeling disconnected too... Today I've had to prompt him again to feel the baby kicking, and I just said to him I feel like he doesn't care and I shouldn't have to nag him to try and feel it or to talk to it or whatever... He seems to think he does do these things but I honestly can't remember him doing it without me telling him too.

I've had a shotty day at work and I'm tired so probably over thinking things, but I've come up to bed without making things up which is unusual for us and I feel sad. Sad

KateBeckett · 08/03/2016 20:50

/me me me

lildottie · 08/03/2016 20:51

Hi all

I'm still around sky but mostly just lurking ATM as busy with work, kitchen hopefully getting finished this week and general life! Still regularly checking up for updates from you and the rest of the March clan!

Got in scales tonight and I've put on 2st so far, compared to the 22lb top of the range Google says I should've done! Oops! Oh well, it's all gone on my bump. Could explain the couple of stretch marks dh found tonight though Grin

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 08/03/2016 21:10

I assure you I am no saint. Currently murderous with rage at stupid, rude, passive aggressive texts from XH this eve. He really doesn't know when to stop. SadAngry

Still pregnant. Still uncomfy. How are tea and tri?

Glad you delurked wool get the on the stats!

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 08/03/2016 21:17

kate lots of men don't know how to deal. Don't feel bad about venting to us. It is what we are here for! Perhaps get some rest and maybe try approaching it from a different angle tomorrow? If he feels you are disappointed in him he might be clamming up. Men can be huge babies about things that make them feel insecure. You might get better results by coming across sympathetic even when really you just want to slap him upside the head

Glad you are all good lil. Try not to focus on the weight. I gained 3 stone and I am still in the same maternity clothes I bought in the autumn. I think after baby I will have a size to lose but nothing insurmountable. Planning lots of walks and healthy eating. You'll drop that weight in no time. You have a great figure anyhow!

fruitlovingmonkey · 08/03/2016 21:26

Aww Kate I totally sympathise with you. I had this idea that when I was pregnant it would be a really intimate time for me and DH. I thought he would touch my bump a lot and take pictures of my changing body. I also thought we'd have sex and laugh about it getting more difficult. Well, I was wrong. I gave him my tummy cream and boob cream months ago and asked him to do it for me every night but he soon lost interest. He hasn't taken a single bump photo. He touches it occasionally and gets bored very quickly so rarely feels anything. He went off sex completely sometime around 20 weeks and can't really explain why. All put together I feel like he's not connected to the pg at all and I've tried to talk to him about it but he just doesn't see the problem.
The only thing keeping me sane is that my friend says her DH didn't 'get' pg either and she worried about it a lot. They now have a 3 year old dd and he is the best dad you can imagine, it kicked in the moment she was born.

TriJo · 08/03/2016 23:18

Sky Still hanging in there, swimming again this evening - managed about twice as much as I expected so happy with that! DH took a couple of bump pics this evening because my mum was asking for them, I look so ridiculous at this stage! I look like I have two cantaloupes and a watermelon up my top...

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 08/03/2016 23:44

I bet you look beautiful tri I feel ridiculous too and literally EVERYONE feels the need to tell me how incredibly huge I am but I know that one day I will miss it and be hlad there are bumpies to prove it because it will seem like another lifetime... weeps a bit

CarrotPuff · 09/03/2016 02:00

Just had the most awful acidic reflux - wtf?? I'm not pg anymore!

CountryGal4 · 09/03/2016 02:18

Noooo carrot. Those things are supposed ro fuck off!

5hell · 09/03/2016 06:30

OMG, the weather! ?....so glad it's not my dog walking morning!!!

Unmumsnetty hugs to those with silly dh''s ...I don't get much interest from dh, he does ask how chubs is most days and commented on my lack of stretchmarks last night, but rarely proactively feels bump etc, but he'll do Wink
